I am talking about when Hunt returns. Hunt is was better than Duke.
I am not saying we trade Duke now, I am thinking more towards the trade deadline.
Freddie was Dukes position coach. If he thought he should get more chances, he would have said something. Then as his OC he could have done something, and didn't.
One has to ask the question. Why??

And Hunt is fantastic at catching the ball out of the backfield just like Duke is, only Hunt can be used as an every down RB unlike Duke. It's like having Duke on steroids. Only without having to actually use steroids. The elephant in the room is something nobody wants to talk about. We drafted Corbett and are using him to replace Zeitler. Zeitler is a top notch player at his position. Dorsey had no problem trading Zeitler to fill a weaker position on the field. So what makes anyone think he wouldn't do the same thing with a situational RB when he's already upgraded with Hunt?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

you think He is going to pop into the #2 spot right away Absolutely. Undoubtedly. Unflinchingly. Why? Because he will be here all spring and summer and through all of the OTA's, mini-camps, and training camp working and earning... and Duke cannot hold a candle to him. The moment he is available, he is ahead of Duke for ANY role. In fact, I will word it this way - he will be ahead of Duke before final roster cuts and the only reason Duke will move up (if he is even still here) will be because of the suspension. Hunt is not an upgrade for Hilliard - Hunt is an upgrade for the entire RB room, and that *could* include Chubb. Hunt - potentially - is to the RB's what OBJ is to the WR's.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

I agree.
Heck, Hilliard might be better than Duke.

I too think Hunt "WAS" a better RB than Duke. Had a little more ability to run inside than Duke.
In space both are dangerous. Duke has more ability to break ankles.
When Hunt comes back he will not be given the reps that Duke is garnishing. He'll have to come back and earn those reps. His season pretty much will start in 2020 ASSuming we do sign him probably tender him. Then sign him.
Possibly yes, Duke might get traded then??? who knows. Possibly we will see Duke actually taking on that WR role???
I know its something he wishes.
Actually Freddie targeted Duke more and his first day as the OC as you said he was Dukes position coach and he got 9 receptions that first game. Then Freddie more or less discovered everyones talent.
But Dukes touches as running went down but his Pass catching opportunities were increased. He actually blocked better and was there for Baker as a WR.
So I don't understand your point. He was utilized more under Kitchens then he was with Haley. Done something and didn't??? I didn't see that. man I gave the stats on this to back me up on my theory and its ignored and another narrative is given.
sorry I don't get it. I'm not saying he was EVER going to get more running reps than Chubb. But many of you are giving the job earned by DUKE and given a new contract by Dorsey. Over to a kid who has some character issues and if another is made he will be gone for a long time.
He also will need to knock off a lot of rust when he comes back in game #9.
2020...we will see if he takes over the backup RB role and 3rd down back from Duke.
