We have three tight ends currently on the roster. That is enough bodies. Whether they are talented enough or not is the question. My guess is that we see a lot more Ricky Seals-Jones. I think he is the most talented non-Njoku tight end on the roster.

If I were a Ram fan I'd be uneasy about Gurley with that arthritic knee. Their backs have split about 50/50 duties I think, so I know the Rams are keeping him on a "pitch count."

Not really, they are 7th I believe in rushing with 140 a game (given only a 2 game sample), but they still rush the ball VERY well.

At least Justin McCray will have had a full week of practice instead of being forced into action with less than a week with the team.

With that said, losing a starter is never good.

I really hope randall can return

The #Browns  starting LB Christian Kirksey is out this week as the team tries to figure this out.

He has a chest injury that might require surgery.

#Browns  Christian Kirksey has a potentially serious chest injury that might require surgery. Conferring with docs to determine best course of action

Tries to figure what out?

Losing Kirksey is a big blow, IMO.

He's been playing great.

It's not ideal to have a rookie linebacker playing a ton of snaps against McVay's offense.

Sounds like a potentially torn pec. That's not good, at all.

Greedy and Ward added to the injury report. We might be able to afford losing one of those guys but not both.

If that's what it is then he has likely played his last game with the team.

Hopefully Wilson is ready.

Man, being this injured is not good when hitting the hard part of our schedule.

What is odd is that we’ve had a few guys suddenly show up on Thursday with injuries

Kirksey is the star that almost was. Dude is pure glass. Sucks but he won’t be here after this year.so does that mean we could see takitaki and Wilson

I think this is what happens when you have a cupcake camp and sit preseason. Once it’s live you get injuries because you aren’t used to the speed and physicality

I thought camp was the opposite of cupcake. Pads nearly every day.

A big deal was made about this.

Am I missing something?

Cupcake camp??? Are you out of your mind?

We probably spent more time in pads than any other team in the NFL this preseason.

I think the truth is in between. I think lead is wrong, but I think most of the tough camp thing was talk from Freddie. Meanwhile, a ton of guys didn't practice. Especially our vets like OBJ, Richardson, Vernon, etc.

Ohh they were in pads... so? They weren’t doing anything game speed. Majority of first and second teams didn’t play but a couple series all preseason

If you want to complain that the 1st team didn't play that much in the pre-season, well, that's legitimate. (though guys like OBJ and Landry, and others were nursing injuries that kept them out almost all pre-season)

Teams are only allowed so many full contact practices by virtue of the latest CBA. No one can practice more full contact than any other team ..... unless they want to risk losing draft picks.

Freddie did keep players beyond the scheduled end times in practices because of mistakes and such.

We spent more days in pads then most teams, and yes, it is hotter, heavier, and makes practices harder than playing in shorts. (even if it's not a contact practice)

Getting back to the topic... there are way too many popping into the injury report late in the week. This is weird and worrisome. My Spidey sense is tingling.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I don't think Freddie was consistent. Some players were held accountable. Others sat. He made them run some times, but didn't make them run after we started fights against Indy when we scrimmaged them.

Believe me, players recognize such inconsistencies. It's hard for a coach to earn respect from players and it's easy to lose it. Take a look at Freddie's victory speech last week and compare that to Hue's vs Baltimore last year.

Other than Baker and Randall, I have a hard time believing the rest of the team are happy about the change.

My mind is jumping to worst-case, illogical conclusions. Hopefully it's just a coincidence, and not anything wrong with the way practices are run, or the team's morale.

I don't think so. Watch the vids of Freddie's victory speech and then watch the one w/Hue when we beat the Ravens last year. Listen to the words of Joe Thomas, Kirksey, Charles, etc, etc.

Now, don't get me wrong. I have no problem w/Hue being gone. I don't agree w/the masses about why he was bad, but I don't want to get into that crap because the dudes who argue against him are unreasonable. But, I thought he had a couple of huge flaws.

1. He talked too damn much. Got himself into trouble w/his big mouth.

2. Was too friendly w/the players and the team lacked discipline.

I have no problem w/him being good, but I think Freddie was hired because Baker disliked Hue and he likes Freddie. I doubt the other players share that sentiment.
