Herman Moore looked like the most gifted WR in the game for a few years there.

I had left this thread alone, then reading through it now, I keep thinking of all those 3, and 4 guys.

All the years I watched all those spectacular drive continuing plays when games were on the line with guys that would be #3 or #4 guys.

I watched enough Bengals in 1997-1999 to realize a, just a really good WR duo doesn't mean a team will amount to squat anyway, Carl Pickens and Darnay Scott could play lights out in a loss, a losing day because the whole team didn't have a winning gameplan.

I can't even Hear about the Gr. Show on Turf, and not have some weird memories, I didn't even know who Qb, was until someone told me they had him on fantasy Football, Kurt Warner, and he was just going crazy,
but They had a really special RB on that team too,
And I saw something I wasn't seeing elsewhere, it was simple, whenever there was pocket pressure, Kurt Warner threw over the top, (swing for the fences),

Now, I had followed, ... about that year I had done a personal study of the entire nfls matchups like I hadn't before and got more knowledge of even that divisions matchups, which I never follow,... all that to say they had had a previous year of Bombs to Isaac Bruce being a thing of beauty;
anyhow, knowing the offensive explosion coming I took Az Zahir Hakim, and Ricky Proehl, the #3 and #4 options and got more fantasy points than, well than others expected.

Randy Moss, Randy Moss had an explosive rookie season, the Vikings almost made the SB, lost the championship game iirc, and he was the #3 option behind C Carter and someone else I forget.

Brian Brennan, was a #3 option on the Browns of the 1980's and he was maybe my favorite Brown back then, Kosar could always thread the needle to him in traffic and it was unbelieveable, and then it was again, like a magic trick you don't know how they keep doing it.

Don Bebe, ( Somebody named Bebe) on the Bills, was a #3 option that kept a ton of drives going, whenever they were against the wall, (Bamm, they got a completion to Bebe), it was just something you could come to expect.

I still have tape of "one" of the times the Browns beat the Steelers since 1999, and in that game, Dennis Northcutt, (people called him dropcut) , but he was a gamechanger.
Recovered the onside kick, made a couple other plays, I could say he really was the difference on the day, LOL who woulda thunk it.

The 1994 ish Bill Bellichic coached Cleveland Browns showed me, even if you have 4 guys that fit #1 WR mold, that you don't have too many.
Michael Jackson, Andre Rison, and Derrick Alexander, and Keenan McCardell was the young guy way down the depth chart
kind of like Derrick Willies type of depth chart spot for the current group,

..

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

They were pretty much unstoppable, and my favorite team to watch other than the Browns. If not for that wretched Red Right 88 loss to the Raiders, the 1980 Browns - an offensive juggernaut in their own right - would have played Fouts, Joiner, Winslow, et al, in the AFC Championship game. IIRC, that game would have been played in San Diego, and it would have been one of the most anticipated matchups in a very long time. Might have been one for the ages ...

WOW ... this has been a fun butt thread to read ... memory lane for an ole man ... this one made me smile as I had totally forgotten about JJ and Wes Chandler and Muncie and frickin James Brooks ... thumbsup

Thanks to all ... this has been a lot of fun for me .. thumbsup
