Old thread locked ... the last post piggybacked below:

Odorizzi today and Berrios tomorrow are going to be a very tough task for the Featherheads. Both pitch really well against us, plus they are going up against the tail-enders of our makeshift rotation, Plutko and Civale. If we get out of Minnesota having won 3 of 4 it will be a major success. A split would be no disgrace, under the circs.

Odorizzi is one of the more underrated pitcher .. tall task today

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Man, the Indians have 8 hits, (including 3 doubles and a HR) and 4 walks through 8 innings .... and have 1 run. crazy

A loss to the twins, but a win Sunday is still a great weekend

It's great to be in this position going into game #4 of this series.

Regardless, taking 2 out of 4 @ Minnesota is a victory.

But don't look now, next ten games:

(the Mets are the hottest team in baseball right now 9-1 in last ten games (along with Oakland))

The Red Sox series is just as big as this one

So, Civale pitches this afternoon.

He's probably the only pitcher in history whose Career ERA and WHIP are equal and below 1.00. (Both = .75)

That would pretty much make him the greatest athlete in any sport of all-time.

Well, except for the only 12 innings pitched part.

But hey.

we seem to leave alot on base regularly.. looks like we struggle with situational hitting. Perfect example is Greg Allen. Bases load is almost a guarantee he's going to kill the drive. O-the season with bases loaded. Just now bases loaded and he hits a weak liner to second after swinging on a pitch in the dirt. Not sure why you don't pinch for him there. On another note...Who's this Civale? Never heard of him and he has some good stuff

Went into Minny 2 games back, and leave tied for the lead in the AL Central. We really wasted a chance yesterday. We, legitimately, could have left today up 2.

Of course they are. On the road and 10 games behind us in the standings.

I have a hard time rooting for any Boston team, even if they were in a round robin with Al Qaeda and ISIS.

Currently I live in Reno. I pay for the MLB package so I can watch the Tribe and the Braves.

When the season began I watched the Tribe and after a few months I gave up. I thought their lineup was horrible.

So I concentrated on the Braves. After the All Star break I started catching a few games.

Now I am back on them. Incredible that they chased the Twins down. Tip of the hat to Terry and the changes made.

Ramirez is playing like Ramirez. More production from other positions. The pitching has been stellar.

They are in it. Anything can happen now.

Walk-off homer by Santana in the bottom of the 9th
Tribe - 6
Bosox - 5

Comes after hand gives up the tying run in the top of 9

Am I perfect? No
