The NFL Network is set to release their Top 100 Players list. This list is a result of a poll of all active players. So, what Browns should make the list, and where on the list?
OK, I will start with who I think will make the list:
Worthy of inclusion.
OBJ (77) Landry (52) Chubb Mayfield Ward Garrett Bitonio Tretter Hunt (33)
OK, so I don't think Hunt makes this year's list, because of his off field problems. The fact that Chubb really only started for about half the season plays against him.
I look for both Landry and OBJ to make the list, maybe around the 40-60 range. Garrett definitely makes the list, probably in the 20-30 range.
Bitonio should make it, but he sometimes seems to get overlooked. I think that *could* happen this year.
Mayfield will make the list. I suspect he'll be around 50-60.
Ward will probably make the list, but injuries could push him down. He played in 13 games, and was effective in all of them. I think that he will place lower than his talent would indicate, probably around 60-70.
Chubb should make the list, but I suspect that he won't. Ditto for Tretter.
So, I project Garrett at 23, OBJ at 46, Landry at 57, Mayfield at 58, Ward at 67 .... and going against what I just said about him, Bitonio at 89. Yep, 6 Cleveland Browns in the NFL Players Top 100.
That's my guess. What's yours?

OBJ, Landry, maybe Garrett.
No offence but the rest of your list isn't ready - quite yet - to be Top 100.

Hard to say.
Baker might make it, but it would probably be in the 80s or 90s.
Same thing for Chubb. Maybe 70s.
Ward should be in the 50s--60s.
Landry about the same.
OBJ might not be as high as expected because he missed games, but he'll be in it.
Garrett should be the highest rated Brown on this particular list.

My reasoning for bake is, there shouldn't be more than 10 QBs in a top 100, if that.
And I think it's early to call him a top 10 QB. He might get there in a hurry, but....
Chubb and Ward, same thing. Obviously those are just opinions.

I'll guess:
Bitonio slips into the 90s Chubb sneaks in too Landry into the 80s Ward right after him Garrett somewhere midway OBJ into the top 20
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Chubb and Ward, same thing. Obviously those are just opinions. When I was spitballing the numbers, I was thinking 10 QBs, just due to the position's importance. Then maybe 10 receivers, 5 backs, 5 tight ends, 20 offensive linemen, 20 defensive linemen, 10 backers, 8-10 safeties, 10-12 corners, or something along those lines. Maybe get a few more skill players and a few less lineman, or put in a few elite special teams players in place of a few defenders.

Also, Chubb should be on this list though it wouldn't surprise me if he got left off. He's all-around one of the best backs in the league. He has great burst, elusiveness, runs for power, can break the big one, catches well out of the backfield, doesn't fumble.
PFF actually rated him as the #1 back last year. I can understand wanting to see a bigger body of work though.

I think Chubb definitely deserves on the list ... Bell, Zeke, Gurley, Kamara, McCaffrey, Chubb ...

I think Randall, might belong in the 80-100 range for sure, Mitchell, maybe Carie, Schobert, and Kirksey, Coley, Ogunjobi, and Garrett,
Of, Zeitler, OBJ, Sheldon Richardon and Vernon, I just don't know which way to categorize them and the list, is it last years game or this years team.
I don't know about the offensive players, any of them could make the list I guess, except one, or maybe a couple others, why single them out.

This is a top 100 NFL list. To put this in perspective, the average team will figure to have about 3 players on the list.
The Browns are talented and probably deserve to have more than that, but if you get to the point where almost half our starters are on the list, there's probably some homerism at play. JMO of course.

Baker, OBJ, and Garrett are the only locks.

Baker, OBJ, and Garrett are the only locks. Not even sure Baker is a lock. Like lamp was saying, he's probably got to beat out 10 other QBs to get on the list, and he's only got a season under his belt. Same thing with Chubb and Ward. They could sneak in, but I'm not sure they're locks. I'd say Garrett and OBJ should make it no problem, but even Beckham was ranked 77th last year, so who knows.

Some thoughts:
--Baker was the leagues 23rd ranked qb.
--OBJ was 77th because he missed a ton of the season.
--OBJ missed time again last year, so he will probably move down.
--Ward was voted to the Pro Bowl, so I assume his peers will rank him quite high. Plus, he is a true stud.
--Landry should crack the top 100. Players are smarter than the Sashi-Ites.
--I'm thinking Chubb makes it.
--I'm fairly certain Myles makes it.

I love how you pick and choose. That upset you, but people calling other posters "Hue Humpers" did not.

I don't know if Baker is a lock. I'd say Myles, OBJ, and Bitonio are pretty certain

Take a freaking hike w/your phony self. Sorry, I didn't see one person mention Hue or Sashi until you wandered into the thread. For all the "rules" that you set up for other people, you seem to be the most frequent violator.

And I think it's early to call him a top 10 QB.
He was a top ten quarterback last year.

if we're talking QBs for JUST this year and not in the future ...
these guys will probably be ranked ahead of Baker:
Mahomes Brady Brees Rodgers Roethlisberger Wilson Rivers
He'll be mixed in with guys like:
Watson Wentz Newton Ryan Stafford

Who you guys rooting for? I'm not much of a hoops fan but I'm enjoying the raptors narrative.
