Nice. 11 to go. Should come sooner than later with the way we've picked it up and Detroit fell apart.

3 guys with 15+ wins ... wish we had this staff in '95 and '97, eh? The '95 team might have won 125 games with this starting staff.

If the Indians go 9-8 the rest of the way, Detroit has to go 15-1 just to tie them.

Ya but we don't want to go 9-8. WE want to stay hot and bring it right into the playoffs. If your going to get hot you couldn't pick a better time than now.

No we want to back in the playoffs WHY? Because the last two teams who have done that have won the world series... Remember Chicago's almost collapse in 2005? St. Louis almost collapsed last year too.

I think its 22 ... 11 reg season and 11 post-season. Lets just get to playoffs for now. We'll burn that bridge when we get to it.

Day game this afternoon in Chicago, 2 PM start. Odd lineup run out there today (not really a surprise, day game after a night game, series win assured already). Here is the lineup:
Sizemore CF Cabrera SS Garko 1B Martinez C Gutierrez RF Lofton LF Blake 3B Nixon DH Barfield 2B

Wow, Barfield with a rare start..........and for his first AB he comes through with an RBI single. Good job! 1-0 Tribe. ....and then he gets caught stealing.

I won't complain about a caught stealing... I was calling for more running, bunting, etc.. so if they tried it and it didn't work this time.. I won't complain...

Uribe hit another one off us this series. That's 3 this series and his 6th of the season off us (dude only has 19 on the year). And mix in he's hitting .227 too (.263 against us). Even though we own a 11-6 advantage on the White Sox this year, as of now, I'll be glad to put them behind us after today.
1-1

I'm seeing HRs, fly balls, and Ks for Westbrook on Gameday. Somebody tell him to get the ball down. I want to see ground outs from him.

Well, I am here in Chicago.....but I don't think I can get that message to him. I don't mind Thome getting 500, 501 or 502 against us today. As long as we win.....nothing else matters to me.

Um, the odds of us winning with that happening are slim so that doesn't really make sense.

The ump has a high strike zone and isn't calling much low at all, so Jake has had to pitch up in the zone a little more than he'd like, IMO.

Yeah, it was Barfield. Damn, should have left him on the bench. We have an off day tomorrow....anyone who needed rest could get it tomorrow. Poop!
We need Javier off the mound. Their bullpen is ripe for 5-6 runs, if we can get to them in time.
Keep the game close Westy!
