This is kinda uncomfortable and maybe will come across as a bit weird, but I need some advice about jeans.

I love jeans, but they don't love me. I have the hardest time finding a pair to fit me right.

Here are things I don't like about certain jeans. I despise jean that slide down my butt and that I have to continually pull up. I loathe jeans that are too tight in the crotch. The problem I have had is that the jeans that give me room in the crotch also sag on my ass. The reverse is also true.

My problem is that I have a small butt, large thighs, and hmmm...........need room in the crotch area.

I get that certain folks will use this info to poke fun, but seriously..........do any of you know of a type of jean that will not sag in the rear while providing some room in the crotch?

The best one I found thus far was the Wrangler Comfort Fit or something like that. The problem is that the front pockets are weird. The denim doesen't go deep enough into the pocket and the white parts of the pocket show. I have to wear them w/longer shirts all the time. They do fit nice, though.

Any advice would be appreciated. And jfan and arch..........I already have anticipated your comments, so you can save them. LOL

I quit jeans a while back. I think I didn't wear jeans for 3+ years. I do have one pair now that I might wear once every 2-3 months (normally when I'm behind my washing). I wear Dickies 874 pants or these Levi's stretch chino-like pants. I wear beige, brown, light grey, dark grey, blue and dark blue. So many people wear jeans that I wanted a different "style". I guess I wear the same hoodies, T-shirts and button-ups that everyone else does, but I just stopped wearing jeans.

As for advice, I'd suggest going to Duluth Trading. They're famous for their roomy-stretchy crotch pants. Their actually named "Ballroom jeans".

Oh yeah..........I didn't realize they made jeans. Those underwear commercials are funny. My wife thinks they're distasteful. LOL

Citizens of Humanity and/or 7 for all Mankind jeans. Then have them tailored.

Well worth it. Perfect fit.

They'll last.

Polo jeans. Straight leg of slim fit still leaves room up top, while not giving it the baggy look at the bottom.

Bro, I have two pairs of Polos. I wear one of them a lot, but both sag in the ass too much for me. I get that is the style, but I find it uncomfortable. Damn underwear should not be way above the pant line.

Yeah, I'm old....

Skinny pants make skinny men look like women. they also tend to bag up around the butt and knees. I have no idea why any man would want to look like that. Also, if you gain 2#, forget about wearing them. lol I suspect that in 5 years men will also be wearing yoga pants, like women do. I can't wait (oh wait, yes I can wait) to see 300# men wearing skin tight yoga pants ... just like 250# women do today. +

I wear Wrangler relaxed, ($14) but I do have a butt ..... so they fit well right off the hanger. They may not last forever, but I wear both jeans and dress/casual pants, and I see no real signs of wear on any of my pants. I generally wash my clothes on a gentle cycle, and use a good fabric softener.

There is about 3% of the female population who can wear yoga pants and look good doing so .... unfortunately, far more do so than can pull it off. I saw a woman at the store today who must have had a 50" butt, wearing ... yep .... yoga pants. I thought about asking her when the last time she did yoga was, but I didn't want to be that cruel.

Man, it would be like me and my big old gut wearing bicycle shorts and a spandex muscle shirt. Man, I can envision the epidemic of puking already. crazy rofl

real problems real solutioins, first thought is relaxed fit, but that has the non skinny backside.
there's like a slim, they make slim fit, that's not it,

maybe find an outlet store from the Jeans brand and they'll have a wider selection. Maybe it's Athletic fit, I'd sure recommend a brand outlet store.

Old Navy loose fit jeans. That's all I wear. I don't own a suit, dress pants, or Dockers anymore. Going to a wedding I wear jeans. Funeral... I wear jeans. Church... Jeans again. That's all I wear along with my sneakers.

My fiancee told me over Christmas break in Parma "hey, let's go to Old Navy. You need new jeans." I told her "nah, I'm fine." She insisted, so I said alright.

I never wore a pair from Old Navy ever, and I slid them on. It felt like I put on a pair of sweatpants that fit incredibly well!

Dawgs, the woman is always right.

Similar fit issue due to years of hockey.
I went to strictly the carpenter/work pant. I find that Schmidts from Tractor Supply (come in denim and a few colors) and even Dickies (Wal Mart) fit me well. Comfy and very cheap. Always working in tractors and dirty stuff so the price is right if I trash a pair or two.

Same here, I quit jeans a while back. I'm strictly khaki, cargo and sweats now. The only pair of jeans I have is some off brand I bought at a discount store in Toronto while at a Taekwan-do tournament years ago...because I forgot to pack some pants. They fit like no others. It's also hard to carry concealed with jeans.

I'm tall and thin with long legs. So I have to order by jeans direct from Levi's because stores never carry my size.

I used to do 505's, but switched to the 514's because they are a thinner denim, which is better in Florida heat, and they tend to have more stretch to them when squatting or bending.

What you're looking for is rise, which is the measurement from the crotch to the top of the waistband. Go for high rise jeans, or maybe medium rise in some brands. Avoid low rise.

For fit, probably go with regular? It's hard to say. The combination of small butt with big thighs and wanting more room in the crotch does make this a little tricky. You just have to go to the store and try things on because these things vary from brand to brand, and even sometimes within the same brand. You can always get them tailored.

I assume you know what size you want. (Waist x inseam)

There's also the cut to consider. This refers to the lower legs of the jeans. Skinny gets narrower and hugs the lower leg at the bottom, straight stays the same width, boot cut widens a bit at the cuff.

Wear boot cut jeans if you are fitting your jeans over work boots. Wear skinny jeans if you are a millennial and are actively trying not to get laid. For everyone else, straight cut is fine.

Here me out on this.

2% Spandex.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BNU9R5E/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

$30-$35 on amazon. They are the best jeans ever and I have pairs of $150 jeans (which are excellent BTW) and these jeans feel every bit as good on me.

These are the best, most comfortable jeans I have ever owned and they are cheap. They have 2% spandex, so I can actually do a full squat in them and they don't budge (or sometimes rip like other jeans).

They stretch in the waist, they stretch in the crotch, they stretch in the butt. I literally have like 7 pairs in different colors.

I think you would do well to try Carhartt jeans. They run a little big in size but are well made, sound like the kind of fit you're looking for and run about the same price as a standard pair of Levi jeans. Levi and Carhartt are the only brands of jeans I wear. But as I've gotten older the Carhartt jeans actually fit much better.

I have IBS every day, and anything on my waist hurts my waist. Not horribly, but definitely enough to irritate me. (Most people with IBS have this, as well as daily chronic fatigue.) Since my IBS hit me a few years ago I usually wear Levi jeans with a large waist, even though I'm skinny, and wear a stretch belt to hold 'em up. I have other brand jeans too, but don't like them. Levi's are for me.

Stretch belts are awesome:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YBBCOMG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm getting off topic but my fav post on the IBS board I frequent:

'No Pressure On Waist - Can't Wear Pants!'

https://www.ibsgroup.org/forums/topic/87108-no-pressure-on-waist-cant-wear-pants/

P.S. As for needing more room in the crotch area? Well, some of us aren't that lucky, Vers! laugh

Don't sleep on the spandex!

I buy Silver Jeans, almost exclusively now. List price around $100, frequent half price sales in the store and online. Tried them on at a Men's Wearhouse and thought right away they were the most comfortable and best fitting jeans.

Sales clerk talked me into trying the pair with spandex, seemed a little weird at first (and they're much higher than 2%), but they're about my favorite jeans now. Ridiculously comfortable. Can't stand not having room in the crotch and hate when they sag... Silver Jeans have two extra belt loops in the back, which helps, and they just seem to fit me better. I'm 5'9" / 185lbs good build with a little bit of a belly. I'm not sure what other retailers sell them but they're worth checking out. Great style that says "hip" without being pretentious or "hipster".
