That just doesn't line up with my observations. I certainly support the Dems run a centrist candidate though. I personally don't think a centrist moderate dem will beat Trump. I think he will destroy Biden and Pete. Not that they are bad candidates, but he will feed red meat to the howlers and defame the hell out of them.

That's his MO. He'll do that no matter who he runs against. Hell, he did that to members of his own party.

I 100% agree with securing the border or increasing funding to do so. I do not and never will agree with building a wall. I thought the fence we built was stupid and a waste of money. WOOHOO it's been a while but we agree again

Bernie rocks! <- just returning to the thread topic!
I bet President Bernie won't be investigated for collusion or a history of fraud. Yet he and his wife were regarding falsified loans to her school... https://www.cbsnews.com/news/bernie-and-...d-hire-lawyers/

But when we have a system that allows multi billion dollar corporations with healthy profit margins to not only avoid paying income taxes, but also use their wealth and power to extort local governments to avoid paying sometimes even millions upon millions of dollars in state and local taxes, there's something terribly wrong with that system. Where are most of these giant corporations located? Mainstay cities, no? Who typically runs cities, politically? The left. So, the left, who rallies against giving big business these tax breaks, are lining up to give these corporations tax breaks, and are doing so. Do as I say not as I do I guess.

The topic is cities were corporations have their business and HQ's. Those are most major metropolitan cities, are they not? My statement rings true. My bad, missed the HQs part. But the rest of your assumptions still fall well short of being factfull. You are having a defend/justify my vote moment I think. But I understand. That happens to good people when they realize they helped screw the country.

That happens to good people when they realize they helped screw the country. Not at all. I don't need to defend or justify my vote. I am pointing out the FACT that the left rallies against giving big business tax breaks. You know they do, if you deny that - then, well....we know what that says about you. So they rallie against giving companies tax breaks, yet its DEM controlled major cities where these corporations are operating, who are giving them the tax breaks to come there. Peduto here in Pittsburgh SCREAMS about inequality and tax breaks for the rich and corporations, yet UPMC hasn't paid taxes in YEARS, and he offered BILLIONS to Amazon to come here. https://www.wpxi.com/news/top-stories/wh...ealed/873326976"Gov Tom Wolf's administration revealed Tuesday that it made an offer valued at up to $4.6 billion over 25 years in taxpayer-paidincentives to Amazon." But this is apples and oranges. Tax incentive to locate your HQ in one place or another is not equal to raking in billions in profits and paying ZERO income tax.

But you saying "they rake in billions of profits and pay 0 taxes" but its the dems over and over again giving and offering them the billions. lol. Sorry man, you sound like your trying to scramble and make an excuse for your party. BOTH sides want the business there, and BOTH sides don't care if they pay taxes or not. Whats worse, giving them a TAX BREAK or LOWER TAX incentive, or literally giving them TAX PAYER funded incentives? To me, that's the same thing my man. At least the right doesn't hide it -

That happens to good people when they realize they helped screw the country. Well see, the headquaters are where a corporations high paying jobs are. Most of the lower level, lower paying jobs get their tax breaks from smaller, more often Republican ran communities. Since willit seems to wish to make a bad system a political game here.

I said it was the system that has been set up this way. That system has existed through both Republicans and Democrats. The SYSTEM you speak of is to attract jobs to cities. You give the GIANTS tax breaks because of the volume of jobs and pay scale those jobs will bring to that city. Along with the spin off to the local economy. It's business sense not politics. John D Rockefeller said,'I'd rather make 1% off of 100 than 100% off of 1' ...that's the system for giving corps large tax breaks

If tax abatements were illegal, the jobs would still go somewhere. Amazon can't give two day delivery by building fulfillment centers in China.
What you're talking about is cities bidding against each other to see who will give these corporations the most corporate welfare.

Bernie is also part of the 1%. Hardly. He's recently a millionaire, yes. He's also stayed true to his values and fought for the little guy his whole life. But feel free to spread your Trumpian propaganda comrade.

Now he is, but are you saying a man can't write a best seller and make money? Is that a bad thing? and you know what he hasn't done? He hasn't abandoned his beliefs just because he's suddenly got some money for the first time in his life..

I'd love to see the actual quote and context of what he said rather than some vague tweet that tells us nothing.

Bernie is also part of the 1%. And as such is actually running on the premise that he himself pay more taxes. That's called practicing what you preach.

I have read many of your posts and pardon the hell out of me but for me its about ideas that I think will make my life better.
At the end of the day everyone gets to decide for themselves as it should be. For me its about what will help ME and my family the most, and who will fight tooth and nail for ME.
I think that is what will carry this election or I hope and pray it does.
I don't see the old guard Left as being my friend, sorry I just don't want to go back to what it was, I want better, don't you?

sounds like a great quote on twitter. in real life practice, its stupid.
what if whats better for you is completely terrible for every one else?
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

It was in the article...and he's 100% correct. “I think the sense of anger and disaffection that comes from seeing that the numbers are fine, like unemployment’s low, like all that, like you said GDP is growing and yet a lot of neighborhoods and families are living like this recovery never even happened. They’re stuck,” Buttigieg told high school students in in Nashua, N.H.
“It just kind of turns you against the system in general and then you’re more likely to want to vote to blow up the system, which could lead you to somebody like Bernie and it could lead you to somebody like Trump. That’s how we got where we are.”
