With the amount of Press man we played last season, which I would think we will continue, Greedy Williams should be someone we keep an eye on. That was last year ... We will play a lot more zone coverage this season. Murphy is probably not an option for 49, but Lane or Love could be good fits for us too ... or we might go OL, Safety or perhaps another position. Just had this conversation on Twitter. Are we really going to let Wilkes come in here and tell Denzel Ward to stop being what he has been his entire career (a press man corner)? That would be infuriating, Belicheck would never mess with success like that.

I don’t think Layne fits a zone scheme in the same way Williams may not but I think Williams has the fluidity to do so if he wanted to. Love would be a good fit. Lane has some good tape in zone coverage, its just that his length (arms) make him and Williams good fits in man on man. Being a converted WR he is still a raw talent at CB, but he already has better ball skills than some other rookie CBs'.

The idea that we have to run a zone because Wilkes ran zone, is asinine. Denzel Ward is and has been a press man corner his entire career.
Not that he can't do it, but why mess with success?

I think that we will still play some press man, but Wards talent also lends itself to zone coverage's, where he can use his closing speed and ball skills.

No love for Mack Wilson? Odd...I've seen several plays when I only think a DB could make such an athletic play, and Mack Wilson is doing it...I know he's rawer than some think and is inconsistent...I pray we can land him, and kind of glad people are under on him. Would be interesting if we landed in 3rd with Kirksey announcing pick

No veteran players were traded yesterday. Veterans usually aren’t traded during the draft. Those hoping for a few extra picks or a move up because of a veteran being traded are misguided.

I know in a draft thread way back...I mentioned that I would love to get Ford at 49 and I was quickly spanked on that unrealistic WANT...I actually agreed as the Big Board of the site I like to use also stated he was #18 on the overall board...Well here it is and its pick #33.
He is still available.
I would love for us to move up and get him.
He would be an upgrade on Zeitler, I see Corbett as a possible upgrade on Tretter.
I see Bitonio, Corbett and Ford as becoming one of the youngest best Interio OL in the NFL. Mobile also for a stretching offense of the likes we are building.
We got the QB, WRs, RBs TEs...Build the OL to take it to another LEVEL!!!
