I doubt that any dems are 'leaking' this information to the media. I think you fail to realize that half the room is Republican in these hearings. So it's not like your side doesn't have the chance OR take the opportunity to comment (leak) to media, especially if they can spin it to make dems look bad. So much for your wokeness.

I am very sad that everything has come to this. So many folks want to gloat, and party over Trump, and this impeachment stuff. I realize that this crap hurts America, and I don't understand how so many americans can be so Happy about our country being dragged through the mud. It is so very sad to see people happy about our mistakes. We are all on the same side.... or at least I thought so for all of my life. Now I see more people who care about themselves and who say to hell with our country. Because they only care about themselves

But in the end, everyone is going to get something from all this.

I am 99 percent sure the House will impeach.
I am also 99 percent sure the Senate will throw it out.

In the end, everything will be as it was and nothing important will have gotten done for America.

I think that is something we can all agree upon

I take absolutely no joy in this whatsoever. For certain people at this web address, I have nothing left but snark. I typed up what I thought was a cogent observation earlier today and dumped it because: what's the point any more? I banged out one last night that covered several irrefutable points of fact: crickets. So I now save those kinds of posts for other web addresses where the level of discourse is worth the effort expended.

This is a very dark period in our country's narrative, and much is at stake during these times. The impeachment inquiry was necessary, given the preponderance of circumstantial evidence piling up. To not ask these questions, to simply say that "there's no there there" is a dereliction of duty each elected official swore to uphold.

There was a time quite recently that I thought we were all on the same side. It no longer feels like that. I'll post an article I recently read which addresses that very thing, and then I'll leave the thread to be discussed by others.

I'll close by saying this: as much as I snark it out in this forum, I feel pretty much as you do. This has been painful for me to watch for more than 5-6 years now, and it's only getting worse.

All Republicans voted NO.
2 Dems joined the Republicans.

It is split along political lines with almost zero Bipartisanship.
