President Donald Trump tweeted Sunday morning his first comments about the wildfires blazing through California attacking Gov. Gavin Newsom saying he has done a "terrible job" of forest management. In response, Newsom tweeted, "You don’t believe in climate change. You are excused from this conversation." He also suggested that the federal government will not be giving the state funding to help battle these wildfires adding, "Every year, as the fire’s rage & California burns, it is the same thing-and then he comes to the Federal Government for $$$ help. No more." This is not the first time Trump has made this threat. Last November, as crews battled the Camp and Woolsey fires, Trump blamed the state in a tweet for "gross mismanagement of the forests" and left state officials with this choice: "Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!" Then in January, he threatened again via tweet to end federal emergency funding to help aid California’s destructive wildfires tweeting, "Unless they get their act together, which is unlikely, I have ordered FEMA to send no more money. It is a disgraceful situation in lives & money." Although the president has a history of casting blame on California officials, most of California's forests are owned and managed by federal agencies. Federal agencies manage 57 percent of the approximately 33 million acres of forest in the state, according to research done by the University of California. The president also tweeted Sunday morning that California "desperately needs water." There are actually a total of 14 states that have adopted the same emission standards as California. So it's not actually "their own way".
And as the article stated, 57% of California forests are owned and managed by federal agencies. So actually what you just posted has no meaning in reference to either of the things posted in this thread.
Once again it's just Trump spouting off without really knowing what he's talking about.

America use to stand for something. We helped political refugees. We stood up to Russian aggression.
We represented a better way of life. We supported those looking for a democratic way of life. Outside of Native Americans we are a nation of immigrants.
It was ok to be an Republican or Democrat. We were all Americans and supported a difference of opinion.
This is what we have now. Ideologues empowered to turn their back on their own countrymen(in need). Because their president sets the example. A person who calls an American judge bias because he is building a wall and the guy is a Mexican.

This goes back to previous conversations about the facts I post with regards to metro counties having to subsidize a lot of rural counties, because a lot of rural counties do not make enough income on their own to support themselves.

The U.S. government is responsible for the management of over half of the California wilderness. They won't talk about that.
They don't want to talk about how Trump was happy to help Texas after the hurricane, yet they rank 3rd in illegal immigrants per capita. I'm sure they don't want to talk about that. Arizona ranks second and I'm sure they won't address that either.
