I stay away from predictions because I am absolutely awful at them. But man, if some of you guys are right and we win big, I'm not sure I'll know what to do with myself. Seriously, this will be totally uncharted water.
But I'm willing to learn!

All I'll say about this game is that I expect us to win ...... but man, I don't see it being a 20 point blowout. We have a lot of new moving pieces to get set in place.

And wins of 20 points or more are relatively rare. Even when we were at our worst, we didn't lose that many games by 20. And Tennessee is nowhere near us at our worst. That being said, we could still win by 10 but it not be a very close game. Or we could win by 10 but it still really feel like a close one. At the end of the day, whether we win by 1 or 100, the key is the W. An ugly W is much better than a pretty L.

JC...
I think it will be closer than we think...
I think it will take us awhile to find our groove, and Baker will force some stuff and throw a couple picks. Tennessee may have one of the more talented secondaries (Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, Adoree Jackson, Kevin Byard, Kenny Vaccarro) And DT Jarrell Casey may be the most underrated player of the past decade...that guy is amazing flat out. I do worry about them applying pressure on a constant basis.
While I expect us to win, and with Taylor Lewan out...Dennis Kelly is going to get eaten alive.
Should be a fun game, I just think we will be rusty on the O...But I still see us winning.

The last Home Opener the Browns won was 2015 against the Titans... 28-14. Then only won 2 more games that season..
I look for a solid win 31 17 with many more wins coming along this season.

How about the last opening game win? IIRC, it was against Baltimore in 2004 when we had Jeff Garcia

I see a lot of people predicting a score for us in the high 20s or 30s ... if we score that much on the Titans I’ll be very encouraged. Their D is very stout. I think a win would have to be somewhere around 23-20 or something (over under is like 45 last I checked)

Our defense dominates, Browns win by 11. Agreed. Our offense might start slow, but we pull away and prevail 23-10...

I’m guessing it’ll be a close game.
I think the Titans are a well-coached team. On offense, I expect them to exploit some favorable matchups. The full complement of Tennessee’s running game and Delanie Walker could be successful staples against Cleveland. I don’t trust the Browns’ run-stopping ability yet and I’m worried about the gameplan for Mariota’s favorite target in Walker. I’m eager to see the coverages that Wilks utilizes in live situations.
On the other side of the ball, defensive coordinator Dean Pees draws up a lot of creative coverages that can confuse even the best quarterbacks. I’m especially worried about that given the extra time to prepare for Week 1 opponents.
That said, I think the Browns have the personnel advantage. I expect the defense to disrupt Mariota on third down and in the red zone. The depth of Cleveland’s pass rush should force Mariota outside of his more conservative comfort zone. And, while I think the offense will be a work-in-progress at the start of the season, I think they make enough plays in the fourth quarter to snap the winless streak in season openers.
Titans 19, Browns 24
As far as statistics, I’ll guess:
Mayfield: 20-for-32, 266 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Chubb: 22 rushes, 77 yards, 1 TD
Beckham: 6 receptions, 91 yards, 1 TD
Browns D: 4 sacks, 1 strip sack
Seibert: 1/2 FG, 3/3 XP.

You skim threads a lot, so maybe you missed the numerous times Vers gave Baker props, as a leader, as a player, a QB.
Vers has also stated he doesn't like Baker the person very much (props to him for honesty. By your own admission with regard to other Browns players, if Baker failed and got shipped off, you'd come on and say you knew all along it might happen but wanted to support him)
I don't think he wants Mayfirld to fail. Why?
because he wants the Browns to win.
