I'd love to run the table but I think the odds of us sweeping Pittsburgh and Baltimore this year are slim... I'm going to root like hell every week but I see 8-8 in our future... I just hope the games down the stretch mean something for us and our opponent. We need to play in some of those games..
I think we have a better chance of sweeping Pitt than beating Balt again. JMO. But we very well could drop a game to a lesser opponent like the cards or dolphins. We are that type of team
I actually think the opposite: we have a better chance of beating Baltimore than PIttsburgh. We struggle when another team’s defense can assert their will (Tennessee, San Francisco, Denver) and Pittsburgh’s is better IMO

Disagree. Those three teams didn't beat us because of defense. San Fran blew us out. They ran for like 1000 yards. Their offense destroyed us.

Tenn we beat ourselves the entire game with dumb penalty after penalty.

Denver we moved the ball at will it seemed, we just let their offense look like Brady and Co.

For me it's simple: we can only drop 1 game, and that game can't be to the Steelers or Ravens. IF that loss is to a division opponent it has to be the Bengals. I have this feeling that we'll lose if we have to go to any head to head results.

I don’t know why, but I have a weird feeling that we may beat the Steelers tomorrow ... and then lose to the Dolphins the following week

If we beat the Steelers tomorrow there is no way we lose to the Dolphins. The key will be beating the Steelers again at their house.

I hear yeah. Trying to go undefeated or only 1 loss down the stretch is a mighty tall order, but there are clearly games we should win. I guess I still don't trust them enough to feel anything other than that losing a game in the "should win" column will be the game that keeps us out of the playoffs. It would only seem a fitting consequence for a team who wouldn't get it's act together early on.

Shame on the organization, FO, coaches, and players for making the fans feel that way.

But y'know the fans don't come out, then they aren't loud enough, then they are too loud. Meanwhile these owners, FO, coaches, and players have literally no idea what it has been like for lifelong fans of this team.

Less talking, more winning.

Ok that’s two!

Even though with atleast 3 players facing suspension, Miami won’t be easy.

Miami was going to be easy.

Something tells me it still will be.

The next Steeler game, though...refs will probably be instructed to allow Pitt to do whatever it wants.

Ok that is now 2 in a row...a game that we were supposedly going to get stomped and then all the excuses came from Aikman who btw when did he become a steeler???

We didn't win that game we stomped them, I won't get into the fight at the end except this who was getting stomped? Who started the altercation who came after Garrett who was being attacked by 3 Steelers and once again the agressor in all that didn't get suspended. The one who started the altercation and continued to attack throughout I could care less if he was their QB or not without a helmet on. Refs hates us we know that. Their only drive was all refs the entire drive except the final 3 yards.

So no we continue our quest losing Garrett for probably 4 games hopefully 2 as he is not a punk who has aggression issues. Larry gets kicked out of the game for a simple push in the back of the Aggressor who got away with nothing...a little push in the back SUSPENDED...if he gets suspended the NFL is against the Browns. Randall our DB leader he came in hard a little late but he was coming in low and the WR bent his head down unfortunately, intent was not there he should not get a suspension. The ref in the announcing crew said oh he won't get suspended as he watched the replay...but he got suspended cause it was against the Steelers who OWN THE NFL and referees. OWN THEM.

So now our quest will continue with a make shift D, hopefully Vernon will be back. Hopefully Randall will be back and we got Ward and a growing Greedy. Shoebert is a beast and you got to love Wilson. But you know what. Our Offense will have to take over the game and become the scoring machine they should be.

Meanwhile we threw 2 TD passes against the Bills which no other team did. We also ran against the steelers which no other team did, we scored on our opening drive against the steelers which no other team did.

So our Offense will have to take over to keep this going!!!

I use too many words to make a point and you use not enough words...lol grin

1game out of playoffs

I ASSume you are saying if we lose one game out of the last 6 we are out of the playoff run. ???

Which is probably true, I don't think 9-7 will get a team in the playoffs this year.

My goodness somebody has to start beating the Ravens besides us!!! are else we can be 6-0 in our division and not win it.

Has that ever happened in the NFL btw???

When will a team understand that they have to and can easily STOP THE RUN....all this "AND HE CAN PASS LIKE A STUD QB" Is a load of hooey...put a little pressure on him and cover well not get ran all over literally and then get caught with wide open WRs with play action!

They might win a lot of games but they will never win an NFL Championship with this kind of Offense!

But my goodness will somebody start beating the RAVENS!

jmho

well im hoping that they drop atleast two of those. the most likely being the Texans and Rams.

i was thinking it was the 49ers, but watching that game they lost against the seahawks...they allow way too many open lanes that a mobile QB can exploit.

i say the texans because Watson is better than Lamar, and the Rams because....i dunno i just need the ravens to lose atleast two of these games so that WE have a shot at getting in.

We really need Baltimore to lose a game that it shouldn’t because they won the game that they shouldn’t have: NE

Realistically the only chance I see for the Browns is if the Ravens lose 3 of these 4 games. Buffalo is the least likely but on any Sunday those teams could beat the Ravens. . . . If Browns win 4 (MIA, PIT, CINCI, ARI) we'd be 8-6 and the Ravens would be 9-5 when we meet week 16. I'm giving BAL an automatic W vs the Jets.

Buffalo actually has that run D that can stop the Ravens.

They are very similar teams.

Don't forget 5th game is US they should have a tough time against us. Our O is finally coming around. Baker has not turned the ball over now in last 3 games...Since the embarrassment against the Pats. I think team wise no turnovers on O.

Seibert has to get back on track with his kicking - those last two FG attempts were no where close.

Baker is almost up to 60% completion as he had a terrible start. another 2 TD game against Steelers and 2 against Buffalo. Starting to become Baker of old...lol laugh

OBJ starting to actually catch some balls but they are so off in their timing and reads.

We have really missed Njoku He could have had a dozen TDs with the attention OBJ and Landry get in the red zone.

Hunt is changing this Offense now to a power house...his WR skills and Chubbs power running with both in the backfield. The O will carry us with some good game from the D but without Garrett no longer the Domination to control the game.

Good point about Buffalo being able to stop Baltimore; hopefully that’s the case. They are similar teams, Baltimore just has More fire power.

I’m not sure Houston can win on the road like that, but It’d be nice if they get a W tomorrow

I used to feel like that until they whooped the Seahawks and Patriots.

I think they benefitted from playing both the week after we played them, but they were disciplined, mistake free and lucky, which sunk us.

If we want revenge it looks like we’ll have to get in as a Wildcard and get it in the playoffs.

We already drew up the blueprint to beating PIT before Myles had his 'meltdown moment': shut down the run, force Rudolph to win through the air, then get continuous pressure in his face. Wilks planned the perfect D game plan that against PIT. That leaves our O, which remains unchanged from Baker needs to get the ball out quick, spread it around, and play mistake-free.

Here's an important takeaway from Thursday's game: the only points PIT scored happened on a drive where we gained more yards for them than they did for themselves (was it 50+ yards of penalties?). Play smarter during that series, and CLE may have pitched a shutout. 21-0? I'll take that any day, every day. Elves are 2-0 in the division. ooo

Upshot: PIT is primed for a 2019 sweep by CLE... if our boys can get/keep their heads right. CLE fans deserve to see such a thing... with all 3 of our division rivals.

I hope CLE goes into Heinz, and administers a merciless beat-down... with extreme prejudice. 30-something to single digits. Go get this win for 95- and his genitalia.

FIST IN THE AIR!!!
FREE MYLES!!!

As always, I dig the spirit Clemmy ... I do think we’ll be motivated as well. The hope is that the “support” for Myles grows in the media since Rudolph wasn’t suspended ... at the very least, we can use it as a team

That is my only consideration, Dawg.
The team has no control over anything else.
The only thing they can control- is the games they play.

That means controlling their opponents.
This team can do it.

Gotta make this run, bro... for a long/hard as we can.
Gotta start 'The New AFCN Paradigm' this year.

We can't look past Miami. Get down to business and make it a quick game with the offense that is slowly coming into form.

I think Wilkes will continue to earn his salary.

Browns really needed the Texans to beat the Ravens today, without that, it may be moot even if the Browns win out.

Here are the Ravens remaining schedule, After beating the Texans,
We need the Ravens to lose "3" that "are not" the Browns,
and also need the "Browns to beat the Ravens" and win out (none of this "one more loss" stuff,)

( I can want it, ^ but just look at the math)

playoffstatus. com I mean, not to promote a different site but that's where I get so much info so explanatory

Ravens remaining schedule,
At LA Rams
Home 49ers
At Buffalo
Home Jets
At Browns
Home Steelers.

They have to go 2-4 (or worse) including a loss to the Browns, for the Browns to win the division

And the way the AFC is stacking with the Raiders, Bills, Colts, Titans, that the Browns chances at a "wild card" are even worse than above.

Folks talking about "losing one game down the stretch"?

Ya, that was the opener, (Titans);
that was the Seahawks,
that was the 49ers,

Browns already skewed the pooch, so to speak.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I think the Browns are going to dismantle the Dolphins.

Like Baker 5 TD performance type of game.

The season will hinge on the second Steeler game.

I think the ravens winning today pretty much put the nail in the coffin on our chances to win the division. Even if we sweep the ravens, their record will Be good enough that it won’t matter.

We’re gonna have to win out to make the wildcard. In for that situation, the ravens beating the Texans helps us out.

The issue however is that we only play 1 team that’s ahead of us in the standings, and that’s the Steelers, who still possess a better record than us. We own the tie breaker over the bills, but they are now 7-3.

Bills, Texans, raiders, Steelers and titans are all ahead of us in the wildcard spot/hunt. So even if we win out, we need so much help to get in.

And we have no one to blame but ourselves if we once again miss the playoffs. I could see a scenario where the titans beat us for the final spot because they own the tie breaker due to waxing us in the home opener.

You can only hope the players and the coaching staff learn from this and recognize every game means something.

The nonchalant approach to the off-season, the beginning of the regular season, and the lack of work put in is what ultimately might keep them out of the playoffs even if they win out.

Makes me sick to my stomach.
