How does a league celebrating its 100th season only recognize the 53 most recent championships?

Maybe Freddie is taking a "Belichickian" approach to over-reporting injuries? If a lot of these "questionables" end up playing Sunday, that's what I'm going to think.

Glad he won’t need surgery but... He’s a player that could least afford this type of setback. A gifted athlete that hasn’t really shown himself as a great TE. There were many holes in his game he needed to shore up this season. I’m not sure he’ll have the time. If I’m Dorsey I’m looking for his replacement in 2020’s draft.

I agree about the TE position ... it needs a re-tooling to provide Baker with the safety valve (aka Witten, Heath, etc) AND it needs better blocking depth

What the Hell is going on in Berea??!!!??
I began saying this on the old board when LeCharles went down on Day One of training camp. I've been repeating it through K2's motorcycle/staph cluster, starting our 3rd string QB in Week 5, the and almost 20 years of front office dysfunction... Over and over I've said this, and it's never been considered. It's never even been commented on. "Why doesn't someone test the groundwater in Berea?"

After Njoku our tight ends SUCK!
Is Hubbard out? And for that matter, Njoku isn't all that good. We might be better off with him out and just going with the blocking guys. Get a back in to the passing gameplan. Valid point, I'm interested to see what RSJ can do with an opportunity at some serious touches. He had a lot of hype last year with Arizona (in the fantasy world) but it never materialized on a crappy roster. So hopefully he can bring us something useful in the passing game.

This is the exact opposite of no injuries .... Were making up for last years lack of injuries very rapidly ... This is not good ...

I didn’t think so .... we had no more than most ... i’d say we were below average in the number of injuries last year .....
And none were to the key positions like this year .... sheesh bro ... our entire starting secondary might be out ...
The sad part dawg ... as bad as Hubbard is we can’t afford to lose him cause his back up is so bad cause the 2nd team swing tackles all ready out ...
This will be our 3rd game and if Hubbard doesn’t suit up we will have had our starting tackles having played as much time as our 3rd stringers ....
And if Hubbard does suit up how bad is he going to be at less than 100% ...
Neither scenario comforts me .... *L* ....

I agree about Hubbard. He’s below average, but AT LEAST he’s some resistance. We need him to play

I think at one point we had kirksey, schobert, and Mitchell out at the same time.
Ward was concussed. And we had injuries on offense last year.
It’s yet another season of us banged up.

What gets me is that the way they are showing up late in the week many appear to be mostly self inflicted during practice!
Your feelings and opinions do not add up to facts.

Well they just shut down Kirksey for the year (IR)...damn, the sky is falling everywhere right now.
Whole secondary is doubtful or questionable...starting TE is out for q couple months, Oline is still a mess...and who knows if Higgins will be able to play.

Every team deals with injuries. Good teams find a way to game plan around it. If we're moving in the right direction, we will find a way to deal with this. Yeah, it's not ideal by any stretch. And it hurts when you lose starters, no doubt.
But let's not pretend that we're the only team that has injuries. I think the Eagles are starting Doug Pederson's dog at WR.
So either we whine and make excuses about it, or we deal with it and move on.
Oh, and if the Rams win on Sunday, I'm looking forward to the media and fans saying it wasn't really that impressive of a win because we had so many guys hurt.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

That list of injuries after two weeks is just absurd

Reading only from this board, a person could get the idea that a team can place 30 folks on IR, (for the season,)
but no worries because 29 of them might come back after week #10,
Only one player is eligible to come back after being placed on injured reserve, and it used to be zero.
Bringing back all the players in a position group, to your team, from the year before, is a thing that helps because,
How can anyone think the team has a real grasp of best football usage of this player, considering, The number one option at TE is looking like Ricky-Seals-John(s),
And his time on the Browns can be measured in days, (not even months or weeks, but days), what is it 27 days or so for your #1 TE, not even around for preseason week #3.
This kinda thing effects winning percentage, But!
nobody, or, too many seem happy when they continue to do it.
" Keep the team together." Did I say that 17 years ago,
You know what I'm going to start saying now, " Stop listening to New York."
When it comes to making decisions on your football team, and what's going to get you where the wins are, Stop listening to New York, because they don't have your teams best interest in mind.

Actually they can bring back two players from injured reserve.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Most of these people are questionable. So they may play tomorrow. Or at least, likely next week. Its not a total horror show yet.

It sounds like his is more serious than Njoku’s

At least these injuries are happening early in the year so we can potentially get these guys back with some games left.

He's essentially the TE version of Greg Little... Looks the part.. but inconsistent as heck. I was/am hopeful though that he can produce, as his stats did improve year 2.

That just sucks. Guy is a real leader for this team. I hope I'm wrong, but I wonder if he's played his last game in a Browns uniform. Hurt last year, hurt this year. Again, I hope I'm wrong. I like him.

It seems to me that "questionable" guys generally play.
