Trump kicked off his campaign (officially) last night in Orlando. Truth be told, he started campaigning for 2020 the day after he was elected in 2016, but hey...
Some things I'd like to point out..
1. Hillary isn't running this time. He spent almost half his time talking about Hillary. why?
2. Speaking of Hillary, she still isn't locked up
3. There still isn't a wall or even a beginning of one (actually, there was some replacement walls put up but that was scheduled during the Obama admin. And I guess a "go fund me" page put together enough money to put up a small wall,,,,, what was it, $22 million for a 20 ft wall?)
4. The Iran Nuclear deal was killed by Trump and look where we are today, getting ready for war with Iran., This is "foreign policy by Moron"! hows that working for ya.
5. The national debt is up by $2.5 Trillion dollars and the deficit is rising.
6. The Lordstown plant is closed and 4 others went down as well. 15,000 lay offs at GM and another 7000 at Ford.. That's what we get for giving them an incredible tax cut. Brilliant!
7. Donald Trumps admin can't keep staff. Highest turnover of any president ever. Nobody comes close. He'll hire the best? BS.
8. Speaking of staff and Cabinet appointees. When are the ones that are Acting actually going to become approved? What's he afraid of there? Anyone know?
9. Under Trump, there has been virtually no moves by the Senate to secure our elections. Why doesn't he stand up to McConnell and tell him to get it done. Dems are ready to go on this, so are many of the Reps. Why is McConnell stonewalling this. You'd think that this would be a priority. Guess not.
10. for the purposes of this writing, I'm stopping at 10.. The MUELLER REPORT DIDN'T EXONERATE TRUMP. GET THAT STRAIGHT. IF YOU READ IT, YOU'LL SEE. HE'S NOT CLEAR... NOT EVEN A LITTLE.
Bonus round: Why is he stopping people from standing up in front of the House committees requesting them to testify? What's he afraid of.
Bonus round II: What's in his taxes and corporate financials that he's scared to show? What's in there that he's afraid of.
Bonus round III: What's with William Barr? Someone explain why he won't show up when requested? What's he afraid of.
Bonus round IV: On his ABC interview over the weekend, Trump said that he didn't testify in front of Mueller because he knew they were trying to trap him in lies. What's that say? Does it say he lies, knows he lies and is afraid of being caught? I think that's EXACTLY what it means.
And still no wall, Hillary not locked up and the national debt is growing... If this is winning, we lost!

I didn't watch Trump speak but I heard it was the same old thing with no new material... I did watch several brief interviews with his supporters, everyone they interviewed had the IQ of a sack of potatoes. When will they put on a smart, well spoken Trump supporter? I also saw some hicks camping out 40 hours early to make sure they got inside because 120k people requested tickets... I wonder how they felt when only 14k showed up leaving 5-6 THOUSAND seats empty? lmao
But I'm happy for him! And if we can keep him focused on the campaign maybe we can avoid a war.
EDIT: BTW, one woman said he never lies and didn't understand how so many people could say he does. She thinks the left and the media just pick on him all the time... WTH is the matter with these people?
So Trump "officially" kicked off 2020 campaign yesterday in Orlando.
Below is a "non-endorsement" of Trump yesterday morning in the Orlando Sentinel. And before anyone starts crying about another lib rag-they are right leaning and almost always endorse the republican candidate.
Our Orlando Sentinel endorsement for president in 2020: Not Donald Trump | Editorial By ORLANDO SENTINEL EDITORIAL BOARD | ORLANDO SENTINEL | JUN 18, 2019 | 5:30 AM
For the 2020 election, the Orlando Sentinel will not endorse President Donald Trump for re-election. The nation must do better. Donald Trump is in Orlando to announce the kickoff of his re-election campaign.
We’re here to announce our endorsement for president in 2020, or, at least, who we’re not endorsing: Donald Trump.
Some readers will wonder how we could possibly eliminate a candidate so far before an election, and before knowing the identity of his opponent.
Because there’s no point pretending we would ever recommend that readers vote for Trump.
After 2½ years we’ve seen enough.
Enough of the chaos, the division, the schoolyard insults, the self-aggrandizement, the corruption, and especially the lies.
So many lies — from white lies to whoppers — told out of ignorance, laziness, recklessness, expediency or opportunity.
Trump’s capacity for lying isn’t the surprise here, though the frequency is.
It’s the tolerance so many Americans have for it.
There was a time when even a single lie — a phony college degree, a bogus work history — would doom a politician’s career.
Not so for Trump, who claimed in 2017 that he lost the popular vote because millions of people voted illegally (they didn’t). In 2018 he said North Korea was no longer a nuclear threat (it is). And in 2019 he said windmills cause cancer (they don’t). Just last week he claimed the media fabricated unfavorable results from his campaign’s internal polling (it didn’t).
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump Just landed - a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea. Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience. North Korea has great potential for the future!
99.1K 5:56 AM - Jun 13, 2018 Twitter Ads info and privacy 43.2K people are talking about this According to a Washington Post database, the president has tallied more than 10,000 lies since he took office.
Trump’s successful assault on truth is the great casualty of this presidency, followed closely by his war on decency.
Trump insults political opponents and national heroes alike with middle-school taunts. He demonstrates no capacity for empathy or remorse. He misuses his office to punish opponents, as when he recently called for a boycott of AT&T to get even with his least favorite media outlet, CNN. He tears down institutions, once airily suggesting the U.S. should try having a leader for life as China now allows. He seems incapable of learning a lesson, telling an ABC interviewer last week — just two months after Robert Mueller’s report on election interference was released — that he would accept dirt on an opponent from Russia or China.
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump I believe that if people stoped using or subscribing to @ATT, they would be forced to make big changes at @CNN, which is dying in the ratings anyway. It is so unfair with such bad, Fake News! Why wouldn’t they act. When the World watches @CNN, it gets a false picture of USA. Sad!
99.5K 6:50 AM - Jun 3, 2019 Twitter Ads info and privacy 66.6K people are talking about this Trump has diminished our standing in the world. He reneges on deals, attacks allies and embraces enemies.
This nation must never forget that humiliating public moment in Helsinki in 2018 when the president of the United States chose to accept Vladimir Putin’s denials of Russian interference in the 2016 election over the unanimous assessment of the American intelligence community.
Such a betrayal by a U.S. president would have been the unforgivable political sin in normal times.
As if that’s not enough, Trump declares his love for North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, a genuine villain who starves and enslaves his people and executes his enemies with antiaircraft guns and flamethrowers.
But he wrote the president a “beautiful letter.” Flattery will get you everywhere with this president, and that’s dangerous.
Domestically, the president’s signature issue — immigration — has moved in fits and starts. Happily, he abandoned pursuing an outright — and unconstitutional — ban on Muslims entering the U.S., opting instead to restrict travel for people from a handful of nations, most of them majority Muslim.
He’s tried separating families, sending troops to the border and declaring a national emergency. For all of that, illegal border crossings are, as the president himself calls it, at crisis levels.
He blames House Democrats because casting blame is Trump’s forte. But Republicans controlled the House and the Senate for two full years. That seemed like an ideal time to fix what the president believes ails our immigration laws.
Even with Democrats now controlling the House, where is Trump’s much-touted deal-making mojo, an attribute he campaigned on?
“But the economy!”
Yes, the market has done well since Trump’s election.
The S&P 500 was up about 21% between Trump’s inauguration and May 31 of his third year in office. Under President Obama, it was up about 56% in that same period.
Unemployment is headed down, as it was during seven straight years under Obama.
Wages are up, and that’s a welcome change. But GDP increases so far are no better than some periods under Obama. Deficit spending under Obama was far too high, in part because of the stimulus needed to dig out of the Great Recession. Under Trump, it’s still headed in the wrong direction, once again pushing $1 trillion even though the economy is healthy.
Trump seems to care nothing about the deficit and the national debt, which once breathed life into the Tea Party.
Through all of this, Trump’s base remains loyal. Sadly, the truest words Trump might ever have spoken was when he said he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose his supporters.
This non-endorsement isn’t defaulting to whomever the Democrats choose. This newspaper has a history of presidential appointments favoring Republicans starting in the mid-20th century. Except for Lyndon Johnson in 1964, the Sentinel backed Republican presidential nominees from 1952 through 2004, when we recommended John Kerry over another four years of George W. Bush.
As recently as 2012 we recommended Republican Mitt Romney because of what seemed at the time to be Obama’s failure to adequately manage the nation’s finances.
If — however unlikely — a Republican like Romney, now a senator from Utah, or former Ohio Gov. John Kasich successfully primaried the president, we would eagerly give them a look. Same if an independent candidate mounted a legitimate campaign.
We’d even consider backing Trump if, say, he found the proverbial cure for cancer or — about as likely — changed the essence of who he is (he won’t).
The nation must endure another 1½ years of Trump. But it needn’t suffer another four beyond that.

I did watch until I just couldln't anymore.. Turns out I ended up watching up all of it. Just when I was about to turn it off, it ended.
Essentially, he brought back all the oldies but goodies.. Hillary, the emails, Dem's are against him, Mueller, being Exonerated, his admin accomplished this, that and everything good and nothing bad. No mistakes were made, no lies were told.
He basically said he was the most honest person ever in the white house.
So, nothing new.. Nothing exciting.
That's time I'll never get back. it's lost forever.
I'm working on a huge discount for Trump supporters at the Cleveland Clinic and UH....These discounts can be used only for Labotomies. Ya'll need it.

I don't like the extreme left of any party - but other than a couple candidates, ANY democratic will be better than Trump. In every single way ... heck even the real "socialists" will be better than Trump.
The more things change the more they stay the same.
hey- I've been listening to Tim Ryan like you suggested. Sounds like he has his head screwed on straight. Talks like a fighter for working people. I like that. Hope he gets some more attention.

I heard him interviewed the other day - I've never heard of him previously but like you said, he talked a ton of sense, was prepared to push back when challenged and seemed 100% for the working man, working community.

some people just don't get it....Not you by the way....I love you Julie....I don't get it anymore.....things are pretty good right now yet some people want unemployment and a economy in the tank.
That buys votes from stupid people.

Dems could run pond scum this time and it would be a better candidate. You know that GM.
They ran pond scum last time and look what happened
You do know that most of the things said about Hillary weren't ever proven.. Now far be it from me to burst a right wing bubble, but at the end of the day, innocent until proven guilty.. same with Trump for that matter. The difference in my eye is that Hillary stood up in front of a republican run congress for 11 hours, didn't need to be forced to be there. She was asked and she showed up.
Now, look at trump, He hides, lies, stops his current and former staff from talking...
Under any other circumstances, like changing the names, who would appear guilty to you.
A. the person that shows up, sits for 11 hours of questioning by a hostile congress and never gets charged.
or
B. The one that won't show up, won't answer questions (other than a few on paper), won't allow his people to testify, blames everyone for all his problems, the one that tells us the media is our enemy (same thing Hitler and Stalin did by the way) and the one that just flat out lies constantly.
Who is the bad one here?
Just asking for a friend

I love when people make comments like the one Peen made.
Unemployment was going down and the stock market was on the rise for years when Obama was president.
I mean people can have their own opinions. Not their own facts.

I've posted on this site dozens of times - graphs of the DOW, unemployment etc - all are basically a straight line from Obama to Trump ... give Trump credit, he has't screwed it up yet ... but let's not act like he didn't inherit a healthy thriving economy. Anyone remember what Obama took over in 2008?

Some believe you should sell your soul in order to vote. That you should turn your back on everything you believe in just to make a statement.
Some of us consider our vote a thing of great value who will not just give it away to someone they feel is undeserving.
Although I am at the point where Trump has done so much to divide our nation and is such an embarrassment on the world stage that I'm pretty much in the "anyone but Trump" crowd. I've never done that before and always saw it the way you do.
That's why I'm one that certainly respects your comment on the matter.
It will be really, really hard if I'm forced to choose a far left liberal for president in the voting booth. But if it comes down to it, it may be the only legitimate choice I have.
I would be left with the comfort of knowing that pushing that agenda through the political process for the most part won't be successful.
