EVERYONE should watch.
Younger fans might get a grasp what this city will be like if we get there again.
TONIGHT. 8:00pm. Back to back.

Watched these a couple times when they were on ESPN Classic... will never forget my son, who was young at the time...

I watched The Drive game a few years ago on NFL Network. I wasn't a Browns fans when that game took place - that would happen halfway through the fumble game, and I haven't stopped being a Browns fan.
No regrets.
But rather than watching the Fumble game, I think I would rather punch myself in the nuts tonight,

And after that, watch "Red Right 88" on youtube.
That should get the tee-totalers drinking again.

Watching 86 game now I was 30 years old ... Man we were very good and should have won the SB that year and the next ...

We certainly would have made the Super Bowl more entertaining than Denver did in any of those Super Bowls....
I think Denver is happy they won the AFC Championship games in unique fashion, because no one really remembers they were blown out in all 3 games, they just remember the Drive and the Fumble.

The Giants would have been a "DAWG FIGHT" but I don't think the Redskins would have been much trouble, Williams would not have been able to throw over the top of our D like he did Denver's ... JMHO

Denver was outscored 136-40 in the 3 Super Bowls they were in where they beat us. That is downright putrid. The 1999 Browns wouldn't have lost that bad.

I didn't watch. The first time was plenty. Me too. Other than the blow-out. (Jan 1990), the Browns played so well for 95% of the games. No fun watching great team efforts knowing a loss is the reward.

ESPN used to love running that stuff. I can still remember their 'Five reasons you can't blame Earnest Byner for the fumble'.
I'm not usually envious of zoomers (gen z), but not having to see ESPN Classic playing those games and the Shot every other night, seems like a pretty good way to grow up.

IF we end up becoming a playoff team one year soon get used to these highlights a ton IMO ... acting as precursors to every big game
As for the games themselves, I wasn't born yet ... I enjoy watching them because it at least gives me a look at what it was like to actually be relevant. I can only dream
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Back in the 80's, being "relevant" meant having your onions kicked up into your chest cavity every couple years for Browns' fans. The seasons were fun, but post-seasons were brutal.

Those are hard to watch. I nearly cried when Brennan caught that TD from Kosar thinking the Super Bowl was coming but my first thought was really we scored too soon. I called my brother in Chicago right after the TD and started barking on the phone.
I chose to watch YOUTUBE team highlight but I also like the 1979 Browns Cowboys Monday night game. They have the first quarter and the Browns go up 20-0. It is interesting when Cosell mentioned the Browns are one of the NFL's storied franchises. Had the most wins in the 50s and 60s.

We might have our QB, a guy who can take us to the promised land.
We need someone to chase those bad memories. Baker gives us that chance.

no doubt that was true too Dave
