If they go to 18 with a 16 max..
if have a thursday game or a london game. I'm using squad 2 for those games.

Peen I guess you got a lot of guys trying to make a team and they just go gung ho and they know the BIG HIT might get them some attention. Also there might be some late hits.
this is why most teams only play the starters a few series outside of game 3 which is starters vs starters and is more a warm up to the systems they are playing. There is not that over play of guys trying to make a team. Also you will have more players hiding an injury (No coach I'm good) and then they go back in and get a more serious injury.
Trying to make sense of the facts you presented. You will not eliminate injuries by eliminating preseason games and limiting training camp.
For the Starters they need to get into game condition or else they can seriously get injured.
Proper technique with hitting involved must be done in camp eliminating WORK and PREPARATION is not the answer. All we will see is more injuries and poor play.

It's funny, the NBA and MLB are in early discussions on reducing games and the NFL is trying to add games. It's funny the NBA and MLB are discussing reducing games from 162 per, and 80 some odd per, while the NFL is trying to add games to 16 per Regular season.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Eliminate one preseason game ... push the regular season back one week, which puts the super bowl on presient’s day
