he basically wanted to charge trump with obstruction but couldnt due to DoJ guidelines.

Well he didn't really say anything we didn't already know. I think this was to temper expectations for his congressional testimony. He pretty much made a case for dems to get the entire report with underlying docs.

He did clarify again that Trump obstructed justice and he left it to congress to do something about it because his hands were tied.

Another thing he said was HUGE. He said that they did not find 'sufficient evidence to bring charges' on the conspiracy side. Sure sounds like he found evidence but could not connect enough dots to make it airtight enough to reach the level needed for charges.

I think this finished destroying Barr's credibility.

He re-emphasized everything we know. And he made it clear the only reason trump is safe is because he’s a sitting president.

Congress DO YOUR JOB!

If Trump and GOPers continue to obstruct, lock them all up.

I hope some of the republicans in the Senate paid attention to this.

He made it clear that if Trump could have been exonerated he would have been in regards to obstruction, but he was not. He also said he was under the constraint that a sitting president can not be indicted.

'Insufficient evidence' does not mean there was NO evidence! It just means the evidence did not rise to the very high level needed for prosecution, especially since the president could not be prosecuted.

also, 102 million spent on securing trump for his golf trips, which he made money on. mueller had 67 mill to play with.

Had Mueller come out and said these things, you would treat him like you are treating Comey and others who told you the truth early on. You would attack the investigation and investigators with phoney ass conspiracy theory BS. Trump is dirty and you won't face that reality.

If Congress feels there is obstruction, their job is to go for impeachment.

Insufficient Evidence to Charge Conspiracy!
If we had found no evidence of obstruction, we would have said so. The report DOES NOT exonerate Trump.

Congress must investigate deeply, understand the facts, then decide rather it calls for impeachment... which it does.

That's pretty hard to do when Trump is obstructing their ability to carry out the investigation.

Trump wants to force it to the courts or force Dems to impeach without all the facts. Trump is banking on his stacked SCOTUS to back him. I think it will fail miserably. The GOP Senators are the only thing that will save Trump, and I think that is sad for the country.

So far as I know, only one Republican Senator has spoken out publicly against Trump. Only one has had the courage to stand up for what "used to be" Republican principals. That would be Justin Amash.

Hopefully with Mueller saying this, “Under longstanding department policy, a president cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. That is unconstitutional,” said Mueller. “Charging the president with a crime was therefore not an option we could consider.”, maybe more will do so.

But I'm not holding my breath.

Amash is a House Rep.

Amash is brilliant.

He has found a lot of favor with Democrats with his anti Trump stand and the Republicans hate him.

I have a feeling he is preparing to run as an Independent or Libertarian against Trump which would take a good chunk of Democrats away from Biden or Bernie.

I know how hard it is for you to believe any Republican could just be being honest about Trump.

Well, he can't expect from others what he's incapable of himself.
You know how this works-

Everyone realizes it is impossible for you and Clem to look outside of your "Hate Trump" boxes but their is a larger world out here.

Amash had won his seat in a squeaker as it was and probably thinks he can't win it again.
So he made his break by hating Trump and thus alienated the Republicans in his district.

Now he is free to run for President as an Independent or Libertarian and then when he loses, he will run in his district as an "I" or "L", getting votes from Democrats, Independents, Libertarians and maybe some Republicans.

This is the funniest idea for the last week.

From your political leanings I can understand why you feel to compelled to believe that every politician has their own twisted, self serving motivation and couldn't possibly just be taking a moral stand with ethics involved. Especially considering many of the actions coming from the side you support since Trump came along. But sometimes it actually happens.

Maybe you should be supporting people like that for a change?
