What you don't seem to grasp is that time has changed the very definition of what "moderate" actually means. I consider myself a moderate because I'm not for everything being paid for by the tax payers. I believe a lot of money can be saved by stopping government waste and helping cut the costs of things like healthcare, education, prescription drugs and many other things.

I have always supported equality for everyone. I've always stood against the mass incarceration rates of blacks and latinos. I've always stood for equal education in all communities. I've always stood for gay rights.

Moderate doesn't mean what it used to. Just like Reagan republicans aren't what we're seeing in their party today.

I believe in individual liberty, individual freedoms, and capitalism. Capitalism is the most successful economic system ever devised and the United States is an example of that. If you don't like it you can leave it.

in 2018 Many African Countries were exhibiting GDP growth of 6.5% or more (US is 2.8%), I don't see anyone arguing to emulate African governments. Especially Libya which had 17.8% GDP growth.

What is your basis for trying to correlate GDP growth as a marker of socialist ideas? If your basis is that economic output goes away, then that's a horrible correlation. It's convenient to cherry pick UK's GDP growth (which was 1.3% not 0.5%) against the US's 2.8% in 2018. Especially if we ignore other "socialist dystopian" countries like Sweden (2.3%) Austria (2.7%), Ireland (6.8%) Poland (5.0%) Switzerland (2.5%) .

It's great that you can correlate GDP growth and economic health, but you aren't servicing other people with that knowledge if you spew FUD along with it.

I didn't cherry pick anything, you said "social democratic ideas from the UK poll well with most Americans" in your post that I was addressing... so I went with the UK, whose economy has been quite sluggish for a while now.... and my .5% wasn't for one year, it was about an average of the last 10 years, they have been fluctuating between about .2% and 1.5%.

It seems in 2012, omar called for the deportation of American citizens that didn't agree with the administration, and talib called for Trump's deportation in 2015 after he announced his plan to not allow immigration from known terrorist countries. How racist and unamerican of them. They should be kicked out of office or forced to resign. I will be expecting them to get a condemnation from the house any day now.
