I will be missing this game as well. Fricken have to hang instruments for a show this weekend.

I was able to get them to move their trend for Sunday work calls to Saturdays except for this one because someone else is in the space until tomorrow night.

By the way....this is chicagodawgfan's girlfriend. He is being a 'tard, so to speak. I swear, on EVERYTHING HOLY, that I don't care. I never did. I would RATHER have him stay home and watch the game, then stare at me with puppy dogs eyes....like he is telepathically trying to convince me to go home. There is no "girl speak" in my book. I pretty much tell it like it is. So, everyone...rest ASSURED....chicagodawgfan will NOT have to watch the game on DVR. It's not the same....period.

With that...I bid you all ado. Have fun and be safe on Sunday!

Dear Chicago's girlfriend:

I would have made him go to the party.

Just kidding.

Now, Chicago....you are going to the party right, since your girl graciously agreed that you don't have to?

When I told her the Browns open and theres no way she moved it to next Sunday :buzzer noise: Sorry, Bengals game. hehe, so now it's the 23rd from 11-1
She wasn't mad but kinda like "Ohhh God your friken obsessed

How long of a drive is it from Chicago? I know when I was at Great Lakes it was a nice short flight but I never drove it.

Watching it though out of state is still pretty sweet. The opener is important,,6 months of waiting for it,,. hehe, my wife went into labor in 2004 during the Rats opener and she waited till halftime so at least we could see the first half,,now THATS a good wife, g/f, ect

I live NW of downtown Chicago (about 45 minutes) - it takes me about 5 1/2 hours to drive to Westlake. I lose an hour as well, which sucks. Coming back, its nice to gain it.

In the past, I would typically stay until halftime or the end of the 3rd quarter (depending on how the game was going), then listen to the rest on radio as I hit the road.

Flying is cake - up and down - only an hour.

Chicago, sounds like your girlfriend "gets it".

I have said it before and I will say it again, My wife is one of the greatest......she planned our family vacation to disney world during the Browns bye week!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is a good woman and she has been "converted", she is almost as bad as me when it comes to scheduling things around the Browns, whenever someone asks if we can do something during football season, she checks the schedule first.

Good women are hard to find........so when you find one, make sure to keep them.

( and yes, she wears the panties, oops, I mean pants, )

Got married Sept. 30 last year. Missed the Raiders game the next day, 1st I missed in three years. Problem is, our 1st anniversary is the Baltimore game, and while I think I'm good to watch it, my Sunday will be altered because I have to stay sober and take wife to dinner. Should be good after this year until around 2012, though.

An annual minor problem is the wife's B-day is Sept. 10 and because of work skeds, we have a little cake/ice cream deal for the families for her on the Sunday around it. I tell everyone they don't have to leave at kickoff, but the convo will be kept to a minimum. They think I'm a bit too obssessed with football, but they deal with it because that's the way it is. Wife knew that not long after we met.

Fortunately, most everyone who comes to these things likes them about as much as I do and so they clear out in plenty of time. We do these damn things to make her mother happy.

The wife is a bit of an introvert and doesn't really like these things usually. Thankfully, while Lisa doesn't like football much she enjoys watching the Browns with me because I make an ass of myself.
