Do you call caterpillars butterflies?
And in what world is fetus a cute name? YOURS The name is ugly in every sense, not in the subliminal nor the form. Now answer the question. Are caterpillars butterflies?

Let's not get emotionally attached to a clump of non-viable cells and call them 'a baby' or 'a human being' Have fun telling that to the millions of mothers who have given birth, to those "cells" Have fun telling that to the millions of mothers who grieved and still grieve for the babies who died in a miscarriage. Tragic indeed for those that truly wanted children. You’re putting that same desire for mothering on those that don’t want the gig. Oh and the ‘heartbeat’ at 6 weeks thing is also nonsense. It’s not a heart. The heart doesn’t form until much later in gestation. It’s a barely detectable electrical output within a cell clump. “At six weeks, the embryo is forming what will eventually develop into mature systems. There’s an immature neurological system, and there’s a very immature cardiovascular system,” says Jennifer Kerns, an ob-gyn at UC San Francisco and director of research in obstetrics and gynecology at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. The rhythm specified in the six-week abortion bans, she says, “is a group of cells with electrical activity. That’s what the heartbeat is at that stage of gestation … We are in no way talking about any kind of cardiovascular system.” The researchers described it as a “tiny blinking, flashing, and/or rocking echo with a regular rhythm,” which is how scientists say something has a good beat and you can dance to it. “What’s really happening at that point is that our ultrasound technology has gotten good enough to be able to detect electrical activity in a rudimentary group of cells,” Horvath says. Sadly the worst part of this is that Alabama decided to treat women as property of the state. ie.... While it's illegal in Alabama, even if you leave the state to obtain an abortion in a state where it is legal, you can still be convicted of committing a crime if you return to Alabama.
They know this will go to court and their hope is it will work its way to the SCOTUS. This is a law they actually created go through the legal process. It was actually created for that very purpose. To get to the SCOTUS in an attempt to overturn Roe v Wade.

Just like everything in America these days, they have taken it to extremes. The Right bans Abortion. The Left kills living children after birth. Time for the Courts to decide the issue.

No, they do not kill living children after birth. Just another lie from your orange God. But I am against late term abortions.

At six weeks a fetus is about the size of a sweet pea. You are not showing what a fetus looks like at six weeks. It also has a tail at that point. But hey, it's a human because??? Because.... science?

Closing your eyes to the truth, again, does not change the fact that Doctors have admitted they do. They also admitted to allowing them to die of exposure on the table. Virginia's Governor, Democrat, is one of them. "[Third trimester abortions are] done in cases where there may be severe deformities. There may be a fetus that's nonviable. So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen," Northam, a pediatric neurosurgeon, told Washington radio station WTOP. "The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother."https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/31/politics/ralph-northam-third-trimester-abortion/index.html

No. More FACTS you can't allow yourself to see. Why do men like you have the right to decide what a woman can or can not do with her body? Let her choose. Let him choose too. If she decides to have the baby and he doesn't want anything to do with it, he should be able to walk away without having to pay for the next 18 years. I have no issues with that because many kids/women are better off without the deadbeat dads being in their lives. All I will say is that if he contributes his genetic material, making conception a possible outcome, then financial responsibility should be the price until our society allows those without financial resources to survive and thrive on their own as children. If you as a man don't want to pay after the fact, then you should have a contractual relationship where you pay up front for what you receive or are named a donor participant with no further rights to the consequences. Either way you should pay to play because she has no other option. You don't need any kind of contractual relationship and there is no "pay to play". Two people have consensual sex and she gets pregnant... At whatever point she has to make the decision to abort or not based on law, he has that same time period to opt out or not. If he wants to opt out, he can hand over half the cost of an abortion and should have no more responsibility to that woman or that child... if he doesn't opt out, then he is responsible until the child is 18... if he opts in and she decides to put the baby up for adoption and he wants it, he should get it.... **legal language, disclaimers, blahblahblah***.. end of contractual relationship.

Yet you support wars. How about the Death penalty? I know, no discussion just a four word repeat of the same old BS.
So I imagine you support healthcare for all to take care of these babies after they're born? Or are you just pro birth and not really pro life?

Cute..
I see all the time that men shouldn't be involved in making abortion laws, which is a stupid argument... but for the sake of discussion, then how should it be done?
Should we have an all female panel whose only purpose is to make abortion laws? And those actually elected to make laws just have to live with it? Would these women be elected? appointed? If so, by whom? How do we make sure that all beliefs, ages, races, etc are represented on this hypothetical panel?
Do we stop at abortion? Why not make it all women's health issues? Why stop at health, maybe this panel of women can also make laws on the gender pay gap and other issues "that only affect women"?

DC, take your phone, and then record yourself telling a woman that a legislative body filled with a majority of men should be perfectly fine to tell a woman what she can or can’t do with her own body.
Can’t wait to see the results.

As long as the Republican party is willing to continue to fully fund the health and future education of these "forced births" that would be fine. As it stands they try to cut every program to help these children born in abject poverty, drugs and abuse.
So if they claim to be pro life, it's time they practice what they preach and stop only being pro birth. Because at that point life is just beginning.

I'll be happy to answer it and then you can address my point. I do believe that women should have a say in the matter. Not exclusively women but most certainly a group which reflects the overall population of our nation.
In Alabama's case, it was 25 white men. If you find that represents the make up for our nation, then fine. But yes, women should be represented on women's issues.

Man, Republicans are doing everything imaginable to hand 2020 to the Dems. This is the assault on women’s rights that we warned people about.
It’s like y’all want to be voted out of the trump orbit or something....

Must not have adequately received the message in the mid terms last year.
That’s ok, the majority will remind you again in 2020.

But as we've learned, the majority doesn't mean anything in this country. You not only have to beat him by a majority, but by a LARGE majority.

Can’t wait to see the results. That isn't what is happening at all! They are telling her what she can or cannot do with the child's body. She already has many options on what she can do with her own body, like not getting pregnant in the first place.

And if they are elected, are only women allowed to vote? appointed? By whom, the 25 white men? state level? federal level? both? if they are the "legislative" body, who serves as the executive body?

I plainly stated that it should be reflective of the population. That includes race and gender. The executive body doesn't write laws. Obviously, as seen by the mass confusion by allowing states to act independently on the issue of abortion, it should be set at the federal level. Which it already has been but that doesn't seem to be stopping anyone that decides they wish to pass laws which are obviously contrary to current law.
We both know that 25 conservative white men do not represent the will of the overall population.

I plainly stated that it should be reflective of the population. Which means they would have to be appointed.. because if you left it up to voters, there is always the chance it wouldn't be reflective of the population.. so we are back to, who gets to appoint them? The executive body doesn't write laws. Correct, the executive body signs them into law... so are we going to have an executive body or does the popular vote of the legislative body rule? Obviously, as seen by the mass confusion by allowing states to act independently on the issue of abortion, it should be set at the federal level. Which it already has been but that doesn't seem to be stopping anyone that decides they wish to pass laws which are obviously contrary to current law. Exactly, any time a few of those rascally states gets out of line, the automatic call that things should be federalized. We both know that 25 conservative white men do not represent the will of the overall population. Then the folks of Alabama should have voted differently. “elections have consequences, you lost, get over it” Barrack Obama 2010
