saw this coming. she was a crap PM, though to be fair, thrown into a practically impossible situation.
im not a supporter of brexit, but i called it. and it sucks that 3 years later, the will of the people haven't been fulfilled yet.
it reminds me of the citizens of maine voting to legalize weed, but that loser lepage refuses to implement it. not the same circumstance obviously, but similar situations.
also, i think the overall appetite to bounce out the EU is gone. was paying attention the whole time, and it appears there's a lot of brexiteers who were all for it....until they released it also stunts THEIR own ability to travel and do business in mainland europe.
brexit should be a valuable lesson for modern society of what happens when you vote for something without considering the consequences that you will personally feel. sounds all good to kick people out....right up until you realize that you're also being kicked out from your own lifestyle.
like US farmers are realizing.

The entire referendum was run horrendously. It was a lot like Hilary vs Trump .... the Brexit-eers were telling whopping lies and the 'stay' campaign basically didn't run a campaign because they never imagined losing. Because of that arrogance and stupidity of those in charge - the referendum was simply set up as 'stay' or 'leave' - without any nuance or in between choices that would have been a softer exit or compromise. Funnily enough after the Brexit vote, Farage or Johnson were given the opportunity to step in and lead the country during the Brexit process ... both wilted into the shadows and wanted no part of the the hard work. Within days of the vote some of the biggest lies the campaign ran on were immediately exposed: Immigration control, the North/Sth Irish border, and the increased money being made available for the national health service. Since the vote it has been an absolute disaster. All fun stuff. Fun reading for anyone that is interested: https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/list-of-brexit-liesW is for Will Of The People. It’s not now, and it’s debatable if it ever was. Latest polling suggests 45 per cent of people now want to Remain, versus 35 per cent who want to Leave and 22 per cent undecided. Even in the referendum itself, only 37 per cent of the electorate voted for Leave, the rest either voted Remain or not at all. Some Will Of The PeopleY is for Youth Vote. More than 70 per cent of 18-24 year olds (the generation who will live with Brexit longer than any other) voted to Remain. By the time 29 March comes and we leave the EU, around 1.4m more young people will be of voting age. The idea that Brexit is the will of these people is a dangerous lie.

yea, if there was a second referendum, they would definitely vote to stay in.

I believe the people were conned prior to the vote. Now that they actually comprehend the repercussions of Brexit, they realize they were snookered.

I'm not so sure about that. We see it all the time. Sometimes people see and believe what they want to see and believe. You have two opposite story lines and set of suppositions and very often people simply choose to believe what align with their preconceived notions.
If you look at the claims that were made by the Brexit bunch you can easily see just how false many of their claims were.

They weren't conned, they had all of the information and everybody was so confident that it wouldn't pass, that they forgot to show up. All of what information? The fact that money saved from contributing to the EU would be spent on the NHS? A lie. That immigration was uncontrollable if they were part of EU? A lie ... or that immigration would immediately be under control of the UK if they left the EU. A lie. Or that there would be no hard border between Nth/Sth Ireland? A lie. You obviously did not read either article posted. Yes - the 'stay' party didn't offer ANYTHING to educate or defend the decision to stay. But the "facts" were not the facts .... what the Brexit vote was decided on was a bunch or erogenous spin, lies and total BS. less than 37% of the population voted to leave. Of them - over 65's who aren't going to be affect much by the exit voted to leave 2:1 .... the youth 18-24 who have their 'whole' lives ahead of them voted to stay 2:1 .... virtually everything about the referendum and the farce since has been incompetent.

I am a strong supporter of Brexit and I wanted her out of there as soon as possible. She was incompetent and did not have the true interests of what the people voted for.
The faster we dissolve the EU as a whole, the better. Its an overarching, socialist type of committee who was never actually elected by the people of each countries. Who the hell are these people to tell individuals in other countries what to do? If I were in Europe I'd stick it to them!
The leaders of the EU are also frustrated that people are nationalists and patriotic about their own countries, culture, and individuality. The fact that they don't like that is quite pathetic.

people are nationalists and patriotic about their own countries, culture, and individuality. Oh I think you hit the nail on the head there. In all these free societies where the people get to vote for the government of their choosing - and all of them are way way to the left of the USA .... the people ACTUALLY want a moron Nationalist like Trump in power. Yes yes, I think you nailed it.

You do realize that after two World Wars in a 20 year span of each other, the destruction of most of Europe and the deaths of millions that the EU was created so that such horrors would never happen again? And, with exception to Yugoslavia/Kosovo...it hasn't happened since 1945. Regarding telling individual's in other countries what to do...isn't that what America has been doing since it stepped foot on this land (colonization of the new world)? In case you don't know...it's kinda the European/American thing. Go into other countries and tell its people how they should live. We like doing that so much that laws are now being passed by Americans telling its own women what they can and can't do with their own bodies. But yeah, it's all the "Liberals & Socialists" fault. Britain is in just as much of a mess as America. Boris Johnson is a snake and Jeremy Corbyn is an idiot. But, as the Tories have control, it will probably be Johnson (unless it goes to a General Election?).

You do realize the people of those countries voted for Brexit and state individualism correct?
By not giving it to them you are defying the will of the people. I guess you don't care about that. In addition, I'm not sure why you're bringing up abortion. That is not relevant to the current conversation\topic. Please try to stay on track.

Now that they are actually aware of the truth of what Brexit actually means and the impact it would have, they should get to vote on it again.
The very demagogues you seem to advocate lied to the people and as such, won the vote based on those lies. But that seems to be the popular way of doing things with people of your ilk.

That is not relevant to the current conversation\topic. Please try to stay on track. I understand people voted for Brexit, however, they were not presented with the full facts, they were lied to and fell for scare tactics and, to be honest, the average person has no clue about the economics at play let alone even thinking about the border issue between the Rep of Ireland and N. Ireland. That said, I was simply commenting on your ridiculous post. Me making the connection to colonization & the US abortion issue was also in reference to your question as to who those people are telling people how to live. It's a pretty obvious connection to your question, actually.

37% of the population of the UK voted for Brexit. 36% or there abouts voted to stay. No other countries voted on Brexit. In the local elections throughout the UK - the left leaning pro-EU parties are said to be doing very well. What's interesting is Farage is also popular where he has run .... I don't know how Farage's popularity and vote total will translate when he moves to main stream British politics. Hopefully he will continue to get milkshaked and exposed for being a lying SOB.

What nationality are they?
In the UK - you have basically 1/3 chance of hating the EU - 1/3 chance of being pro EU - and about 1/3 chance of not having made your mind up..... and they are the only country to have left the EU. I can't prove it and I am not going to google - but I think any other nation is going to be more pro EU than the UK..... so for what it's worth the haters are in the minority.

For whatever it's worth, the Europeans who work for me hate the EU. There is good and there is bad with everything and I suspect it also depends on the people you talk to. For what its worth...if you talk to people in Seattle, Portland, SF, Boston, NYC, Chicago etc. they will say negative things about Trump's America. Go to other places in America and they will say it's great. It's not a fair representation...it is what it is. But, I think those who voted one way or the other for Brexit believed at the time in what they were voting for. Many Brexiteers who voted to leave now want a re-vote and say they would cast it to remain in the EU. There are some things that are so big, so intricate, so detailed that 99.9% of the people have no clue how they work nor can see the big picture of the cause and effect. Those things should be dealt with by those elected in power rather than going to the public for a General Election. The complexities of leaving the EU is one of those issues.

So youre against a democracy opinion of the locals for deciding who makes the laws they must abide by?
You want a (most likely corrupt) governing body make the decisons without a vote?

No. Thats evil. Into dictatorships/monarchys much? Congress decided on NAFTA and other economic trade deals such as the Trans Pacific PArtnership...the people don't. The President and Congress may listen to its people, but ultimately they decide what to do w/trade etc. What's the difference? Trade alone, there are many other complex issues people don't have enough information to make an informed decision on. The border between N.Ireland and Republic of Ireland is so complex for so many reasons that it alone cannot be taken lightly. How many people are informed enough to make that decision? Protestant, Catholic, somebody in Dublin, somebody in Belfast, somebody in London, somebody in Scotland, Wales, Cornwall....it means so many things to many and so little to many that it's incredibly dangerous to even make light of it without being informed and educated on it.
