What do you mean by "anything?"

I could have sworn I just posted a link to an article about it. Maybe I am like Eve and am sleepwalking or dreaming?

We know very little about his football-related activities during the off-season

...There's still plenty of time for him to do so if he wanted to, isn't there?

It just turned to May. Sometimes Brady will meet with his QB coach over his bye week during the season.

Was doing some research on Tom House and came across some interesting sites/articles.

SI Article on Tom House w/ Video

3DQB's official website (House's company)

Article and Video on Brady's work ethic that includes mention of House

You don't have to like Brady to respect the work he puts in. He's another guy that finds plenty of time for the media, too, though. I think he and Baker share some similarities personality wise.

No clue where to put this so i went with this thread as he’s a 2nd year dude .... this is funny ..

LAMAR JACKSON
QB, BALTIMORE RAVENS

Lamar Jackson admitted he's still having issues with throwing the football consistently.

ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley noted "several" of Jackson's passes "wobbled through the air" at the first week of OTAs. And Jackson agreed that things just aren't right yet from an accuracy standpoint. "It's been crazy. It's been everywhere," Jackson said of his throws. "I feel like my hand is a little too high on the football and that makes the ball go out of whack a lot." The Ravens are changing up their whole offense under new OC Greg Roman, and at the same time, Jackson is obviously trying to fix his mechanics to become a better passer in a passing league. It's going to be a work in progress and something that may truly never get totally fixed.

The very first time I saw him throw. I knew there was a problem. When the draft process was happening I went into detail in an analysis of Lamar.

First his base is way narrow and he is very upright when he releases the ball. He brings his plant foot forward as he releases.

He never really sets to throw. It is like his mind is first set to watch the rush and be ready to run.

I don't see a guy who all of sudden is going to beat you throwing the ball from the pocket. He got to where he is as a run first guy. That is what he is.

The question becomes can the Ravens make it work consistently? The NFL now has tape on what the Raven plan is and how they execute.

We shall see what happens.

THE AFC NORTH'S 5 BEST SECOND-YEAR TALENTS

BY: JOE MARINO
MAY 24TH, 2019

https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/the-afc-north-s-5-best-second-year-talents

The AFC North is up next in our sophomore series that began this week at TDN. It was an impressive group of rookies last season in the Division that figures to shift the landscape in the coming years with two quarterbacks making the list.

Three Browns made my list and "honorable mention" cases can certainly be made for LB Genard Avery and WR Antonio Callaway. I'm also very high on Austin Corbett who can settle into a guard position in Year Two after being bounced around between tackle and guard as a rookie. Cleveland won the 2018 NFL Draft and are primed to become a contender after years decades, as a cellar-dweller.

BAKER MAYFIELD, QB, CLEVELAND BROWNS
I don’t want to get weird but when Mayfield took the field in Week Three against the Jets and replaced Tyrod Taylor, what ensued is one of the most magical sports moments I’ve ever experienced. Watching Mayfield lead the Browns who were down 14-0 with a bumbling offense to a 21-17 victory, giving Cleveland its first win in 19 games was chilling.

Mayfield proceeded to pass for 3,725 yards in 2018 and set a new NFL rookie record for passing touchdowns in a season with 27. He was a seven-time Rookie of the Week award winner and he looks primed to be one of the faces of the NFL for years to come. Mayfield was arguably the league’s best rookie regardless of positions in 2018.

DENZEL WARD, CB, CLEVELAND BROWNS
The Browns took some heat for drafting a smallish corner with pick No. 4, but after the way Ward performed in his rookie season, nobody is questioning the selection now. His career got off to a blazing start, picking off Ben Roethlisberger twice in Week 1 and was a standout the rest of the way.

Ward finished his rookie season with 53 tackles, 11 pass breakups and three interceptions in 13 games. His dominant season landed him Pro Bowl Honors as a rookie.

JESSIE BATES, S, CINCINNATI BENGALS
Bates was a second-round pick but he certainly performed like a first-round talent during his impressive rookie season for Cincinnati. Starting all 16 games, Bates tallied 111 tackles, seven pass break ups and three interceptions.

Thriving in deep zones, Bates' is providing Cincy with a true ballhawking centerfield while filling against the run extremely well. Bates is looking like one of the early steals of the draft.

NICK CHUBB, RB, CLEVELAND BROWNS
Despite not receiving more than three carries in a game until Week Seven, Chubb finished in the top-10 of the entire league in both rushing yards and yards per carry. A dominant runner in the SEC, Chubb looked like he was still playing in college with the way he dashed and plowed through NFL defenses.

Being Cleveland’s lead back from Day One in 2019 could put him in contention for a rushing title.

LAMAR JACKSON, QB, BALTIMORE RAVENS
Toss your conventional measures out the window when it comes to Jackson, he’s capable of quarterbacking a highly challenging offense to defend. While he didn't exactly dice up secondaries in traditional ways, Jackson’s mobility opened up so many opportunities in both the run and pass game which lead to Ravens' victories.

Jackson became Baltimore’s starter for the last seven games of the season, leading the Ravens to a 6-1 close to the season and was the only rookie to lead his team to the postseason. An offense featuring a supporting cast more suited to execute stylistically in ways that play to Jackson’s strengths, Baltimore’s offense promises to be appointment television in 2019.

For me, and someone mentioned this, he was a 2 time walk on, he won the heisman, he became the first pick in the draft... that's all the proof I need to know he's a hard working individual. ...we pretty much have NOTHING to worry about with Baker. He's going to be fine. He should be the least of our concerns.

The kid is a phenomenal leader. Teammates will walk thru walls for him. We haven't had anything like that here in decades. And people want to nitpick about what he is or isn't doing in the offseason? But I get it. He's a super star and anything he does will be magnified.

If people want to worry about him, go right on ahead. And if I'm wrong, I'll take ya'll out for ice cream.

And that's my opinion!

He's a "superstar" when he wins a Super Bowl. Until then he's just another player. Hype doesn't cut it all the way to the tree line...

I don't know about that...

There are superstar players who haven't ever been to a Super Bowl. The hype with Baker isn't made up, it's real.

But...I guess we all have our opinions.

Arguments can be made over terms like superstar, elite or what have you. You can talk about hypothetical Super Bowl wins, etc.
The only other QB in my recent memory who made such an immediate, unambiguous and clear impression that he was special when he stepped on the field beside Mayfield was Russel Wilson.

I think you have to include Mahommes there.

Baker is in that article, EO. The writer even says he considers Baker the best 2018 rookie regardless of position.

I have no pro scout eye and even I can see LJ is a wasted draft pick for the Rats. I fear them NOT.

LJ is a gimmick player who will be on the bench before the season is over.

Baker has to continue to improve, and they have put some very solid pieces around him that will help. But the way the Browns are set up, they can beat you with D, with the run game, with the pass. Hopefully special teams vastly improves. This is a complete team and gives the Browns and Baker every chance to win. Now they have to go win on the field and with all the noise associated with this team other teams are going to come to try as hard as they can to prove this is still the same old Browns.

But the days of teams looking past and maybe not giving their best effort when playing the Browns are OVER. Will get teams best and we are going to have to prove we are up to the test. As hyped as I am for the season to get underway I know this isn't going to be easy.

Our second year guys need to improve across the board and I believe they will and it starts with Baker. He must react better with pressure and improve his accuracy when pressured. Its not a unique issue with QB's but the ones that best manage these situations are elite QB's.

I agree, and BakerM is going to need to work on stretching the field more given the talent. He could have some gaudy numbers, as should the club.

A ways off, but wow, I want to see us get this started.

Umm .... in just 486 attempts, Mayfielf had 52 passes of 20+ yards and 9 of 40+ yards.

This was in 13.5 games, and as a rookie.

By comparison:

Roethlisberger had 675 attempts, and had 61 of 20+ and 16 of 40+.

Tom Brady had 570 attempts, with 53 of 20+ yards and 8 of 40+.

Brees had 489 pass attempts, with 58 of 20+ and 6 of 40+.

Rivers threw 508 times with 60 of 20+ and 10 of 40+.

Luck threw 639 times with 53 of 20+ and 7 of 40+.

Dak threw 526 times, with 39 of 20+ and 9 of 40+.

Rodgers threw 597 times, with 55 of 20+ and 16 of 40+.

Eussell Wilson threw only 427 times, and had 47 of 320+ yards and 13 of 40+.

Mahommes was the real outlier, with 580 pass attempts, with 75 of 20+ and 15 of 40+.

Baker "stretched the field" as well as most QBs, despite being a rookie. He should look to make plays within the offense, as he did far more often in the 2nd half of the season ..... and also to continue to improve on his reads.

I understand that winning the championship is the goal, and it means a lot, but it doesn't diminish a players greatness if they didn't.

Swap Marino and Montana and Marino probably has multiple rings and Montana none.

There are great players who never played on great teams, and it is a team sport.
