I see you really haven't followed the thread. Fishing was just one of many activities mentioned that was being pursued rather than skateboarding when I was young.

But thanks for playing!
maybe you should follow the thread and re-read my post. I stated "competitive" skateboarding.

Thanks for playing.

That has already been covered. Thanks for being a day late and a dollar short.

You know things are boring when people start getting personal about skateboarding.

You get shredded all the time and it never slows you down. I never let chump change hold me down.

I find your propensity to have to have the last word rather amusing. Your ego just cant stand to not have it. It has been noted by many others on this board as well. Its almost like little man syndrome or something. Is your nickname "big guy"?

I understand you rarely actually get the better of someone. I understand you feel some need to shout it from the ceiling. I mean it happens so rarely it's like Christmas came early for you. I get it.

It's your, "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while" moment.

You actually made a point and I can see why that causes you to feel the need to celebrate. It may be worthy of a journal entry for you.

So I stand aside and let you celebrate your rare accomplishment.

This is one of the weirdest threads I’ve read on this board. That is a real achievement.

I like skateboarding and fishing, I could go either way on this.

I've seen a dog ride a skateboard, and a squirrel ride skis around a swimming pool,

Show me a dog using a rod to reel in a fish and you have something.

It's not "competitive" skateboarding, but I would say endurance isn't absolutely necessary for the trick skateboarding I've seen,

endurance, I'd define as holding out for longer periods of time.

Eh, X-Games winter sports are a thing at the Olympics, so I guess it only makes sense that skateboarding is added. It's all the "cool bro hippie sports" genre. I don't know the right word for it.

But have you ever tried fishing while skateboarding?

I got pretty good back from like 2002-2005, but mainly street stuff. I never could get in to pipes and I think I just shied away because I didn't have much fun doing them.

It was a great time and definitely takes some stones once you start getting good and the tricks get bigger. I've taken some nasty spills both in and out of skate parks. Broken arm (skatepark), concussion (skatepark with helmet--those damn vertical bowls), pretty bad rolled ankle that always gave me issues (swelled up to the side of a grapefruit in like 30s), and numerous scars.

We had a perfectly set up 9 stair gap in my home town that I kickflipped and FS 180'd down. Probably my greatest 'achievement' on the board.

At skateparks, I'd be able to lipslide, boardslide, 50-50 and 5-0 most of the bigger rails. Could kickflip-backside 5-0 down boxes on the pyramids pretty good too.

I miss it. I think about it pretty regularly how I'd fair if I hopped on a board and practiced for a few days. I'd probably snap it in half seeing as I weight about 40 pounds more now though.

But I like your classification too.

Unlike people, who have to spend big bucks on gear to catch fish, dogs just catch fish.. tongue

Very cool dogs. I don't remember ever seeing a dog catch fish like that.

Can anybody make out the breeds? (probably a cross)

I can adroitly rule out:

Chihuahua, dachshund, St. Bernard.

You can technically run a trout line across the lake and come back and check it later, so you can do whatever and still be fishing.

At one time, I felt, the minor injuries from skateboarding were so avoidable, by just not doing dangerous jumps,

If my Grandmother, had seen me ride a skateboard down the railing of the outdoor front church steps, and stick the landing, I'd a been whipped within an inch of my life! because, you could fall and break an arm,,,

giving me the political view, at one time, that some activites, that aren't addictive like smoking, should be taxed at "astronomical" levels, believe me I'm talking 800% tax,

but not just skateboarding but racing and some other activities, (A nice 180 dollar skateboard, with a 1400 dollar price tag, after taxes, ) you wanna fall and break your neck, at least I would could laugh a little, to myself knowing you paid through the nose to act like that.

Then, it's fun to just come up with tons of "specific" activities to tax astronomically that you personally would not see yourself doing.

I may have since changed this view, to one where taxes don't help anybody, except bigger government.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Just one correction, it’s a trotline.

I just googled it. It's trotline. Maybe southerners spell trout like trot? I'm just throwing a Hail Mary here. wink
