"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
My favorite pick I am in love with this guy...he has made plays that resemble that of a safety...he is inconsistent and raw at times...but I am beyond thrilled!!!
This one I like a lot almost as much as Greedy ...

Yeah I thought he was a 2nd round pick all day...he must have been had an issue somewhere (I knew there was that combine interview blurb) I know he has some growing up to do...but by far the 3rd best ILB and he can play outside as well
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne

If we grabbed mack Wilson at 80 than sione now in the 5th...on paper would be more sense...obviously Wilson fell, and I wanted him badly...and beyond thrilled
Lyndell “Mack” Wilson came to Alabama as a 5-star linebacker out of Carver-Montgomery, AL and found favor right away. Oddly enough, Wilson’s first highlight was as a receiver catching a one yard touchdown pass against Kent State as a true freshman. It would notbe his last score but it would be the least memorable. He played in all 15 games as a freshman, making several big plays on special teams. In 2017, he led the team with four interceptions, including a memorable against Clemson in the playoffs that he returned for a touchdown.
As a junior, Wilson assumed a starter roll in the middle. And though he struggled with assignments at times, he is a high-calibre player who likes to hit. Some Crimson Tide fans are upset with his decision to leave early but he gave Alabama all he had and made plenty of special plays. It could be said that Wilson was playing out of position as the Mike linebacker, but he was by far the best option for the Tide. If he had played Will or Sam, we’d probably be talking about how he will be remembered as one of the greats at that position.
In Wilson, the Browns get a versatile linebacker who is very smooth in zone coverage and athletic enough to play all three downs in the pros. It is doubtful Cleveland will employ him in the middle but they have an athlete who they can mold to their needs. I seem him as a Mark Barron type who will be asked to do more in pass coverage and be a run stopper.

Mack Wilson isn't very good. But eh, whatever. 5th rounder

Why so? I have seen a lot of Bama football living here in SEC country. He looked pretty good to me. I mean, you don't start at Bama under Saben if you aren't good.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
PFF grades are skewed at times...there is truth behind a lot of it, but not all of it.
See Sheldon Browns PFF grade the last year he was here...he was a top 16 CB according to him...though older, noone offered him a contract and he retired

Bad tackler, mediocre athlete. He's a good coverage guy, but I doubt he ever becomes anything more than that.
Can I help you with something? He didn't produce, he didn't test, he's standing on his weak numbers from college.
He's, at best, depth.
Well you seem to be the only one here who thinks its a bad pick ???

Metrics are metrics. They assist scouting and common sense.
If you simply go my the metrics, that doesn't work.
If you simply go by scouting, you are behind the ball and going to miss out.
If you don't use common sense, neither is going to do you any good.
I agree he was old...But according to PFF he was fantastic...By their numbers and rankings, you would imagine if he was that great someone would have still lent him a veterans deal for a year...But he was offered nothing, leading me to believe the numbers lied.

Numbers never lie. The problem with age is people doubt you can do it again. Everybody hits a wall. I am not saying he would have, but the metrics of age and performance have been in place a long time.

I can agree on that, though I admit it is less seldom some DBs can still perform at an older age...But he was getting pretty old.
