I mentioned this as a passing note on the GoT thread and Eve picked up on it right away so I might as well make it official. this coming Saturday morning, my GF of the past couple years and I will be traveling to Grand Cayman Island for a vacay. Two of my sisters have condos there and they invited us for a stay. I thought about things and I did the bent knee thing, she said Yes!
Since we are going to what amounts to a honeymoon place we looked into doing the wedding in GCI.. turns out it's affordable and has a reasonable level of paperwork.. we contacted the local magistrate type and she's agreed to perform the wedding.. legal in USA and all that.
So.. we are getting married next Wednesday about happy hour time in South Sound GCI on Surfers Beach. My big decision will be whether or not I'll be barefoot lol.

Congratulations.  I tan well, I don’t burn and I never use sunscreen. I went to Jamica, no problem, Domincan Republic, and Hawaii no issues. One round of golf in GCI and I looked like a Cheeto, quick fried to a crackly crunch. Take plenty of sunscreen, that island is brutal.

Congrats and don't go barefoot. Too many stinging insects and that sand gets hella hot. If you take your shoes off make sure you shake them out first because scorpions seem to like crawling into them. Wear lots of the strongest level sunscreen because it's rough man. Sun hats are a great help for saving your face and neck too.
I also recommend that you don't drink icy cold drinks either because the extreme temperature difference can cause your bowels to get irritable and want to evacuate suddenly at the worst times. Arizona heat can be a monster if you don't prepare well. It's dessert though so it also gets cold at night so make sure you pack a sweater or light jacket.
Also you might want to rent or buy a panoramic lens for your camera. The views down there can be amazing =)
