Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) traveled to Europe with three aides from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, 2018, on a $63,000 taxpayer-funded investigative trip, and Lev Parnas, an associate of Rudy Giuliani arrested last month on federal campaign finance and conspiracy charges, helped arrange meetings and calls for his trip, The Daily Beast reports, citing Parnas lawyer Ed MacMahaon and congressional records. Nunes aide Derek Harvey was involved in the Parnas meeting, and he accompanied Nunes to Europe along with fellow aides Scott Glabe and George Pappas.

At the time of the trip, Nunes was outgoing chairman of the House Intelligence Committee — he is now the committee's top Republican and lead voice in the public impeachment hearings. Nunes was visiting Europe as part of his investigation into the origins of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of Russia and President Trump's campaign. During the period Nunes was in Europe, Giuliani was in the middle of his ultimately successful campaign to oust U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Maria Yovanovitch, a plot Parnas and partner Igor Fruman were also involved in, according to the federal indictment.

Parnas "believed that what he was doing was furtherance of the president's and thus our national interests," said Joseph Bondy, a member of Parnas' legal team. "President Trump's recent and regrettable disavowal of Mr. Parnas has caused him to rethink his involvement and the true reasons for his having been recruited to participate in the President's activities. Mr. Parnas is prepared to testify completely and accurately about his involvement in the President and Rudy Giuliani's quid pro quo demands of Ukraine." Read more at The Daily Beast.

If only we could just read the phone call transcripts and ask the President of Ukraine how HE felt about the phone calls. When will we take HIS feelings into account?

Trump Accuses Vindman of Becoming a War Hero Just to Make Him Look Bad

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Moments after the decorated veteran testified to Congress on Tuesday, Donald Trump accused Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman of becoming a war hero “just to make me look bad.”

In a vicious broadside on Twitter, Trump claimed that Vindman carried out an “evil plan, years in the making” to “load himself up with medals” that would give his future testimony against Trump greater credibility.

“Fifteen years ago, he went to fight in Iraq, thinking to himself, ‘Boy, this is going to help me when I try to attack Trump someday,’ ” Trump tweeted. “This is how the Never Trumpers roll.”

When Vindman earned a Purple Heart, Trump wrote, “His scheme to attack me personally really started coming together.”

Trump contrasted Vindman, whom he called a “disgraceful showboat,” unfavorably with Representative Devin Nunes, whom he labelled “a great American.”

“Say what you will about Devin Nunes, he’ll never go and do something heroic,” Trump tweeted.

I believe our Constitution states it is the responsibility of the President to set foreign policy.

Giving billions of tax payer dollars to a corrupt government is not good policy.

Trump would be wise to hold that money back until he could be assured our dollars were not wasted.

Marching a bunch of butt hurt bureaucrats through the House, crying about their bosses policy changes, doesn't fly.

Honestly - totally pathetic. Quit while your simply a long long way behind. The facts don't line up with the lies and deflection you are spinning and there are too many with their eyes open.

I think the biggest issue is gonna be this:

The majority of American people don’t really understand the major importance of foreign policy, and are even less educated on specific issues, such as Ukraine.

And the specifics are boring. Facts are boring. A lot of people can’t point to crimea on a map, never mind Ukraine or hell, a lot of places. And with so much disinformation out there, it’s gonna be hard to convince people, especially trump supporters, of the narratives they and their republican leadership use are Russian propaganda rhetoric.

Most trump supporters still push this nonsense about Hillary Clinton killing a staffer, Seth reich, which was a Russian propaganda campaign. Look how many conservatives pushed that nonsense right here on this board.

We still got a good chunk of people who still think Obama is a foreign born Muslim. So good luck giving them real information.

I am informed and I support Trump's policy of sending TOW anti tank weapons to Ukraine. They can wrap and carry them in Obama's blankets.

Now, I find all this conjecture and innuendo to be a bit boring so why don't the Dems just impeach already, like they have planned to do since day one in 2016?
Then the Senate can have a real trial, call real witnesses like the whistle blower and Biden's kid, maybe even Biden himself, maybe Obama.
