Covington Catholic High student's lawyer says lawsuit is 'message' for 'weaponized' Washington Post
"...weaponized Washington post?"
The lawyer representing student Nicholas Sandmann, spoke to Todd Starnes about a lawsuit filed Tuesday that “seeks significant damages” from The Post for allegedly targeting his client “just so the media could make the point it wanted to make.”
The lawsuit accuses The Post of "using its vast financial resources to enter the bully pulpit by publishing a series of false and defamatory print and online articles ... to smear a young boy who was in its view an acceptable casualty in their war against the president."
“What we hope to accomplish with the lawsuit obviously is to obtain a large verdict, and the reason we want to obtain a large verdict is so that things that things like the things that happened to Nick did not happen to others.”
Sorry, I didn't understand the syntax. The "weaponized Washington Post" paints a very different picture in the minds of those who can write and read intelligently.
I was responding to the construction of your attempt at a coherent sentence.
I haven't even read any of the articles in this thread and don't know what it's really about. I just thought your the syntax of your sentence was hilarious.
I hope they win, they will likely settle for far less, but these news organizations need to figure out that first isn't best anymore with all of these hoaxes.
There was always suspicion that this stuff was going on but naturally no one in leftist media was going to follow up on it.....then probably around the time that the "I hate black people" tattoo kidnapping came about, people started paying a lot more attention.
Andy Ngo has been keeping a full thread of hoaxes recently.

Going to be interesting to see how it plays out though.. CNN probably has people up 24/7 going back through all articles and social media posts hoping like hell they used nuanced words like "allegedly" in all of them....
CNN will likely end up settling in some "undisclosed" agreement with a nondisclosure clause... or else they have to watch all of their premature conclusion jumping paraded in public for months..

Meh, 99% of their audience thinks the kid was an ass that day rather or not he meant to be. All this will do is help their ratings. Kind of poetic justice that going off about Trump's maga hatted teens actions, then being sued will probably get them a lot more good PR then bad.
AP, HBO, NBC could be next outlets sued over coverage of Covington Catholic student: co-counsel
“Our plan is to come out with an additional lawsuit every few weeks or months. We have to issue opportunities for these news organizations to provide retractions,” McMurtry told the "Todd Starnes Radio Show." "But right now we're looking very carefully at NBC, AP, HBO. And again, HBO is primarily because they carry Bill Maher's disgusting comments about Nicholas Sandmann. So those probably are the next three defendants."

Wow, these networks picked on the wrong kid and family.
Covington Catholic teen Nick Sandmann sues NBC for $275 million
By Valerie Richardson - The Washington Times -
May 1, 2019
Attorneys for Nicholas Sandmann filed a $275 million lawsuit Wednesday against NBCUniversal over its coverage of the Kentucky teen, accusing the network of creating a “false narrative” driven by its “anti-Trump agenda.”
I think it's sad that the big story out of this is "teenager feels threatened by Native American praying through song" rather than "why are Native Americans upset?"

Well the one they support throws tantrums, calls names like a three year old, and starts lawsuits simply to circumvent the law. What else can you expect from them?
