The government take over of student loans was in the bill. This article even stated that. Reading is fundamental.

Yes the Govt took over student loans. Yes it was included in the legislation of the ACA. But saying "obummercare took over student loans." is not correct in any way shape or form.

"Obamacare" does not run the Student Loan program .... the Fed Govt does. It came into law on the back of the legislation that was passed for ACA .... but to say Obamacare 'took over student loans' which implies it runs Student Loans in inaccurate. If Trump ever actually repeals ACA - the Student Loan program won't stop being run by the Gvt.

That is correct ... but legislation would be put in place to keep running the student loans. The two things - Obamacare and Student Loans - are not one and the same thing and one does not run the other.

It cracks me up to read how people have no clue how bills actually works in government.

There's no such thing as a "clean bill". A bill starts out as a certain thing. It then goes through congress and the senate and all along the way the bill has things added to it and changes.

It's a gotchya moment used by both sides. Usually when a congressman or senator votes for or against a bill they have to weigh the pros and cons of a bill because it has been changed so much from its beginning, so much has been added, that its original intent is only one element of an overall bill.

That's exactly what this is and isn't some gotchya moment.

And only on this board have I heard about overturning the entire bill that included Obamacare. I have heard of overturning Obamacare, but not the entire bill it was written in. Only on Dawgtalkers do people reach so far they throw their own shoulders out of joint from doing so.
