I got Orlando at -8 yesterday in a parlay with the Clippers (moneyline), Raptors (1.5), Pacers (-7.5) and 76ers (-5).
This thread title is fitting "NBA 19-20 Season" because that's exactly how many wins we will have this season 19 to 20.

Cavs falling apart right now.
The guards refuse to give Love the ball down low even though he has position and is calling for it. He throws his hands up in disgust nearly every offensive possession.
Great start!

I like Philly's roster. They have a lot of athletic, defensive minded guys. They are losing right now, but I think team has a realistic chance of winning it all and a good chance of winning the East.

Magic favored by 9.5 tonight. I'm not one to put money on games, but if I were, I'd put a load on Orlando covering. The team looked like a mess in the preseason. Example #57 as to why I don't put money on sports games. Yikes.

Philly is my pick for the East. They lost Butler and Reddick, but added Horford. He's a vet that does it all. They'll be able to add another shooter at the deadline. Remember, they were a crazy bouncing shot away from OT with the Raptors in game 7. If Embiid can stay healthy, dude it an MVP candidate. I like the Bucks, but Giannis looked lost in the clutch last season. Until we see him turn that around, the 76ers are the team to beat (and I think they'd push the western team to 6 or 7 games too). Clippers are the heavy favorites from the West, and I should go with them, but I think I'll take the Nuggets to be different (76ers winning).

Some of us talked about this a bit last year and I know the Denver/Portland game just started, but Doris Burke is so freaking good at announcing. I typically do not like female announcers due to their delivery, but Doris is great. Her comment about Lillard having to know the difference between when to pass the ball to Nurkic` and Whiteside was so incredibly astute.
She is a basketball goddess!

Yeah, big Doris fan here. she's the best, would love to see her replace Mark Jackson on the A-team for the NBA. That team is awful to begin with, and she would be a breath of fresh air (Breen and Van Gundy aren't much better) Seriously why does Mike Breen laugh through every big play, it's unbelievably annoying

Van Gundy is annoying as well. Pretty much complains like a grumpy old man the entire game.

The Clips looked very good last night, even better than game 1
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

With Curry out three months, Thompson our all year and Durant, Iggy, Livingston all gone, the Warriors are officially done. I thought they were an 7 seed with Curry, at best.
Heck of a run. I still say, without the Durant signing, they may only win the one title. And that 14-15 title had Kevin and Kyrie out the whole Finals. They could very well have won zero.
Oh well, I’m happy we’ll have a completely fresh Finals this year.

Tough loss for CLE ... I think we’re better than the Pacers

We are. That 2nd quarter was an abomination. That’s what did us in.

NBA All-Star Weekend thoughts:
--Celeb game was atrocious. I'm 63 and could dominate that game. LOL
--Rising Stars game sucked.
--Skills Challenge was decent.
--3-Point Contest rocked. Man, some of those guys were lights-out!
--Dunk contest was awesome! I had grown tired of the contest, but man, those guys were sensational!
--Jennifer Hudson has a great voice. That tribute she did for Kobe was spectacular. Why isn't she more famous?
--Chance did a nice job w/intros.
--Chaka Khan has a powerful voice, but she doesn't really know how to sing. That was a bad rendition of the National Anthem.

I am doing some other things and not following closely, but what is up w/the Quarter scoring in this game? Seems dumb and very gimmicky.

I get the scoring thing now.........and I have to say that this was the best All-Star game in any sport that I have ever seen. Dudes were playing hard. Very intense.
I love competition. That game was highly competitive!!!

Dolan is an embarrassment. He is such a petty person. I loved the Knicks as a kid. Walt "Clyde" Frazier, Willis Reed, Debushre, Earl the Pearl, Bill Bradley, Tricky Dick Barnett, Cazzie Russell, etc.
Now, they are a joke and Dolan is always playing his petty games. The NBA would be better if the Knicks were good. Instead, Dolan has turned the Knicks into a laughing stock.

Cavs missing Drummond, Garland, and Porter Jr, facing down the 42 win Nuggets .... and don't blink, winning the game 104-102.

Lakers win over Bucks was a huge statement game. I predicted that LeBron was going to go off this year and re-establish himself as the best player in the game. I also thought the Lakers had a very good shot at winning the 'Chip.
I will say that the Clippers are their biggest threat. I think they are playing on Tuesday. Should be a great game.

I will say that the Clippers are their biggest threat. I think they are playing on Tuesday. Should be a great game. Lebron dominated Giannis. One looked like a polished player, the other looked like a physically dominant player with little basketball skill. I was surprised how lopsided that game within the game went. Of course, the refs were pro Lakers and Lebron has Anthony Davis, but still...in their one on one matchups Lebron took it to Giannis. I don't know if Lebron has established himself as the best player in the game again but he's playing great. I don't think they beat the Clippers in the playoffs but it wouldn't surprise me if they do. And I have no issue with Lebron winning it all. I'm a Lebron fan. I rank him as the #2 of all time. I feel a little bad for Giannis. Middleton isn't dynamic enough as a #2. If Milwaukee makes it to the Finals they'll be playing a team with multiple stars. I hope he sticks with Milwaukee and they can add to their team. Hate to see superstars leave smaller markets.

Lakers vs Clippers today at 3:30.
This game should be interesting because there has been a lot of talk about the two teams and about LeBron vs Kawhi.
