Would you let your child act like trump? Would you call out his lies? Would you allow your grown ‘child’ to act like this without calling out the behavior for what it is?

I think you're right. But then again none of us are president. Nobody voted for us as president and the president should be held to a much higher standard than a bunch petulant children on a message board.

If you are an adult then you are responsible for your own behavior. I don't hold anybody (regardless of title, wealth, or influence) to a higher standard than I am willing to hold for myself when it comes to behavior.

I don't feel I'm deserving of the office of president. I don't feel anyone on this board is either. I don't see using barbs on a message board as a sign of ones overall behavior. It's nothing more than exchanging barbs back and forth between political rivals. And yes, if a president doesn't act better than a bunch of people spreading smack on a message board, Houston we have a problem.

I still believe the average poster on this board isn't as insulting as Trump or we would have a permanent ban by now. I mean name calling is against the rules.

So since I'm doing better than the president, I think you have bigger fish to fry.

Pretty much anything used against you to degrade, defame, or somehow lower your worth to another is a form of attack. It's a mainstay of politics.

But attack can mean anything from a military assault, to punching somebody in the nose, to making fun of somebody's hair... but I think you know that already.

Most of the time when I use the term in here it's over a hit piece of some kind.
