Yet in your signature you're quoting a Republican. Quite a dichotomy.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

They have some gems every now and then.

Operative word CBS

freaking hate this crap. our cars have to be road worthy, but government won't make sure our roads are car worthy.

The raise in the gas tax is one of the few tax increases i am far AS LONG AS the money does go to repairs and up keep on our roads and bridge.

id be fine with the tax hike if i actually TRUSTED the people in charge to at least be somewhat competent.

they are not.

You do know the State gets 55 percent of the tax increase and Local government gets the other 45 percent. So do you not trust your local government either?

they are gonna raise the tax despite what we ALL know to be true: it still won't help. because whoever is overseeing the budget will just screw it up again.

My guess is they aren't raising taxes because they think it will allow them to "fix" things, it will just allow them to not fall farther behind.

If they sent in a proposal of what it would cost to actually fix everything and wanted to raise taxes by that amount, all of Ohio and each city and town would simultaneously crap themselves.

If the poll or report came from a mainstream media source you have to take it with a grain of salt.

-I want a link to the poll
-Who conducted it
-Between what timeframe
-What was the sample size
-Where was the sample size
-What age groups were in the poll
-What was the error rate percentage

You can just say organization ABCDEF had a poll that showed X. Heck I could do that in my backyard on a Sunday afternoon and then post it to the board if you're interested.

Before raising any taxes on anything I want them to show the public the budget for the past 5 years and how they've spent what they've been working with in the first place.

Specifically for the gas tax raise, I think its a bunch of hogwash mostly. Columbus OH always has construction going on constantly and there's no end state. Takes longer to complete than to build an entire building or skyscraper.
