Our last MNF game was the game against the Ravens where the blocked our field goal and returned it for a touchdown to win the game. That was 2015. Our head coach was Mike Pettine.
lets hope being on the road cause help the team focus. hopefully we run the ball more, and our defense wakes up.
but i can certainly see another short FG kick returned for a TD. we are still the browns, until proven otherwise.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
I watched most of the Jets game on the plane because that was my only option. They won the turnover battle 4-1 and still lost. Their offense wasn't very good. Darnold was indecisive and inaccurate. And the 4 turnovers, only 1 of them was "forced" the others were giveaways.
I know the immediate comeback when I say "The Jets weren't very good" is, well neither were we... and that's true but the Jets weren't very good.
It’ll probably be a low scoring game. I said that last time and was only half correct ... I didn’t count on us giving up 43.
They’re without a good TE threat, but Bell is of course a huge factor.
Jamal Adams is the real deal so Baker has to be wary too.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
Run Chubb, Run Chubb, Play Action, Run Chubb, Run Chubb, Run Chubb, OBJ Deep, Run Chubb, Run Chubb, Run Chubb, repeat
and when things get dicey and they don't know what to do?
run chubb some more!

Ah yes, I remember that. The game announcer yelled out "Unbelievable!" and I was like, "What are you talking about? This is the Browns, that was totally believe-able"
Ok, we got our loss for the year behind us now, time to kick some arse.

If these guys cannot come correctly for this game after taking the beating they did - mostly of their own doing - and heading into MNF, then they are on their way to being a lost cause.
And no, I do not feel it hyperbolic to say "lost cause". They imploded in a way that we've not seen any other Browns team do - and that is saying a LOT, but they did it after an offseason of acquiring more talent and expectations than we've seen in decades and in the most anticipated Home Opener since The Return... and now they head into MNF.
Time to get your Minds Right!
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
I tend to agree. I realize it’s very early, we have new guys and systems, etc ... but we laid an absolute EGG on Sunday. We have talent. We have hype. It’s supposed to be OUR TIME.
If we can’t show up Monday and right the ship then we’re in trouble

This was written last September and I didn't look up last year's results, but this is connected to what you are saying:
Quote:
Since 2007, 91 teams have started 0-2. Only 10 (10.9 percent) of them turned it around to make the playoffs and one of those (the 2008 Chargers) made it with an 8-8 record.

Also with the news that ATT might be dropping ESPN by this weekend
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne
So....what happens if we lose to a no Darnold or bell jets team?

He’s probably correct and I’m sure it’s a well-known fact in league circles ... let’s not forget, that whatever OBJ says is going to make headlines.
As we’ve all said, if we win games none of it will get blown up ... we keep losing? It’ll be a nightmare

I wouldn't say "season is over" because there's still 14 games left after that, but generally teams that start 0-2, especially if losing to a bad team with a backup QB on a national stage, are donezo.
So if we lose I'd say our chances at playoffs drop from 25% to 2% at best.
I don't see us losing to the Jets. I'm not the most positive fan in the world, but it seems like we go from bragging and on top of the world to dismay and gloom and doom in the blink of an eye.
Yeah, I’m certainly a more negative fan ... but this SHOULD be a win.
UNLESS, the old TO’s and penalties and poor play calling rear their heads again

Oh, c'mon now! What are the chances that could happen with all the bad things coming together in one single game? That would be a real stretch.
Oh, yeah . . .
