Yeah, I understand protecting the QB, but they are football players as well. Heck, many today are dual threat types, and get hit as a runner .... and that might be more dangerous.

I think all of the Browns players agreed with Jamal, including Baker.

I agree w/you guys ... it’s to the point that nobody really knows what’s a hold, roughing, etc
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Maybe they should just go to two Hand touch

I think all of the Browns players agreed with Jamal, including Baker. I wasn't bad-mouthing the Browns or Baker. It was just a really bad call. I think the worst part of the roughing calls on QBs are how inconsistent they are. I was watching a show this morning while working out and they showed Adams push on Baker and then showed the play where Chris Jones injured Foles. He picked Foles up and pile drived him w/all is weight on top of him. Adams got called for a penalty and was fined. Jones was not penalized or fined. It's crazy how often this stuff occurs.

The whole body weight rule needs to go away. It's gotten ridiculous. They should just make the QB two hand touch. Like, you can still shove them or run into them with shoulder, but no need to wrap/bring them down. As soon as contact is made, whistle is blown. Then players won't feel the need to fall on top of them to secure the tackle.

Mariota is very ordinary.
The Titans are getting screwed by the refs.

With all these penalties, it’s reminds me of watching a college basketball’s last minute of the game. No flow, constantly stopping and it feels like a different game. Baseball has more flow than this (ok, maybe that’s an exaggeration).
I was against the PI challenging. I think all challenges should be penalized 15 yards instead of a timeout. The replay stops the game and provides rest (or a break in the momentum). Hurt then with yardage and a first down if a challenge fails.

We gifted them a gajillion penalties which kept their offense alive and further stifled ours (on top of not getting into a groove at all on O). D got tired. Game was close until very late, and then the wheels came off. Score was close most of the game.
Judging by the game tonight, we just never elevated our game to where it should've been. Game was close until the 4th, though.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

How about Adams getting fined for pushing Baker. He went off on social media about it and I don't blame him.
But man, the dude for the Texans got screwed. He took his arms off of the dude. That was a terrible call. He had a late hit on Baker and on OBJ. Then Garrett took out their QB, and we didnt hear from Adams dumb ass again. He can suck it.

During the draft I singled Gardner out as a guy who I liked.
It is interesting seeing him get this chance.
He seemed like heads up player and leader who was accurate.
Not a huge arm but I liked his game.

Tennesee should have kicked the field goal instead of gambling on 4th and six.
Even if it had worked it was unwise.
I was flummoxed with that decision. Early in the third, with your D settling in, you make it 14-3 and gain a little momentum.

Titans peaked week 1 against us lol (or we pushed them up the peak)

J/c..have any of you played much attention to the Titans? This is like what they do, ball out a game and then lay some eggs...that's how they seem to consistently finish like 9-7 every year.
Admittedly they got the bad end of the ref stick this game, the officiating seems to be at an all time bad level this year though. These roughing the QB calls are so inconsistent and I won't even comment on all of the holding calls
