Has anyone been watching this series where Joe Thomas talks about some of his toughest matchups? It is utterly fascinating. You can tell why he's a first-ballot HOFer with how much detail he knows.

Having never played organized football at any kind of high level, I'm always interested in the guys who really know the X's and O's.

Here's the latest one where he talks about Dwight Freeney.

I've been watching. Joe has a brilliant mind. I think he is really great at analyzing football, but you can tell he is very quick-witted and extremely intelligent in many other areas.

He and Andrew Hawkins have a podcast out called 'The ThomaHawk Show.'

They are both very bright, knowledgeable and entertaining.

I think that Joe Thomas could have a role on almost anything football related. He has a wacky sense of humor, that could work for or against him, but his knowledge of the game is truly impressive.

I think it's Peyton Manning or bust. If they don't get Manning I think they'll just run it back with Tessitore and Booger.

Do you think they might hook him up with us for special games? I would much love to see him paired with Bernie for example. Joe talks, you oughtta listen. Quite a technician.

I don’t know what his contract is like, but Joe Thomas has been working exclusively for NFL Network.

Once Manning turned them down for MNF the best plan was to just push everything back and year and try again next year when Romo is available.

blah that's not a good team

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

NFL announced @joethomas73 has joined NFL Network and will be part of its on-location pregame and postgame shows for its "Thursday Night Football" games during the 2019 season. He'll also appear on coverage of Super Bowl LIV, Combine and Draft, plus various NFL Network programs.

I think a lot of us had a pretty good idea that media would be the next part of his professional journey. Congrats to him!

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

He certainly seems to be a natural in front of the camera.

Good luck Joe!

Who is Tony Rizzo?

He's the dorky white guy in the middle who looks like he should be in a bad sitcom set in the midwest playing the neighbor who is an auto mechanic.

Thought you were joking. He's the resident know-it-all on WKNR 850. I don't mind the guy, but he's one of those that refuses to see an opposing viewpoint once he opens his mouth and spits his "gospel".

You would think this would humble Rizzo, but he comes across to me as a mob thug, so I don't know. Enjoy that humble pie Tony.

He sounds threatened by a guy who was twice the athlete he ever dreamed of being and will now likely be a better media personality too....

What's a Rizzo? Man made into what exactly? Moronic trying to belittle a true great like JT.

Truly stupid. He needs JT to insult more than Joe needs what's his name. Lame. thumbsdown

To be fair, that tweet was from about 14 months ago. Since then, Rizzo and Joe must have made peace because Joe appears on Rizzo's "Really Big Show" every week for a 20-30 minute appearance. That said, Rizzo can be a big-time phony, and his sidekick, Aaron Goldhammer, is a major league douchebag. The show is barely listenable, but sometimes there's just nothing else on.

Great for JT!

I suppose it's partly because he's a beloved Brown, and one of my favourites ever, but I think he's really good on TV.

Don't change, Joe! Don't let them try to 'polish' you...

strange take by Rizzo, but he's a clown. I personally think JT is way more than a token ex-player-turned-analyst .... I think he's good

I’ll be covering the @Browns in their first Super Bowl this year in Miami. It’ll be *almost as good as if I could of played in the super bowl with the Browns!

I think it would be a class move by the Browns if they sign him to a 1 day contract to qualify him for a spot on the championship roster, and get a ring. That is, of course, if it comes to pass.
