Glad we resigned Orson Charles Love his attitude Agreed...very fiery and passionate player, I always saw him pep talking others up and firing up the squad...Baker seems to enjoy him a lot as well...always plays through the whistle if not after lol I love the resigning of him.

If Dorsey pulls this off, I don't know if I'll be able to get any more stoked. Signing Tre Boston shouldn't be hard. He signed a one year, $1.5 million contract last year. Odd thing is, he is always signing cheap one year deals (not sure if any multiple year deals were offered, I remember when he was a Panther...and they oddly let him go, then it's always been small one year deals since then)

Hope we are patient with Ogbah, ? translation: Did not want us to give him away...be patient don't take a 6th round offer or something of that nature.
We got a player for player trade so I think that was a good deal for us and our "PATIENCE" paid off.

Excellent Blocker and did it with Attitude. Of course this sort of dampens my hopes that Devalve would win that job. Maybe he still can. I love Orson's blocking skills but no so much in his pass catching skills. no comparison with Devalve in that department.
Good guy to have around. He was very infectious.

jmho Orson's role will be the same as last year. to be that "hybrid" TE/FB. We saw Devalve play a little bit of that towards the end of the year...but I think Charles is the primary for that role. And the guy is an absolute NUT!!! in a good way tho... This puts Devalve in a similar situationa as last year. He cannot afford to miss time in TCr as he did last year. I like Devalve and hope he can get on the field more...Because in most 12 or 22 personnel you expect 1 of those TE's to be a blocker...So having 2 good pass catchers might be something we can exploit. In the end, these 2 MIGHT be in competition with each other for a spot on the team But my guess is that we will carry 4 TE's again...

I don't think Devalve makes the 53 man roster.

I expect Orson to be our FB and to have a big role on special teams. He did a good job of walling off defenders once through the hole, letting Chubb break those big runs.
It's a shame that DeValve can't seem to stay healthy. I love the idea of DeValve, but, if he can't stay on the field again, he'll be hard to hold onto.
Hopefully this is the year he can show us what he's got.

You can't make the club from the tub. I fully expect us to be looking for a TE in the Draft. 9 pounds ... the kids a horse ... ... LOL

I don't know if this is completely accurate, but I do think our run game suffered when Charles got hurt. He's a very good blocker
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I was 9lbs 12oz. and have a younger brother who was 10lbs. 1oz.
My mom had five kids and the smallest one was my sister who was 8lb. 6oz.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

With Orson Here we won't carry a FB. I agree 4 TE on the Roster.
Njoku, Devalve, Harris and Orson.
Don't count Harris out, he is raw talent and a very willing blocker. He doesn't have that weight on the body if I remember correctly. But he is all out.
I think Harris is a definite upgrade on Fells.

From the AAF thread: I knew Gilbert was having success in the AAF. I was thinking he could make a nice backup QB for us.

In terms of Burnett ... meh

Not that it's really that important, but Dorsey was with Green Bay when Burnett was drafted by the Packers.

I made the horrible mistake of re-watching our 2017 game against the Packers to try to check Burnett out. We should not have lost that game. So many chances to put them away. What a difference a year makes. No more clown shows hopefully.
Looked like they mainly used Burnett as a big nickel or dime LB. Solid tackler. Didn't get the greatest look at him as I was struck by the horror/trainwreck of the game and had a hard time focusing.
Hopefully the groin injury from last year is all the way behind him.
Having a vet on D shouldn't hurt regardless and might be useful until a rookie/new starter is ready.

The Cleveland Browns have signed WR Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi. Sheehy-Guiseppi is a rookie out of Phoenix College and measures 5-11, 181 pounds. His collegiate career consisted of a first team NJCAA All-American honor in 2016, leading the nation in kick return yardage (1,278) and kick return touchdowns (four). He also ranked second in the NJCAA in yards per kick return (32.8) and in punt return yards (400). A native of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., the signing marks Sheehy’s first NFL stop. https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/bro...medium=referral

AAF sack leader Jayrone Elliott just tweeted Randall asking for Dorsey's phone number. He's a Cleveland kid, other than that I don't know much about him. 6'3", 255 pass rushing OLB. Might give us some extra rush in sub packages. Need to find some tape.

Meh. Once we signed Richardson any possibility of getting a comp pick from the middling group of FA's we lost was gone.
But agreed, for teams that lost some good players this year to free agency, if they haven't found their new guys by the second wave (now passed), they might as well wait until May's post draft releases.

You ever have those moments when you start thinking of next year's free agency group.
At least for now, we stand to lose a good bit more than this year.
2020 Free Agents: JC Tretter-C; Greg Robinson-LT; Rashard Higgins-WR; Kareem Hunt-RB*; Seth DeValve-TE Joe Scobert-LB; Damarious Randall-S; Eric Murray-S; The entire depth of D-Tackles (Coley; Davis; Price)

This may be as good of an indicator of where we're looking in the Draft as anything. We have a pretty stacked roster, it would not be out of the question to think that our Drafting is now shifting away from what gives immediate impact to what can we groom to step into place next year.

Yes. Lets hope that most on that list never makes it to FA. That and you should always draft this year, with next year in mind.

we'll be drafting an OT and DT at some point IMO
