I am pretty psyched to be making the road-trip down to Blacksburg for the Ohio vs Virginia Tech game this Saturday! Win or lose, it'll be a fun trip. (of course, even more fun if we win!)

The game is being broadcast through ESPN360 online. (Which isn't available through TW/Roadrunner) Students at OU are able to watch the game streaming live for free through an agreement betwen ESPN and the schools. You must be connected through a university IP address. You can find details and a link through the ohiobobcats website!

Shoot, I'm off campus.

Oh well, Saturdays usually = Bucks for me anyway. MAC football really doesn't do it for me...only games worth going to were the MAC East championship and OU/Pitt (AMAZING...only time Peden felt like a real college stadium)

You'll like Blacksburg if you've never been there.. it's a beautiful scenic place... Great old style stone buildings on campus.... nice small town feel with some great bars to hang out... good stadium too..

I'm down in Roanoke now (about 30 miles north of Blacksburg), but am leaving tonight. Blacksburg is a great college town, you'll enjoy it.

A friend of mine here had an extra ticket for the game but I have got to get home tonight - I would have loved wearing my Bobcat gear to the game.

Have fun!

Just a thought...

I'd do just about anything for OU to be the 12th team in the Big Ten. That's the one thing this school's missing now that a CHIPOTLE is going up on Court Street!

This place literally has everything else except good football, and we're such a party school that Big Ten football would be off the charts. The school is big enough, the only question is if the town itself could handle it...plus a bigger stadium would have to be built.

Much bigger stadium. An airport capable of handling 747s, or regularly scheduled airlines, as well as more hotel/motels to handle out of town visitors....

There's more to college football than National Rankings. I know it's impossible to tell OSU fans this, but an OU student should understand the idea.... If you want to worship at the "Giant Horseshoe" go to Ohio State. If not go to one of the other State Universities.

My fondest memories of OU Athletics involved Ohio State. An OU - OSU Club Hockey Game at "The Byrd..." A friend of mine on the hockey team said the OSU players couldn't understand the hostility of Ohioans to a Buckeye team.... Give me a freaking break... LOL....

An OU - OSU Basketball game at St. John Arena.... The confusion on The Ohio State University's Cheerleaders faces when everyone in Green and White cheered the O-H-I-O Cheer...only to be followed by OU Cheerleaders, wearing Green and White, doing the exact same cheer.... You see... the O-H-I-O cheer doesn't say STATE, only OHIO.... It works fine against Michigan, but doesn't work as well against OHIO. There is only one OHIO. The other OHIO is Ohio State.... The OU cheerleaders did the cheer all night. OSU only did it once.... The Buckeye fans bitched about it all night long.... As far as I know, the two schools haven't played basketball since... hehe

Needless to say, I'm an OU alumnus
