Almost impossible draft but I would be ecstatic. Future LT, Future replacement for Tretter @ center because I think we will move him at some point to free up cap space. QB project that we may eventually be able to turn into higher draft picks ala Jimmy G. Bottom end of the depth chart competition for WR and DT. Humphries can compete with Willies, Ratley, Strong etc. for the final spot(s). And last but certainly not least a Kicker ( in all truth I don't know who the best kicker is, I just remember Rodrigo)
Round 2 Pick 17: Dillard, Andre, OT/OT, Washington State (A-) Round 3 Pick 16: Adderley, Nassir, CB/FS, Delaware (A+) Round 4 Pick 17: Bradbury, Garrett, C, North Carolina State (A+) Round 5 Pick 6: Hanks, Terrill, OLB, New Mexico State (A+) Round 5 Pick 17: McSorley, Trace, QB, Penn State (A+) Round 5 Pick 32: Humphrey, Lil'Jordan, WR, Texas (A+) Round 6 Pick 16: Sagapolu, Olive, DT, Wisconsin (A+) Round 7 Pick 7: Blankenship, Rodrigo, K, Georgia (A+)

Does that mean we have to come up with our own?? Hmmm...ok, so assuming we trade maybe a 5th and a 6th or 2 fifths to move up at some point... That'd leave us with the norm, boring 7 picks, soooo... 2-49) Chauncey Garner-Johnson- S- Florida---My new guy after watching 5-6 hours of safety cut-ups. A stout, sturdy DB who is better playing in tight in man than roaming around the back end (though most sites list him as Free Safety). A bit high for some but I like this cat. 3-80) Germaine Pratt- LB- NC State---Same as it ever was. A Safety turned linebacker to push the WILL as Kirksey's guarantees expire this year and Schobert is a pending free agent, linebacker needs to be addressed. 4-119) Justin Layne- CB- Michigan State---A cop out pick as there aren't many CB's I like this year. A Cleveland kid coming home. 4-128ish) Renell Wren- DT- Arizona State---Generally, I'd assume a trade up into round 3 to get ahead of the comp picks that permeate the end of that round, but I'm lazy so this is our middle 5th pick and our 6th. Of course, I just realied this is also the 4th defensive guy so... 5-144) Ben Powers- OG- Oklahoma--- Not likely to ever be a starter but we need interior depth and so far our free agency pick ups for the interior O-line (Kush) haven't made me feel all warm and fuzy for Baker in the pocket 5-170) Gardner Minshew- QB- Washington St---Meh...might as well burn a pick on a developmental QB at this stage. I'm sure he'll be a mensch for the QB room anyway. Dad jokes! Yeah. 7-221) Kahale Warring- TE- San Diego State---Devalve is invisible and a pending free agent after this season. Might as well take a late round TE
People ask me what I do in spring when there's no football. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for fall

Looks pretty good. I really like your picks with; --OLB Germaine Pratt --DT Renell Wren --OG Ben Powers (underrated imo) And taking a QB late in the Draft.

So, would you give up this year's 2nd & 7th, and next year's 1st for Devin White? Hopefully that will be a very low pick. Maybe #32? So, would you give up this year's 2nd & 7th, and next year's 1st for Devin White? In a heartbeat. #32 hopes aside, we're going to be in the playoffs next year.... so, automatically, our #1 isn't going to be higher than what #20? I'm betting that at the least, we will not be a first round exit, which means we're picking no higher than #24 if we play Wild Card weekend, no higher than #28 if we get a Bye. The value of next year's 1st is basically the same as a 2nd.
Browns is the Browns

I am not one who is a fan of playing this draft scenario game as some are. I think it's far too difficult and unrealistic to try to project who will still be available at #49 of the draft much less rounds 3-7. But I understand the appeal and how many would enjoy doing this.
My question is for those who are projecting that we have a pick in round 1. In order to get that pick, what did you have to give up in order to get it? I mean from pick number 49 back up to the first round, and in some scenarios I've seen, the top half of the first round would coast one helluva lot to get there.
So what did you have to pay for that pick?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

2nd & next year's first. Gambling that next year's first is a late pick. I was going for Devin White but when I picked Josh Allen was there so...

lol, I know, it's a ridiculous game. I would consider giving up this year's 2nd and next year's first to get back into the first for a prime player like Devin White. Or a monster pass rushing DL.

Using Drafttek.com's most recent mock (April 3), I drafted for the Browns based on who was stil available at our pick:
#49 DeAndre Baker Cb Georgia Also considered - Abrams S MSU or CGJ S Fla but Baker is my top rated Cb and didn't get selected until pick #65 in this particular mock Drafttek pick - Rock Ya-Sin Cb Temple
#80 Darnell Savage S Maryland Also considered - Amani Hooker S Iowa, Vosean Joseph OLB Fla, Renell Wren DT ASU, David Long OLB WV, Isaiah Prince OT OSU, D'Andre Walker OLB Georgia Drafttek pick - Khalen Saunders DT Western Illinois
#119 Micheal Deiter OT Wisconsin Also considered - Gary Johnson OLB Texas, Max Scharping OT Northern Iowa Drafttek pick - Max Scharping OT Northern Iowa
#144 Olive Sagapolu DT Wisconsin Dontavious Russell DT Auburn Drafftek Pick - Mike Bell S Frasno St
#155 Bryce Love Rb Stanford Dontavious Russell DT Auburn, TJ Edwards OLB Wisc Drafttek pick - Drue Tranquil OLB ND
#170 Ryan Finley Qb NCST Gardner Minshew Qb WSU, Shereef Miller Edge PSU Drafttek pick - Wyatt Ray Edge BC
#189 Khalil Hodge OLB Buffalo Te'Von Coney ILB ND, Miles Boykin Wr ND Drafttek pick - Te'Von Coney ILB ND
#221 Kendall Joseph ILB Clemson LIL'jordan Humphries Wr Texas, Anthony Johnson Wr Buffalo, Mark Fields Cb Clemson Drafttek Pick - Jackson Barton OT Utah
Very happy with my first 2 picks we shore up our defensive backfield
Deiter might be a reach but I think we need OT depth and I didn't like any of the other OT who might be available later except Sharping but I like Deiter a little better though most seem have Sharping ranked a little higher
Sagapolu give some bulk to the DT position and adds depth Love replaces Duke - assuming he is traded Finley gives us a good young backup Qb to develop
Khalil Hodge and Kendall Joseph give much needed depth at Lb Both were very productive though Hodge had a terrible combine performance Heard Dabo Sweeney talking about Joseph and how he was the Qb of their defense Hopefully one will develop to replace Joe Shobert. Shobert is in the last year of his contract and will surely want a big raise which I personally don't think he is worth. Worst case scenario these 2 will be great special teams players.
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

This isn't a game mock, but rather my one and only. I did a full mock until #49, then just picked players on my big board available at the remaining spots. The full mock was based on a combo of need and draft visits from each team (private workouts taking priority). Here's what I came up with for the Browns.
BTW, the pick number may be off one due to me leaving the Giants forfeit of #71 in my spreadsheet.
49 Dionte Thompson, Alabama, S (his name wasn't on many team's visit list - I think he goes much earlier) 81 Trysten Hill, UCF, DT 120 Jalen Jelks, Oregon, Edge 144 Iman Marshall, USC, CB 155 Khalil Hodge, Buffalo, LB 170 Stephen Denmark, Valdosta State, CB 190 Devine Ozigbo, Nebraska, RB 222 Trey Pipkins, Souix Falls, OT

I did more of the full draft - to the 5th round. It modified some of the later guys and I updated it accordingly. I'm looking forward to the draft this weekend to check out who the new guys will be.

Because of No Tight End, no Running Back, and no Offensive line until the 7th, I don't like that draft.

Had an RB, and would change it back if Johnson is traded today or tomorrow. I don't see TE as a large need, but I get it. I think we go mostly D in the draft.
