Seems like the lefty Mayor of DAYTON did her political due diligence by not wanting the PRES. to got here . By the way who is the PRES. attacking in DAYTON .
No not at all, she just did her left due diligence in a nutshell IMO ,Oh and by the way the last pres didn't even know how many states there are if you want to play that stupid game. Answer my question who did he attack in DAYTON?
Let me explain something to you. There was a time not so long ago that Republicans wouldn't welcome a president that talks the way he does. A man who calls other nations "$#!+hole countries". That tells people they can shoot immigrants in the panhandle and that tells congresswomen to "go back to where they came from". Republicans used to be better than that.
So if you wish to talk about playing stupid, you have me beat.

I didn't remember Maxine doing that. Do you have a source for her quote?
She encouraged the public to continue harassing GOP officials in public places like restaurants. This was after a couple members of 45's cabinet/staff had been shamed in DC area eateries.
Perhaps some find this to be equivalent to "knock them the hell out; I'll cover your legal fees." I don't.
Why don't we discuss how the laws in Texas and Ohio are pretty easy when it comes to carrying a weapon yet no one shot back at the madmen during the attacks.
Why? Because both establishments were "No Gun Zones" which left the law abiding with their guns in their cars, their lives in the hands of the madmen.
The Dayton attack lasted like 30 seconds before cops got to the shooter.
Trump's term as POTUS has been marked by his supporters coming up with one false equivalency after another in defense of the indefensible. That and his supporters giving Trump all the kudos for many acheivements that Obama owns a large share of praise for, like the employment numbers for African Americans and the economy.

Anyone know anything about pharmaceuticals possibly being a factor in mass shootings? I read that most of the perpetrators had been taking some prescription medication or another. It was from a pro-gun source, so I'm slightly skeptical. It kind of makes sense, though. How many antidepressants list thoughts of suicide as a possible side effect? Or maybe mass shootings are what they have in mind when they list death as a possible complication. I wonder how that would play out in a court of law? Have pharmaceutical companies been tried for liability in a case like these?
You mess with the "Bull," you get the horns. Fiercely Independent.
But let's look at a few common sense things that we do have in common. First off, anyone who says that our forefathers could see into the future and comprehend that we would have semi automatic weapons with the capacity to fire thirty, fifty and even one hundred rounds without reloading is either fooling themselves or just flat out lying about that. There's no way they could have foreseen that.
I always chuckle about this. The 2nd amendment is not about rifles, or AR's, or handguns, or muskets, or magazines.
Its about restricting the governments ability to impose or take away.
There will always be someone fighting to take away the rights that are supposed to be protected by government. Government didn’t “give” these rights to Americans; they are only tasked to protect these rights.
Yeah you’re all good with lunatics who have hit and rape lists to be able to obtain and keep their guns, we know.

If they couldn't forsee that, then they must have not been paying attention.
The Puckel gun, patented in 1718, was capable of firing 9 rounds per minute by using pretty loaded cylinders. It was based off a Leonardo DaVinci drawing from 1481. That's 3 times faster that the firing rate of the average musket.
The Ferguson rifle was a breech loading flintlock that could fire 7 rounds per minute, 2 1/2 time faster than the musket. It was used by British troops against Americans in 1777, so I'm sure our founders were quite aware.
The Girandoni air rifle was an airgun designed by Tyrolian inventor Bartholomäus Girandoni circa 1779. The Girandoni air rifle was in service with the Austrian army from 1780 to around 1815. This rifle had a lethal combat range of 125 to 150 yards. It had the advantage of a high rate of fire, no smoke from propellants, and low muzzle report. It had a detachable magazine containing 19 rounds of ammunition. A single shot from the Girandoni could penetrate a one-inch wood plank, or take an elk.
Read more about how these weapons didn't exist and were not possible of being conceived here.
Even as an avid gun owner, I think it is essentially impossible to think we should not at least try to do something about this. Would a 30 day wait list stop someone? Maybe not, but it's worth an attempt. I would feel perfectly fine putting down a deposit on a fire arm, giving all my information and waiting 30 days to go pay for it and pick it up.
My point is, something needs to be done and you can't throw 2A in the trash. Once again both sides digging their heals in and not budging from absolutes is dumb. Especially from the progressive movement, BAN GUNS isn't progressive it's authoritative. A progressive movement by it's nature should be chipping away over time. Start with a waiting period, if it goes well, introduce a longer wait period, if that goes well introduce harder background checks, if that goes well.....
You see it with socialism, you see it with Abortion, you see it with gun control and green energy. In a vacuum, well intended ideas that could be passable if introduced in the right way. Instead, it goes straight to BAN ALL GUNS, you don't have to work if you don't want to! FLAUNT your abortions on television, WE ARE GOING TO ALL DIE IN 12 YEARS.

Your vehemence is getting in the way of your grasp of reality. It's probably kind of what happened with the shooter. He got going on one side of a subject and got carried away.
Let's try to rein things back in. Focusing on solutions instead of demonizing other people seems like a better way of avoiding a repeat.

My ok but was that your spewing hatred and blaming Trump and all cons (IMO) for the crazy mass shootings and I disagree with your analogy...So moving forward you said that Trump was at fault for these mass shootings for attacking certain groups of people so who are these people in DAYTON and EL PASO.

Lol vehemence...you focus on everything but the real culprit in all of this. . Keep up the distraction bro

everybody and they momma can come up with all the reasonings in the world, but all the mass shooters have one thing in common.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

He's attacked honesty. He's attacked decency. He has sent a message of dividion among the American people. The vast majority of people in El Paso are from Latino heritage. You wish to pretend that calling people, "rapists, murderers and animals" isn't attacking them? In 2017 he overturned a law that made it harder for mentally ill people to purchase forearms.
I never said these mass shooting were "Trump's fault". I said he fuels the hate that drives mass shootings. He enforces the feelings and emotions of already hateful people that may do such things. I've said that words trigger people. All you have to do is read your post to show just how true that is.

Actually my first response was to mgh888 not you but as usual you had to stick your TDS nose in it cause I must have triggered you with the TRUTH .
Let me tell you the truth. When people tell you facts about the lies and hate that Trump spews daily, the only thing you can say in response is that those who report what's going on must hate the man. Because you can't dispute those facts. That's all you got. And that's sad.

Yeah Clem, I knew what he was talking about. He claimed she called for violence and it was just another lie.
I do find it terrible and awful that she called for people to harass them. I certainly think that's wrong and I can't condone that. That's why I knew he couldn't back up his claims.

Pit, I would think that if nearly one quarter of mass shootings can be blamed on untreated mental illness.. that taking steps to stop that would be statistically significant and worth the effort... even if the article says it's "only" 22 percent..
The video game thing just needs to go away.. other countries have access to all the same games, yet just a very small fraction of the problem.
The root of the problem is hatred and division... and it's fueled each and every day from all directions.. This is as true now as it has ever been...
“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil–he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”
He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you–and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
I certainly agree with you. Anywhere we can help alleviate the problem we should certainly address it. My point was that every time something like this happens there seems to be a standard, one phrase answer to it all....... Mental illness.
And that certainly doesn't describe the depth of what's going on here.
I also find it worth noting that when a certain sector of politics tends to blame it all on mental illness, why you would overturn a law that helps prevent mentally ill people from purchasing firearms.
Trump made it easier for the mentally ill to get guns when he rolled back Obama regulation
It's time to admit that many of these mass shootings are centered around hate and not mental illness.
People need to stop pretending that when the leader of the free world is calling people "invaders" and "animals" it doesn't fuel the fire of the actions we are seeing. When that same leader replies to someone saying "Shoot them!" by saying, "You can only do that in the panhandle", that the things he says does and will embolden people with that type of belief system.
You fail to mention the hate surrounding those who have called that very same leader of the free world a traitor, Hitler, Putin's stooge and more.Trump is a traitor... he IS owned by Putin
You fail to mention the hate surrounding those who have called the leader of the free world's followers, those who voted for him, Deplorables, Idiots, Nazi's, KKK and more.If he'd quit acting like a moron, he'd get less hate. but that's on him.
You failed to mention the hate involved in Main Stream Media reporting 97+ percent negative news on our President while completely ignoring the good things accomplished. Are you suggesting that we just accept what he and FOX say and let it go at that.. MSM isn't doing anything that FOX and Trump didn't do to Obama and Hillary. Most of what she was accused of has turned out to be fake,, most of that came from FOX and Trump and Trump minions such as yourself
You failed to mention the hate surrounding the pushing of false conspiracy accusations against our President. The accusations of Racism against him and his supporters who point out anything negative about conditions in a minority run district.Obama was born in Kenya, Hillary ran a brothel out of a DC pizza shop basement, Sandy Hook never happened.. Any of those sound familiar to you,, It was your boy that pushed those theories along with FOX and of course Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh and Trump Minions and Hate GROUPS like the KKK, American Nazi Party and the rest of the Alt Right
You also failed to mention the assault of words perpetrated on our Christian communities for standing by their beliefs in the face of political correctness. Some evangelicals are saying trump is a savior, he's godlike, he's a great leader,,, and you wonder why they people assault them verbally, At least nobody that Opposes trump has attacked and killed innocent evangelicals now have they
You fail to mention a lot that is not on your personal agenda.Pot meet Kettle...
Hate has no home here!
Tell trump that.. he's the biggest hate monger on the planet... and you just wanna give him a big wet kiss don't you.... Yikes.

Listening to Biden speak right now .... he's actually attacking this in a very constructive way. Yes he's attacking Trump - but using and reciting his words and actions. First time I have seen/heard much of him. From the little I saw of the debates - I think I prefer others, but here he is sounding and coming across well.
The more things change the more they stay the same.
He's not my first choice as the democratic nominee. But they could do a lot worse and he's not on a the fringe. I think he could beat Trump and in the end i think that's what most people want.
You're right. I'm listening to him and he's stating a very powerful message.

The rhetoric on both sides need to stop. It does not help anyone. It does not change any minds. But, it does effect the mentally deranged in the Country. Both sides are to blame. The media CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, all of them are to blame.
There was a topic a few weeks back about how can you support Trump's send them back comments. I said it was wrong. I do not like attacking someone personally. Attack their position. Attack their policy. Not them personally.
I do not like President Trump's tweets and many of his comments. His rhetoric is not very Presidential. He attacks his oppositions personally and not their policies. I do like many of his policies. I believe he has been a very effective President. The economy is proof of that to me.
I have no problem when people disagree. That is their right. Disagree. Make an argument. The problem I see is the rhetoric that opposition leaders and the media use to disagree. They attack President Trump and his supporters personally and not the just the policies.
We are Americans. White, Black, Brown, whatever race. Whatever gender, whatever religion. We are not going to agree on everything. Sometimes not on much but we should always be respectful of the other's right to have an opinion.
I feel we are all somewhat to blame for what is happening in the country since Columbine (1999). The rhetoric on both sides are growing harsher every year. It must stop. But, sadly watching the nightly news it does not look like it will any time soon.

Dude until we all completely reject this pos president in all regards we are part of the problem.

I can't in all good faith watch the leader of the free world spread hate and division across our country and call him a good president.
The economy and job growth was doing pretty well when he came into office. They just had to pass a spending bill to increase government spending by 320 billion dollars that was supposed to be brought in by the tax cuts. That didn't happen.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the Dems are any better about that. But robbing from Peter to pay Paul isn't some economic brilliance.
