We have Plastation Vue (you don’t need a PS4), Netflix and Prime. I was thinking about flipping Vue for YouTube’s service, but Vue has been cool.
Hulu has live sports, but I haven’t looked into which ones.

I find Vue better than Youtube. I would have opted for Youtube until recently when they started charging as much as Vue and Vue offers much more. Youtube does not have the NFL channel.

We cut the cord 5 or so years ago now. No regrets. We have a digital antenna that allows us to get about 40-50 channels (most are terrible, but we get the main ones). We stream via Netflix and Prime and when I want to watch a sport game that is on ESPN or TNT I stream via Reddit. We watched the entire World Cup on Reddit or the Mexican channel, which my antenna picks up. All Browns games are shown at our local BB bar. Also, if you miss something on regular channels....they too are able to be streamed usually a week or so later.
The only thing...if you love something that HBO or Showtime make you often have to wait for them to be available for streaming and then you have to pay for the series. But, it all adds up to far less than cable ever was!
Just 40mbps internet and we pay under $50 a month.

So Vue gives you all their channels, plus sports, for $79/month? (and are there taxes and fees on top of that, or not?) That's what I ran into when deciding whether to stay with Dish ..... the priced aren't that far off for streaming. I am paying $84 for their 2nd highest package. (taxes and fees included) I also got their top equipment package. I have 10 movies and about 32 hours of TV recorded, and my DVR is only 1% full.

Roku has a crap ton of stuff to stream (as do most other contraptions).
Been a year and dont miss a thing. I do buy Netflix then give my daughter that for her Amazon password and another for Hulu. More stuff than a guy could watch in a lifetime. It was a nice 100+ dollar a month raise!

J/C
I have to toot my own horn. I have DirecTv for sunday ticket. I hate directv. Worst menu and guides out there, easily. However to be able to watch the browns each week, I put up with it.
Well anyways, I got a deal 1st 12 months I got 55/mo with sunday ticket for free, and then mo. 13-24 $105 a month for regular price. For signing up I got 400.00 Visa Gift Card. So the way I figured, I would cancel after month 12 and pay the 20.00/month left cancellation fee (240). With the gift card I was still making out.
About a month ago, I get an email saying my price was going up 10.00 a month. I got on a chat - explained to them what a CONTRACT was and that I am not allowed to pay a lower amount, they shouldn't be able to pay a higher amount. I told them to cancel my service and ill pay the fee.
To keep me, they gave me the promo price of 55.00 a month for months 13-24.
Then, I had another issue and the agent was extremely rude on the phone. I called back and said that's it, im going to cancel. They then said "no no no let us make it right". Long story short again, Im getting 25.00 bill credit for the next 12 months, and they are giving me Sunday ticket for half off this year. So my bill with sunday ticket will be about 55 a month after the credit.
SCORE!

I would want the sports, and that appears to be $10 extra over any package.
The problem I ran into while trying to rep[lace the dish is that I coule not duplicate the channels I watch regularly on any other format. I considered FUBO, but they are missing Disney/ESPN, and with the Browns appearing on MNF this year, that was a non-starter.
I never found the right service, at the right price, so I stayed with Dish and got a break on the price, plus $10/month for 10 months for referring my mom.

I pay the extra $10 in the fall to get the Red Zone channel w/the other sports channels but I never seem to watch those. So when football season is over I drop the extra.

They are typically more worried about the ones who are putting the streams on the service, not the ones watching it. There are millions of people using these now, the chances of getting busted are slim to none - but you probably should use one. do as I say not as I do. lol

I went through all of this only to find that most of the streams were of poor quality or frequently got interrupted/taken down while I was watching. Haven't bothered with the Firestick since; about two or three years now.

There are so many better ones now like HD Cinema, Terrirum etc. I can flip it on, get HD quality stream within 2 minutes. AS long as you have a decent internet download speeds - I very rarely have buffering (I would say 60-75 download speed min). A lot has changed in two or three years my friend.

I had the same experience as Purp using Kodi. For Browns games I could usually catch everything 5th play.

Yup, Kodi. Not sure if I'm up to bothering with doing another round of setup just to watch the Tribe and struggle or the Cavs do whatever it is they do these days. I'm all good for football, though, and that is what truly matters

Same with shows.
