And this is why I will never purchase a player's jersey until they are retired and proven to be good. I own a Kosar and Newsome jersey. They will never be a bad purchase.

Spending $75+ on a jersey and having a collection of useless ones makes no sense to me. It just doesn't work, esp in today's game where players jump ship whenever possible. Add in the busts, ala Frye, and you really don't have a chance at keeping that jersey for long.

Couch, Green, Garcia.

But I can get some mileage out of the Green jersey now...I taped "J. Lewis" on the back of it.

I saw a custom #80 that said "Soldier" on the back the other day...thought it was pretty cool.

Why not buy a jersey with the sewn-on letters instead....that way you can have them removed and replaced with something else...such as "Browns" or even your own name.

I can't get over the fact that I still see Kordell and Maddox jerseys every now and then.

I once owned a Tom Cousineau jersey. (Great choice.)

I've also owned Sipe, Logan, G. Pruitt, Kosar, M.D. Perry, E. Turner, and T. Couch.

My next one will either have my own name on it or Kosar.

I have an Orange Edwards jersey.....if he keeps playing like he did on Sunday, it'll be obsolete soon.

Other than that, I have a Kosar and Jim Brown. And two 'Punchsmack' jersey's too.

Had a Kosar jersy in the 4th grade about 20 years ago. Never thought anyone was worthy to buy a jersey until Winslow. And I had to wait 3 years to even wear that one proudly

I only buy the brown jersies.

I like the new shade of brown they're using, but the brown jersies don't go with everything. The white's look better with jeans than the brown's. Same with the orange.

I only have a Winslow Jersey (Brown)

If I move up to Cleveland, I'll probably get HurricaneDawg jersey. He'll always be on the team.

Or maybe I'll get a Dorsey jersey.

Bought a Jim Brown # 32 replica jersey online, and returned it because it had Brown's name on it.... Brown played before the NFL put names on the backs of jerseys. A true replica would not have had his name on it..... and the thing came in brown.... The only time Brown wore a brown jersey was when Cleveland played Dallas, in Dallas.... a home fan would only see a brown jersey on TV....

I am another one who will never understand why people buy current player jerseys. It really doesn't make sense in todays NFL.

I won a Couch jersey once at the bar we go to...washed it and the jersey shrunk leaving the numbers wrinkled.

I saw a store selling a William Green jersey for $75, the same price as all of the others. I have only had one jersey, Winslow. My mom is currently trying to find a Thomas jersey for a good price. Which is hard since most people around here are:
A:
Bandwagon riders
B: Bengals fans (basically same as A)
C: Don't care about the NFL
D: Hate the Browns

or you can be smarter about buying jerseys...

don't take guys who haven't proven anything yet...

wimbley? will probably be a brown for a long time, you can definitely buy a wimbley jersey...

eric wright? all signs are good, but you may want to wait a year, or two...

winslow? a jersey you can get...

joe thomas? you can wear that jersey for years and years

Courtney Brown

A story to share in relation to this topic:

A few years ago, I wanted to show my appreciation to a couple of great guys that helped me out immensely on the original DT board on the awffishul site as mods. I knew that Browns gear of some kind would be just the ticket, but what could it be?

I asked the website admin at the time if she could swing a couple of game jerseys for me. I was told that the players generally give those away on their own, and they are hard to get them to come off of, but she said she would spring for a couple of authentic jerseys on the Browns' tab. She asked who and I said Courtney Brown, as he was sure to be a beast and a long time Brown. On top of that, I had them get #92 to autograph them.

As everyone knows, the rest is history. I wonder what drawer or closet or yard sale those jerseys ended up in?

I bought a #31 Green jersey a few years ago.....that jersey is now laying around in a storage basket, that was not a smart decision!

Hopefully my Wimbley jersey is a keeper...............I have a feeling it will be for a long time!
