Well, it still looks like our entire secondary is out.
Ward, Greedy, Redwine, Burnett were all DNP on Wednesday.

Randall was Full Participation, at least.

Injury report is still WAY too large for this early in the season.

Thankfully, their secondary is looking a bit banged up, too.

Doesn't look good does it? Expect greedy and ward to be out atleast one or two more weeks. Hamstring injury will linger and li ger

Anyone else worried that our #4 pick can’t stay on the field?

After the way the back ups played against the Rams, a team far better than Baltimore, I'm not worried.

I got a feeling Wilson is going to shine in this game, and with Randall on the backend, we won't have guys running free like we did with Whitehead.

A little.

However, I am more worried about three other things:

--Our QB has a big mouth and is a one-read, system qb.

--Our HC has a big mouth and got the job because our qb likes him and he might very well be in way over his head.

--Our chemistry. How long before some of our players get sick of the Baker and Freddie show?

Is it going to be hard for you to defend these guys when everyone turns on them?

I read a topic on reddit that showed how the Browns, for the 1st 3 weeks, had the 5th toughest schedule for passing defense. And for the rest of the season they have the 7th easiest.

So that may be part of the problem.

A little bit. But, I think it is important to balance the information so that folks get to see a more complete picture. Believe me, I have defended dudes in the past that I did not want to.

I am hoping that there will never be a need to defend them. I still have hope they can get the job done. thumbsup

I said last year I don’t think ward will pan out and will be a bust. Simply because he’s dainty and made of glass. Should have taken Chubb, then we wouldn’t have needed to trade for vernon and still have had zeiter. Ward is super talented but don’t matter if you’re in the tub

Any proof in this statement or are you just going on a "hunch"? I'd like to read proof that says Dorsey and Haslam hired Freddie because Baker "likes him". Otherwise, it's just internet nonsense that isn't productive nor constructive.

Or just believe that Jimmy Haslam, John Dorsey, Eliot Wolf, Paul DePodesta, and Andrew Berry spent six weeks exploring the possibilities, interviewed eight candidates, and walked away with Kitchens as the UNANIMOUS choice.

But let's not let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory.

We are talking about the team...we want to know where you read from credible sources that FK got the job because Baker "likes him". That is a legit question as you are "belittling" the team. Notice I also deleted the other parts of your statement as I agree that too much talking is coming out of the locker rooms (less so from FK, however). It's time to just play ball.

Look, mistakes have been made in 3 games, but we also just balled out against the 2nd best team in the league with 5/6 starters out and it came down to the last play of the game. Yes, we could have/should have and maybe would have won that game BUT I don't think it serves any real purpose to sit around making unsubstantiated claims and personal opinions on a message board and then get upset when people question it. This weekend will say a lot about where we are as a team and what we still need to do. As big of a stage as last Sunday evening was this one is even bigger as it is a Div opponent and it appears we may be competing w/them for the Div all season. This is a MUST WIN. I will be deeply concerned if we lose, but I don't think FK got the gig because our QB "likes him". Do I think his relationship w/BM was taken into consideration? Sure. There was obvious chemistry from week 8 onwards and FK appeared to transform him as a player and I am sure those conversations came up in their meetings. Did Dorsey and our FO give him the keys to the Porsche simply because BM "likes him". I HIGHLY doubt it. I trust the process in their decision.

I think the report comes out after practice

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Higgens went from Limited Participation to DNP yesterday
Hubbard went from DNP on Wednesday to Limited Participation yesterday
Devaroe Lawrence was back in action yesterday

On the Ravens, Earl Thomas returned to Full Participation, but their ILB Alaka was downgraded to DNP yesterday.

Today's report should be updated in a couple of hours, I think.

Getting Randall back should help a lot.

I hadn’t realized Smith was injured for them

I dont expect greedy or ward back until maybe after the bye week. As I said hamstring injury can linger for a very long time. Mitchel, who in my opinion should have been starting over greedy anyways needs to stay healthy

Agreed PPE, Baker could use a safety valve WR, and in general more options to get rid of the ball quicker.

Browns’ Chris Hubbard active vs. Ravens, but Rashard Higgins, Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams are out

By Mary Kay Cabot, cleveland.com
BALTIMORE — Browns starting right tackle Chris Hubbard is active this week, but receiver Rashard Higgins will miss his third straight game with a knee injury.

Hubbard sat out last week’s loss to the Rams with the foot injury, and Justin McCray started in his place.

Denzel Ward, Greedy Williams and Morgan Burnett -- three members of the defensive backfield -- are also inactive for the second straight week.

For the Ravens, starting Pro Bowl defensive tackle Brandon Williams is inactive with a knee injury.

He was added to the injury report on Saturday, and ruled out Sunday morning.

Williams had started 29 straight games dating back to Oct. 15, 2017, when the Bears rush for 231 yards on the Ravens. The loss of Williams is a huge break for Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb.

As for Ward and Williams, they sat out all week with their hamstrings and are missing their second straight games.

Fortunately for the Browns, they have excellent backup cornerbacks in Terrance Mitchell and T.J. Carrie, or as Mitchell pointed out this week, “I’m not a backup.’’

Mitchell had been alternating series at cornerback with Williams the first two games, and was a starter last year until he suffered a broken wrist four games into the season. He came back and started three of the last four games.

Carrie also started the last eight games of last season, and both of the replacements for today could be starting for many NFL teams.

Carrie is also off to a hot start this season, with a fumble recovery and one of the two interceptions off Jared Goff, who threw only 12 all last season. The other was by safety Juston Burris, who re-joined the Browns just two days early off waivers from the Raiders.

“Those guys are vets, they’re definitely capable of playing,’’ Ward said this week. “You saw that [Sunday]. They did a real good job. T.J., he had an interception, and T-Mitch, he played well.

Mitchell and Carrie also bring excellent tackling skills, which will be vital against the Ravens’’ run-heavy offense.

“It’s something [Steve Wilks] harps on continuously because the run game is something that you definitely want to stop in this league and that’s our mantra of coming out to every game is making sure that we stop the run and make a team one dimensional and just being able to pass. Then we can sit back there, get interceptions, get tips and make plays on the ball.’’
