If anything he's presenting unified front and I think that's good.

I think part of changing the culture is the players knowing the FO and coaching staff are going to stand together. I think that helps players get in line. Any scent of cracks and I think that contributes to coaching staffs losing locker rooms.

Thanks for the updates, really nice to read like this

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

And thats how you put on a good show and be diplomatic. Won't be drama on this team it appears.

Thanks again for all the information. Dorsey did a nice job, in my opinion.

General Manager John Dorsey addressed the media on October 16, 2019. John discusses the state of the team heading into the bye week, what he has liked so far and gives his opinion on what can be improved.

Dorsey said what he should and what we all knew he would ... 10 games certainly is enough to reserve judgment on anything. We’ll see where we’re at in two months

Love the guy, hated his take, to be honest. Specially the way he threw almost everybody under the bus just to save face for some guys...

Either you stand by all, and ask all to be more consistent, or you are fair in your critics and don't say stuff like I'm happy where BM is on the moment... and it takes 11 guys to be on top of the Int's in the NFL...

Sugar coating only makes you more fat....

OL level has been several levels higher that QB play and Coaching, just saying....

I have no problems with Dorsey protecting Baker and Kitchens, just think he himself needs to be more consistent, not just the OL players.

I think what i took from what Dorsey had to say was he expects the Browns to finish the season strong. He was challenging the coaching staff to make sure they do. I do not think Dorsey will be affraid to make changes if the team does not meet his challenge. I also feel he sugar coated his feeling about the way Baker is playing snd the job Freddie has done in hopes they get his message.
Dorsey is trying to get oline help and other pieces so there can be no excuses if the team fails to make the playoffs.

I just want a winner. We need players who can be part of the solution not part of the problem.

Let's also hope Dorsey was at The Game to scout players, not head coaches. I like this new trend of Baking Buckeyes into the Brownies. I also like how Dorsey takes a hands-on approach to scouting.

Cleveland Browns: John Dorsey attending Michigan-Ohio State game

by Dan Justik

Cleveland Browns general manager has been making the college football scouting tour, with his next stop in Columbus for The Game.

Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey has been known to be one of the best talent evaluators in the NFL.

He is not afraid to get his hands dirty and go back to his roots of being a scout, as he will travel around the country to take a look at the next best NFL prospects.

On Saturday, the Browns general manager is in Columbus, Ohio and will be in attendance for the Michigan-Ohio State game.

The Browns currently have 10 draft picks at their disposal for the 2019 NFL Draft, and Dorsey has been making the rounds in recent days to look at potential prospects.

On Friday, Dorsey was in Morgantown, West Virginia for the Oklahoma-West Virginia match-up. Both Oklahoma and West Virginia have plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball. With the Browns lack of weapons, it would not be a surprise to see them target that side of the ball in April.

Also, both Michigan and Ohio State have talent on both sides of the ball. For Ohio State and Browns fans, it is a welcome sign as the Browns general manager has made the trip down I-71.

Ohio State has been putting quality talent in the NFL for the past decade. However, the Browns have rarely added the in-state talent, until Dorsey joined the organization. Dorsey drafted former Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward in the 2018 NFL Draft, and Ward has shown the potential of being one of the next best cornerbacks in the league.

The one interesting aspect of the two recent games that Dorsey has attended is not just the players on the field, but the men on the sidelines. In both games, there is a head coach that is expected to be a candidate for the Browns vacant head coaching job.

Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley is thought to be the Browns No. 1 target for their head coaching vacancy. His dynamic offense and his connection to Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield make him an obvious candidate.

Also, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has been a rumored candidate for the Browns. Despite leaving the NFL a few seasons ago, Harbaugh is seen as someone that will be willing to go back to the professional ranks, especially if he could coach a team with a strong quarterback.

With Dorsey’s early success in the 2018 NFL Draft, it is good to see him back on the road looking at the next NFL prospects. There are multiple representatives from NFL teams in Columbus, but Dorsey is the only known general manager attending.

That was from 10 months ago. Not to say that he won't attend The Game again this year ...... but all of that opining was from before Freddie was hired.

As far as Dorsey goes he made 1 failed trade that has hurt the team greatly. Olivier Vernon has done next to nothing this year. He was suppose to be a compliment to Garrett and has 1 sack in 6 games. The Oline has not played as well this season as they did last year. Kevin Zeitler would have added continuity and stability to our offensive line.

I would grade that trade as a big fat F.

So, you don't think that Vernon's presence has helped Myles record more sacks? You don't think he hasn't helped us against the run? You don't think it's too early to give the grade a big, fat F?
