In Fulton, they say Samuel Mancino's. Good pizza, good food. I'd put Mom's Diner right up there as well.
In Williams County, they say Wyse Guy's. It's owned by a brother to the owner of Mom's Diner. Great food, but I'd also put Myro's in Bryan right up there. Good stuff there.
In Henry county they say Hawks. I'd put Clubhouse Pizza ahead though. (clubhouse did win in putnam county I see)
And in Lucas they say Pizza Papalis. Never had it, but The Village Idiot is tops for what I've had.
Cuyahoga County: Crust is a really good pie, but I also really like Geraci's, Angelo's in Lakewood and Sweet Basil in Westlake and specifically, the Sunnyside pie at Bar Cento in Ohio City.
Summit County: Luigi's. Absolutely agree
Medina County: Samosky's. Good, not the best. Not a lot of other great spots I've had though.
Wayne County: Coccia House. Agreed.
Franklin: Harvest Pizza. Very good. Also really like Natalie's Coal Fired Pizza. On a nostalgic note, Catfish Biffs for many a drunken nights heading back to my dorm at Smith Hall at Ohio State.
I live in SC now, but when we lived in Stark County, our favorite was always Pizza Oven. We always make sure to order their pizza when we return to Ohio.
The pizza places here in Columbia, SC are terrible. We make our own. However, we actually have had Pizza Oven on Lincoln Way ship their pizza to us in SC. The shipping charges are beyond outrageous, but that is the way it goes.
I don't know about any pizza in Ohio, but I have been to Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix several times and it's the best pizza I've ever had anywhere. It's routinely rated among the best pizza places in the country. It's very good and I recommend anyone going there if they are in the Phoenix area.
It all depends on my mood. They list Wedgewood as the best in YTown, but I don't agree with that. I have been there about 3 times, each time years after a so-so experience. I figure I'll give them another chance, and .. so-so.
Their people are usually pretty ... if not outright rude, let's just say off-putting. "Here's your pizza. It's $X.XX." I have not heard a thank you from them ever. Their pizza always seems to let me down, as well.
Depending on my mood, I could go for Elmton, Inner Circle, Cornersburg, Belleria, Renalto's when I get up to Niles .... I even recently stopped in at Southgate Pizza, which is a cheaper place, but it was pretty good. Their pepperoni and sausage had a bit of spiciness, though their sauce isn't quite as flavorful as others.
Years ago (probably 25+) there was a place called Luciano's, on Market St in Boardman, in the old Worldwide Auto Parts building, IIRC. Man they had great food. (including pizza)
I also like Marco's, for a chain store. They have some great ingredients for a chain store.

Yeah, that's their Austintown location. They might be better than Boardman, where I have been.

Blew it for Clark in our opinion. Certain to have its favorites and fans, but we were surprised this one got mentioned at all. I was surprised a great deal.

Citizen's Pie in Collinwood is another one I think is better than Crust. Okay, I need to stop. I could literally eat pizza for every meal and I'm already starving.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.
In Cuyahoga - I've always liked Master Pizza and Rascal House pizza. I also heard that Angelo's in Lakewood is really good, but I haven't tried it yet.

"The Elmton" is my favorite pizza in the world. Chicago, NYC, doesn't matter. When my wife was stuck on 3rd shift at Lordstown, "pizza night" meant Elmton. We would order a couple extras and someone would bring it to the plant from Struthers... I would drive out at midnight to grab mine lol.
Check out Republic Pizzeria & Pub on Lincoln if you get a chance. They've been there about 2 years. Friends of the family and of "Alberini's" restaurant fame... they make a great pie.
The area I grew up in was the Miami County, Montgomery County, Green County area. There is a local chain there called Marion's.
It started with one location on N. Dixie Drive in Dayton and expanded into both Green and Miami counties as the years passed.
They call it "Dayton Style Pizza". It has a thin crust with ample toppings which is cut into bite size squares and is some of the best pizza I've ever eaten. It's one of the things I miss most about the Dayton area. I haven't found anything around Nashville that can compare to it.
I highly recommend that if you're in the Dayton Area you give Marion's a try.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
Do any of the aforementioned joints have white clam pizza?
Pass.

If so, they get my unconditional vote.
A really good buddy of mine went to Yale for grad school. Visited him and went to Frank Pepe's. The white clam pizza was delicious. Coal fired pizza is always great pizza.
Never even heard of Harvest Pizza, and oh look it's in German Village.
Columbus!
Not everything needs to be expensive and elitist to be good!
Sometimes on the way up I stop in Columbus for lunch. I like Plank's, on Parson st.
In Cleveland the only Pie I ever order is a delivery type to eat in the room. Pizza by Robert is pretty good pie.
You should try Stadz next time you're in town if you like Planks. It's a bit out of the way from downtown but ti's very good. It's better pizza than planks and they don't use sugar in their sauce. Similar though!
Giuseppe's pizza & subs is also really good. It's in Willowick, Ohio (I think they have 2 locations). "The square pizza." I've eaten it so many times I don't eat it anymore, it's in my DNA.
Franklin: Harvest Pizza. Very good. Also really like Natalie's Coal Fired Pizza. On a nostalgic note, Catfish Biffs for many a drunken nights heading back to my dorm at Smith Hall at Ohio State.
Natalie's is my favorite but haven't had harvest yet.
Trumbull:. Love Sunrise. Their white pizza is delicious

Edison's is my favorite, their pepperoni is edge to edge. If you hate grease, you won't like it...but it tastes amazing. Citizen Pie has opened a spot on W 25 (near Bakersfield). Also a very good pizza. I've never had Crust, but I think it would be hard for them to beat either Edison's or Citizen Pie.

Thanks for the heads up. I spend the night in Columbus every once in a while. I like planks because it is close to the interstate. I found Planks because of Vince Gill. He plays a Christmas show here every year and I usually buy the VIP ticket because of the charity. Up close tickets and a meet and greet before the show. He grew up in Columbus and said whenever he goes to Columbus to do a show he has to eat at Planks. The next year I found Planks and bought a Tee-shirt that I gave to Vince the next Christmas. He was ecstatic.
He didn't give me a signed Guitar or anything...just a big smile and a man hug of sorts. It was cool.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
Blew it for Clark in our opinion. Certain to have its favorites and fans, but we were surprised this one got mentioned at all. I was surprised a great deal.
Same here in Champaign . The place that was listed only makes a margarita style flat bread as a appetizer. No other pizza is made there and is definatly not the best avaliable

Great pizza.
My shop is a block or so from Pizza Oven. We get it a lot on Fridays. It's really good.
In Tuscarawas County, Park Street Pizza is awesome. They have a ton of variety and even some off the wall stuff. Kinda pricey but worth it.
Fairfield county 'Pink Cricket' is not even close to the best pizza! There are a number of pizza shops that are better. Pink cricket reminds me of a Bar that decided it would serve food one day and nobody had a clue how to do that. I'd compare it to a donato's / gas station pizza hybrid!
