It was probably 50 yards east of the toll booth thing in the lot. There was a WMMS van about 8 spots east of us (not sure if there are multiple WMMS vans or not)

Directly across from the E 9th & W 3rd signs on Route 2. Across from the green plane hanger @ the airport.

That's ridiculous...I can't believe the Cops didn't do anything.

It's also kinda weird that those guys would do such things with the likes of thugs like GM and Deisle patrolling the area.

I agree. There is a point where it isn't funny anymore.

I am afraid there are too many fans staining our reputation of being good NFL fans.

Being a good fan isn't being a drunken idiot, taunting opposing fans.

The Island was jus fine.

We only had one problem, when I almost had to fight a bum. He asked for a beer, and some money, I told him I only had six beers and no money. He then proceeded to tell us that he was just going to hit us and take our beer "so yall don't have nothing".

He pretended to wind up to slap my fried, and then proceeded to fall directly to the ground, where he couldn't get up.

337, saw the whole thing.

Other than that, I just had to kick back and pound some shots and beers. Noice!

LOL!
Seeing that made my day, no matter what happened at the game

Why can't everybody just get along? It can happen - here's proof:

I received nothing but good natured ribbing at Cleveland Browns stadium...and not even much of that. But I did witness alot of bad stuff too, which was mentioned in shep's thread.

By the way, that pic is on the Steelers official website.

Yes boys and girls....we made it on steelers.com. I'm having a hard time adjusting to this realization as of yet, but hey.....that's showbiz.

As for the current topic at hand.......it's abominable to think that someone can get away with punching and destroying a windshield. However, there are those of us that were at DTI that witnessed a similar event a few years back. It was a domestic dispute as opposed to a fan related dispute, but it's sad that people can't attend a ballgame without thinking they have to get all liquored up and act like an ass.

That's not the purpose folks.

It's a game.

A lot of Ravens rans go to games. You'll be alright. The worse place is in the bathrooms though b/c I hate to say but a lot of jerkoffs get drunk and like to start fights in there. But if you just take it and don't encourage them it's fine.

Mike, I could possibly have an extra ticket to the Ravens/Browns game. It depends on if my brother is going to have to miss the game for his daughters cheerleading competition

Seriously, we're not sure if her competition is Saturday or Sunday that week, but if it's Sunday, I'll have his ticket, you're more than welcome to meet me up there and catch the game if I do end up with the ticket.

I go to the muni to tailgate....and then off to the stadium......I do it to get away from the evrey day stress and bull that comes along with life....I just want to cut loose and enjoy a football game....

If I wanted to fight...and be an ass......I would stay home.....

While I have never tailgated in the Muni lot (only been to 3 games), I have seen my share of unruly behaivor on the way into the staduim. Basically its exactly what has been discussed on this board. On the flip side I have tailgated in the Cincy lot when I went to the Celeveland game at Paul Brown with my friends (all of them are who dey fans) and while I did take the usual verbal abuse associated with being a Browns fan, it was nothing past that (prolly because we lost the game). However I can say the worst places to go are opposing colleges for football. My two worst experiences:

#2
OSU @ Texas last season
So I get out of work the Wednesday before the game and get a call from my uncle down in Texas. His son, my cousin, won't be back from the army in time to attend the Texas game for which they now have an extra ticket, which they offer to me since I go to OSU. I agree, get someone to cover for me the next couple days and head to Austin. Get there friday night and spend half the next day pregaming (i didn't get that drunk to be honest) and drove with the family to the game. Got there about 3 hours before kickoff but had to park a good ways from the stadium in off campus student living. My usual gameday attire consists of a white dress shirt, grey slacks, red tie, and my OSU Tressel vest. Walking through the neighborhoods with my Texas fan family made me an easy target. The farther we walked, the worse the hazing got. Even though it was #1 vs #2, it felt like most of the fans were confident they were going to win and still had the upper hand due to last season. Needless to say I took my fairshare of verbal abuse and my outfit was quite unpopular. Mostly words, my hat was stolen once and i almost had beer poured on me twice but my 6'4" 275 lbs uncle quickly made it clear i had traveled all the way from ohio to see this game and persuaded them to take it easy, which they did. (on a side note, I can say without a doubt that the UT campus was home to some of the hottest girls I had ever laid eyes on; which unfortunately for me was agonizing considering they all hated me for being from OSU, Iowa was a close 2nd). We met up with my cousins friends who were my age and proceeded into the stadium to our seats (which were excellent, you could easily see Matt McConoughey doin jumping jacks on the sidelines). I wasn't in the student section and the crowd around me was diverse in age. From college kids to grandparents. Luckily I also had an OSU fan behind me (my dads age) and an attractive OSU fan (who also was in college and actually complemented my outfit) directly in front of me. The game started out close but OSU pulled away in the end. I was able to celebrate with my 2 fellow fans as everyone else was now in a sour mood. Dreams of a repeat season were gone. Leaving the stadium itself was unevetful. I got a few "you were lucky" and so on. But as soon as we got towards residences, oh man. My uncle was now in no mood to defend me and apparently everyone outside venting their frustrations were now taking it out on me. The verbal abuse dramatically escalated, full cups of beer were tossed my way. Every shirtless backwards cap wearin Texan tried to pick a fight, edgin me on any way they could. Im talkin gettin right up in my face. I relented, I had no chance so I walked with pride and shame at the same time. This wasn't the worst i'd been in but it was close. Then as we neared my cousins friends house (who were very cool with me) I made one of the dumbest decisions of my life. I saw a group of about 15 OSU fans across the street and yelled a big O-H. They all yelled back I-O. The group was safe, I wasn't. I yelled it right as I was walking past a house with about 15 Longhorns on the lawn. Someone chucked a full beer at me, it missed but it didnt explode, so i picked it up and cracked it open. I then yelled "Revenge is sweet, 24-7" then held up the beer and yelled "heres to a repeat" took a chug, and then the next thing i know a wall of everything is flying at me (beer cans, shoes, bean bag from cornhole). I took a full can to the knee which left a good bruise but still was able to yell "Go BUCKS" before I ran the last 1/2 block to their house. That night was fun when my cousins friends took me to the parties with me, but it was hit or miss as far as the ppl were concerned. Some took pictures with me and were nice about it, and the others just wanted to kill me basically.

Still doesn't compare to going to Michigan 2 years ago though.......

With all due repsect Peen I dont appreciate being called a drunken idiot. I think you kind of missed what I was saying or I didnt do a good enough of a job explaining it. It was a good natured back and forth ribbing the whole game. We gave it to him when appropriate and he gave it back too. All of a sudden when he was pissed off because his team lost he wanted to cuss and yell at everybody and try to start a fight.

Not everything bad that happened betwen Browns fans and Bunghole fans was the Browns fans doing.

We get alot of comments when we wear our team's colors out in public...and we always find it amusing (just as we do yours). By the way, we saw plenty of other Browns/Steelers couples at the game...
