My wife and I went and saw this film on Saturday night and I have been thinking about it ever since. Absolutely superb filmmaking of the highest order and easily the best film I have seen this year. It won the Palme d'Or at Cannes and I hope it wins Best Picture at the Oscars, but as it is subtitled it probably won't. If it is playing at a cinema near you please go as you won't be disappointed.

Looking forward to checking it out.

I got a kick out of his movie "The Host" a few years back.

Korean cinema can be addictive at times.

Wow. Recognized the filmmaker's name and knew I had watched one of his movies... The Host. An amazing horror film because it was so much more. Bong Joon-Ho's ability to weave so many elements and solicit so many emotions was uncanny. This sounds like another genre-bender, and from what I've read (just enough to avoid spoilers), this will really cement his place as one of our great filmmakers.

Hope I can find this on the big screen. In the meantime, I'm going to explore some more of his catalog, meant to when I watched The Host, but never followed through. Sadly, sometimes it's that lazy attitude of not wanting to read subtitles.

I didn't realize he also did 'The Host'. I know that he did a film called 'Murder & Snowpiercer', which is about South Korea's first serial killer (apparently) and comes highly recommended.

'Parasite' is absolutely incredible. Really fantastic filmmaking at its best.

It's well worth your time....within 5-10 minutes you don't even notice you are reading and able to look at the imagery as well. Hopefully it is shown at a cinema near you. Well worth seeing on the big screen.
