I could tell you but you will deny it, we've already been that route many times. But just for arguments sake, I'll say reality.

Here we go:

Do you think the MeToo movement is a bad thing?

Do you think victims should be heard and believed (at least at first) until the facts come out?

Do you think women have too much power?

Are you afraid of women?

I have a disconnect from reality because College students are suing and winning, do I have that right?

I guess you can sue if you have a case, but I didn't know you were a college student or that you were falsely accused. I guess now we are getting to the underlying issue you have with women.

I think you love to post extremely controversial subjects that fly in the face of what seems to be popular among those on the other side of politics. You like to show the flip side of the popular issues of the day.

No strawman in my argument. My original post questioned the reason for another incel-ish anti-victim anti-#MeToo post. Those questions were a continuation of that line of inquiry.

I don't have an issue with Bpg. We don't always agree with each other but we have the ability to have a civil debate on issues.

What I have an issue with are demagogue who just regurgitate the latest saying of the day without substance or logic. Someone who takes everything as fact when spoken from the face of a proven liar. People who lack the ability to think for themselves and look into a subject rather than repeat what they're spoon fed.

That's why I can debate a topic with Bpg but not so much with certain other posters.

Yes. They can destroy a man's reputation with a single claim.. even if that claim ends up being baseless, some of the damage done to the man's reputation can't be undone.


No, because I'm 52 and married.. if I was in college on the dating scene, I would be far more concerned today than I was back in the late 80s... back then if a guy and girl got drunk and hooked up you just both owned the seediness of the whole thing.. it didn't automatically make him a rapist and her a victim...

I agree to the extent that we should take the allegations seriously but verify or investigate. I don't think an innocent man should be ruined by the process, but I don't think women should be ignored in these situations or made out as liars until the truth is uncovered.




Yet a man can destroy a woman in many ways and much easier. So there is that to consider too. Slutshaming, attacks on her looks, attacks on her intelligence, physical assault, sexual assault, etc. Men hold the upperhand in all of these because our society historically accepted it. MeToo is trying to change that and I agree it needs to change.




Many our age would be destroyed or go to jail for crap that was acceptable in the 80s. I never raped or assaulted anyone, but I wouldn't want my actions back then under today's microscope.

For rich and powerful men who did whatever they wanted it's a nightmare, but we also can't have the Cosby/Ailes types getting away with it any more.

Due Process has always been our Right.

and Due process is happening and Colleges are losing for not following due process. That was the point of this article, not debating the merits of MeToo.

I'm not 100% sure how this would work.. but the law doesn't release the name of rape victim without their consent if I'm not mistaken... I wonder if a similar law could withhold the name of the accused at least until such time as they pressed charges or moved forward with the case.. at least that way, those who are determined to have been just falsely accused could be spared the public humiliation.


As far as the attacks on looks, slutshaming, etc... those things can work both ways but I will say this, having watched 2 kids go through high school. The slut shaming, looks shaming, intelligence shaming, whatever the case may be that boys inflict on girls, pales in comparison to what girls do to each other.

In case you've missed it, the guys are called studs while the women are called sluts. One wears a badge of honor while one bears the badge of shame.

#MeToo movement leaves male managers uncomfortable mentoring women, study claims

Amid the ongoing #MeToo movement, a new study claims that 60 percent of male managers feel uncomfortable having an interaction with women at the workplace.

The joint study Opens a New Window. by LeanIn.Org and Survey Monkey asked 5,000 people if they feel safe at their workplace and discovered that men are “more hesitant to work one-on-one with women than ever.” Men said they're afraid of being labeled as a harasser at work.

60 percent of male managers say they are uncomfortable mentoring, socializing or having one-on-one chats with women. That number is 14 points higher than last year, the survey noted.

48 percent of male managers say they are uncomfortable interacting with women outside of work, up from 34 percent last year.

Colleges shouldn't even have a say in the matter. If a student is sexually assaulted, molested, or whatever it should be taken to the police immediately and tried under the full extent of the law.

While I am 100% for punishing those who rape others in the most severe way possible, I also believe that it needs to be proved beyond a shadow of a doubt just like the law says.

Mmmmmm hmmm. You do realize that's not even the legal standard to establish guilt, right?

To establish guilt you need to prove it, "beyond a reasonable doubt". Unless you think they should create some special category for the crime of rape.
