I am pulling for this young man.
I see potential. Like his attitude. I have always liked guys with his build at receiver. If they learn how to use their body they can be a tough cover. They will in most cases have an advantage in single coverage.

Seems like he is making his mark.

His catch and run set up our win against Ravens. I remember him for that. I think he'll make it, if not, he will get picked up by another team. Our wr room got very deep in 19 months or so.

I think he and Higgy will have good seasons ... it’s such a luxury for those guys to just focus on beating their ONE defender (and in a lot of cases, it’s the other teams’ worst DB)
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Boston is far to the left as KC settles into the slot. Fannin is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Sampson are split in the backfield as the ball is hiked ... Here we go."

My guess at who we keep (after going to TC):
OBJ, Landry, Higgins, Callaway, Willies and Strong.
Willies is a very big target. It isn't until you are right there near him at Training Camp that you realize just how big he and Pharoah Brown are!

Damon Shehee??? Guiseppi has a lock on the final spot due to special teams, I think he was brought to be the #1 return specialist, Just a guess.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I think the first 5 are safe here ... that 6th spot is the one in question. It’ll depend on ST’s most likely My guess at who we keep (after going to TC):

Yeah, if he isn’t a big addition to STs there’s no way he makes the squad Damon Shehee??? Guiseppi has a lock on the final spot due to special teams, I think he was brought to be the #1 return specialist, Just a guess.

Returning kicks at TC was Hilliard and D'Ernest Johnson. Fielding Punts was Callaway and Damon S-G. To be honest, I didn't see much of Damon or Hymen. Montgomery was in on plays a bit.

This dude is getting a lot of hype for a 5th receiver with like 8 catches in his career.

This dude is getting a lot of hype for a 5th receiver with like 8 catches in his career. He broke his collarbone at practice last season and was sidelined for the rest of the season. If it were not for his big catch against (Ravens?) we wouldn't have won that game. He is massive and provides a huge target for BM. All eyes will be on Landry and OBJ and maybe even Higgins. That opens up: Willies, Njoku, Brown. These last 3 are big dudes who will significantly help us get a 1st when needed or a red zone threat. His hype as a #4/5 WR is well deserved.

One thing I never expect to see at all, much less often at training camp is hymen. But I mean, it could happen.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Ratley is on the sidelines (injured) knowing his days w/the Browns are all but over.

I agree that Willies is an intriguing prospect. he certainly is ... I liked him immediately last year, and I think so did Baker

The more I see this kid, the more I think Callaway made a huge mistake coming to camp out of shape. Willies may push him and Higgins for playing time and rightfully so.

OBJ and vice grips are locks. Tough competition for roster spots between Willies, Higgins, Calloway, Strong. These guys would benefit from being good special teams players because if we keep 6 wr and one of the 6 is a return specialist then one of those guys doesn't make the team

Higgins is a lock. He catches everything, and does everything correctly. (as the coaches have noted)

Apparently Willie’s day wasn’t all sunshine and roses ...
He had a drop in the red zone and got a talking too after a pick ... meaning the oick was on him ...
U can’t “win” the day with drops and mental errors no matter how good a catch u make ...
Good luck tomorrow sir!!!!

Higgins is a lock. He catches everything, and does everything correctly. (as the coaches have noted) He has worked really hard to get to this stage. Of all the WRs Sashi signed in 2016 Higgins is the only one he nailed, but even he had to iron things out to get to this stage, but he was taken in round 5 so that is understandable. And, good on him for working and listening. On a side note, I saw that he has perfected his "Hollywood Walk of Fame" TD celebration. He did one at the Scrimmage and then him and Njoku were kidding around back on the sideline and at one point Njoku ran over and asked a photographer if he could borrow his camera and ran back w/camera to Higgins where he (Njoku) pretended to be paparazzi while Higgins did his Walk of Fame TD Celebration.

Higgins was one of my favorite players last year, and is someone who is easy to root for ... his hard work has paid off

This dude is getting a lot of hype for a 5th receiver with like 8 catches in his career. He is getting hype because WR's 1-4 are set and a non story. So the the story is the fight for position 5 and possible position 6. And there are at least 6 players that have legitimate shots at those spots. Willies actually had an up and down day. Mostly down. He was pretty hard on himself (as we expect many of these players to be) and he was able to comeback and make the play of the day or even the play of camp to this point. That won't give him the job. It will help...but the one play will not win him the job. You will hear often that the coaches are looking for guys to string together good practices. The guys who make the team are not the ones who make a good or great play here and there. But rather the guys who make the plays day after day. They want consistency...(another word we hear often) As we all know the top 4 spots are set. I really think they go to 6 spots. And you can make a case for a lot of guys. But in hearing the press conferences and interviews I am mostly looking at 3 guys and possibly a 4th. I think Jaelen(sp) Strong is a (if you can pardon the pun)STRONG candidate for the 5th spot. He has racked up multiple good practices and if you read closely, his performance in the Orange and Brown Scrimmage was not an anomaly. Derrick Willies has the size and speed you lust after. And he has been putting in a lot of good practices. The one guy I think we shouldn't sleep on. is Sheehy-Guiseppe. The reason I say this is because of his return ability. Right now, we have a bunch of guys we can use as a returner. The difference is that Sheehy is a guy who could excel at it. And when his name is the first to come up when talking to Odell and Jarvis as a guy we shouldn't sleep on...that is a big endorsement for me. They talk about how hard he works as well. I think he either makes this team specifically as a returner or is on the practice squad. But he won't make the team purely as a receiver. The 4th guy...is Hyman...but I think he is behind Strong and Willies... JMO

It's amazing how having an accurate QB can change the perspective on a team's receivers.
Knowing the ball will come their way if they get open probably doesn't hurt, either.

I don't know, I think Hyman is behind Montgomery. The Baker (WR) is also a name not to leave out of the mix and they have mentioned him multiple times as ascending in the unit, but I didn't see him at camp or the scrimmage. Maybe he is hurt? He may have been out there, but nothing went his way. Montgomery definitely had more throws his way than Hyman, but he was always with the back-up QBs. Return wise, RBs Hilliard and D'Ernest Johnson were returning the kicks at camp and Damon and another were fielding punts (don't remember who it was). But, remember, several have mentioned Landry and Callaway as potential returners as well, which if this is the case could decide the 5/6 WRs. If it were today I think Willies & Strong get the last 2 spots. Preseason should decide it and hopefully show obvious separation between these last few for the final 2 spots.

I didn't say we would cut him, I said he would be pushed for playing time. The immediate focus will be on the big two WRs. That will inevitable allow for Higgins, Njoku/Brown or WR #4 to be open (and this doesn't even put into consideration Chubb, Hunt or Duke/Hilliard in the flat). The options become limitless as long as our Oline give Baker time.

Well the sad story is Blake Jackson, who was having a GREAT camp and then all of a sudden I see us releasing him with an injury designation... Outside of his home roots, I haven't heard Dorian Baker's name a whole lot. Montgomery's name I have heard but only recently. Nothing though that tells me he is ahead nor behind Ish Hyman. I just have heard Hyman's name more often. In any case...I did mention that 5-6 people have a legit shot...LOL What I think I was alluding to with Sheehy is that while the ones you mentioned could do the job of returning....I don't think they can be special as a returner. I do however think Sheehy can be. And in that way...while being on the WR list...he really is a KR/PR and w WR secondarily at this point. So say Strong gets WR5...The decision is then do you stay with Willies who may not see the field...or with Sheehy and see if he blossoms as a returner (actually Preseason should tell if he can or cannot blossom) Any way you slice it...We are going to be dropping some good WR talent.....

Well, people keep telling me that the depth chart doesn't mean anything, BUT... Guisseppe isn't even listed on it as a returner at all, so despite what people are saying, I'm going to bet that this isn't the way he makes the roster, if he does.
In other words, if he isn't a better WR than Willies, he won't be here.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

At this point in time, before preseason etc. I think Willies sees the field as the #5 over Strong.
