Here's my problem. My uncle played high school ball with the Bills defensive line coach (Bill Kollar), they are good friends and annually he attends one of his games. He has offered to take me to the Bills vs Dolphins game this Sunday. While I could care less about this matchup, the catch is, it includes on field passes for pregame, and a chance to meet and greet with some of the coaches and players. I'd love to meet Nate Clemments, Daunte Whittner, J.P. Lossman, Lee Evans, ect, and I have always respected the Buffalo franchise, but the game itself will be boring. So do I drive the 6 hour round trip from CLE to BUF, to watch a game I'm not interested in, for 1 hour of fun?

The bigger question is, do I miss the Browns game? I know we suck, but I can't remember ever missing a Browns game. It's just something I do every Sunday from Sept-Dec, I watch the Browns. Is this potential experience a good enough excuse to have no clue what's going on with the Brownies?

Help me decide!!!! Thanks in advance

[color:"white"] I would base my decision on who I am going with. It doesn't matter what the Browns are doing, if I have a chance to spend time with faimily, I do it. If you are close with your uncle, go with him and have a good time. Friends and family are far more important than the Browns.

That's a pretty general statement there. There are some friends and family I can think of that are definitely less important

But I hear your point. My father is going as well, and I'm close with both of them. You're probably right, I should go. I did tell my girlfriend I'd pick her up from the airport at 5pm, but she can get a cab right??? Hehehe.

[color:"white"] What is? The "family is more important than the Browns" part or the "close to your uncle" part?

I'd head to Buffalo, try and tape/Tivo the Browns game, and try and block out any scores or halftime highlites you may hear at the game in Buffalo. Sounds like a once in a lifetime experience with the field passes and all.

Buffalo is a good time. Barring a snowstorm, I have no clue who put this 6-hour drive timeframe in your head. From Lakewood, it would take you no more than 3 hours to make it to Ralph Wilson Stadium. I made it up there is '04 from Strongsville in 2:45. Hit a snowstorm on the way back and it took 8 hours.

If you head up a day early, there is a bar near the stadium called the Big Tree Inn (Big Tree Inn, 4277 Abbott Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127) Bills alumni in town usually head there the night before. Met Jim Kelly and Andre Reed there, amongst some others.

[color:"white"] You were supposed to pick up your girlfriend that day? That complicates it a little more. I still say go especially since your father is going. Girlfriends come and go but you only have one dad.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. But I said 6 hour roundtrip, meaning 3 hours there and back.

Go for it bro. You may not get that chance again and I think it'd be a cool experience. It's not like we're fighting for a playoff spot. I don't like missing Browns games at all, but I would miss one for that.

Sorry, read it quickly. It's really not a bad drive, barring snow.

Hey...do some recruiting for us, find out who on the Bills are FA after this year and seek them out, let them know we look forward to having them in Cleveland Next year,

While the Browns are defintely not, the Bills and the Dolphins are still both in the hunt; I think Miami actually controls its own destiny with minimal "help." If that, by default, qualifies the game as an early playoff and you're gettin' a free ride, what's the question ?

I would go.

To go along with what Clay said:

I believe Nate is a FA next year........find him and tell him how good it would be for him to come home and wear the Brown & Orange.

I'm a step ahead of you guys, already planned on telling Nate how much Cleveland would love him.

Thanks for everyone who contributed, I've decided to go. I'll DVR the Browns and try to avoid any scores. Might be impossible with my Dad, he'll want to know. Thanks again.

If I was you, I would buy one plain white Dolphins t-shirt and one plain white Bills t-shirt and I'd have a marker to get them signed by as many players as I could.... even as a Browns fan, those would be cool to have....

Go to the pregame then go to a Browns Backers bar in Buffalo to watch the game.

Look dude....that is the type of deal you MIGHT get to do one or two times in your life.

I say you can't pass on that and say skip the Browns.

There aren't many things that would make me say that, but I would include that as one.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
