So I was thinking this morning. It seems like Brady is planning to move on after this season with the Patriots. (I personally think Brady wants to win 1 Super Bowl without Bellichik simply to prove a point) Now its important to understand that: 1. At Brady’s insistence, the contract “extension” he signed with the Patriots this offseason makes him a free agent and prohibits the team from placing the franchise tag on him after the season. 2. In August, Brady and Bundchen listed their Boston-area mansion for $39.5 million. The price for the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home in Brookline was slashed to $33.9 million this month. In addition to the celeb couple’s custom-built home being placed on the market, Brady’s business partner and personal trainer, Alex Guerrero, also placed his house on the market in August. https://www.insidehook.com/article/sports/tom-brady-leave-new-england-patriots-retire-nflNow with this in mind, I ask you...do you want to see the Browns win a Super Bowl in your lifetime? If you do, you roll up the damn Brinks truck to Brady this offseason and sign him to whatever the **** he wants (He isn't retiring im pretty sure about that) Now with Brady QB with Beckham, Landry, Hunt, Chubb, we will at least get to the Super Bowl even with an idiot like Kitchens as the HC I personally don't care what Mayfield thinks I want to see this team win a damn bowl before I die. Brady is so fast at making decisions with the ball that OL won't have to be completely revamped...he makes a decision in about 2.3 seconds or so give or take on average....Brady has won Super Bowls with OIL worse than ours this season. If we have a chance to get Brady this offseason, we got to. We have about a 2 year window before our chance at winning a Super Bowl is going to be gone, and I don't think we have time to wait on Mayfield to figure it out. Even if we have Brady for only 1 year, what he could teach Mayfield would be invaluable if he is willing to swallow his pride and sit his rear end down for 1 year to learn from the best ever. I know this sounds like a pipe dream, but i believe Brady is going to play somewhere other than New England next year, and to be frank if Brady can win us a Super Bowl it cements him to the point that no other QB ever will ever be considered better than him period...he not only becomes a legend, he becomes larger than life like a mythological hero and Brady does have an ego. If he is availabe we gotta sign him ASAP no matter how much he costs, let him run the offsense, **** let him call the plays even, we will win i assure you...we would at least get to the Super Bowl for the 1st ever, and Mayfield is still on a rookie contract costing us peanuts, Brady could teach this organization how to win and finally change the culture here from a team of losers to a franchise that has won a Super Bowl, that changes EVERYTHING for us, it gets us over the hump...God i hope it happens...

I am willing to risk it. But lots of fictional leaps as to what can be done assuring outcomes. I cannot see this happening, but as I said, I am willing to risk it. Is he bringing Edelman? Maybe Gronk? I can't see him doing this. But roll the dice.

No thanks. I think BB wants Baker. BB slobbered all over him when we played them. Do not trade the young promising QB for the over the hill QB. Let BB come here and be our coach.

I’d rather go after mcdaniels than Brady

Anything could happen.
I said it was a "pipedream" it probably won't happen , BUT if Brady does become an Unrestricted FA, doesn't sign a new deal with NE, and actually hits FA with the intention to keep playing...id sign him in a heartbeat if he was interested in coming here.

Forget that,
I happened to see some video footage of Dan Fouts playing some Turkey Bowl with a bunch of the neighborhood kids. He can still sling that rock!
Sooooooo........ we sign Fouts, get on the phone with Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith...... and we're a freakin Urlacher away from 8-8!
Go get em Dorsey!
If those names aren't in your Rolodex, asked a retired GM if they are in his Rolodex!

If I'm loading up a Brinks truck and sending it to Foxboro at the end of the season, it's to get Belichick, not Brady.
Bring Belichick here for 3 years, with our current roster and maybe a tweak or two to meet his needs, we will win a super bowl (or 2) and have a winning culture to turn over to the next young coach we have to promote from within....
And we don't have to worry about Belichick getting injured and blowing up the whole plan.

And we don't have to worry about Belichick getting injured and blowing up the whole plan. Kraft has already backed up the Brinks truck to keep him there all these years. I mean, unless Jimmy is going to offer Belichick a significant share of team ownership (not going to happen), there's really nothing he can do to get him here. And I have no idea why Belichick would want to be here. He wants to put the finishing touches on his 20+ year run in New England. This means leaving the franchise in good shape and turning it over to the next coach and good young QB.

At his age the answer may be as simple as he plans to retire after this season.
But that wouldn't make for as interesting of a theory. That's what i think he should do, finish out on top, or close enough to it.

Brady for Odell.
Hmmmmm.
That would make me mad.

If this was shady, the video guy was a complete idiot for wearing Pats gear while doing the filming.

Patriots admit 'inappropriately' filming sideline during Bengals-Browns game BUT the team claims the footage was for a web series and not a 'Spygate' sequel as coach Bill Belichick insists he has 'zero involvement' in incidenthttps://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...g.html#comments

I see the Browns trading OBJ to the Patriots for some picks.
Just a guess.
I hope the Pats don't lose draft picks due to some camera deal last week.

The Art of coaching is done by HBO, not the Patriots.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Seattle is a good fit for OBJ. They need WR's and he would go great with Russel Wilson. I would ask for a 1st and 2nd round pick.

This thread title is so disrespectful.
It’s GOAT Brady, not Tom.

j/c Tom Brady agrees to contract extension with Patriots For his 42nd birthday, Tom Brady received a special gift from the New England Patriots: a long-awaited contract extension. The future Hall of Fame quarterback agreed to terms on a two-year, $70 million contract extension with New England on Sunday, a source told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. The deal raises Brady's 2019 salary from $15 million to $23 million. Brady is then scheduled to make $30 million in 2020 and $32 million in 2021, though both Brady and New England are "amenable" to adjusting the numbers if necessary, Rapoport added. Already in uncharted territory, Brady is now under contract through 2021, his age-44 season. The quarterback has insisted for years that he would like to play until he's at least 45 years old. This deal keeps that goal still in the realm of possibility. Brady was set to enter the final season of a two-year restructured deal agreed to last August before he struck an extension with the Pats this weekend. Brady was scheduled to make $15 million and carry a $27 million cap hit in 2019. The Patriots QB has still never entered a season in the final year of his deal. The six-time Super Bowl champion was never at risk of entering the 2019 season without assurances past this campaign. Striking a deal was a matter of when not if. Brady and the Pats came to agreement on Aug. 4, nearly one year to the day when they agreed to a restructured deal in 2018 (Aug. 10), so a contract adjustment like this was not unprecedented. Brady appeared calmly confident this week when asked whether he deserved a contract extension, joking to reporters, "Have I earned [an extension]? I don't know. That's up for talk show debate. What do you guys think? Should we take a poll?" There's no denying Brady deserved assurances from the Patriots past this season, but negotiating extensions for players of his age is not an exact science. The QB's ability to play into his 40s at an MVP level is unprecedented, and New England does not have a succession plan yet. For some time, Jimmy Garoppolo was thought to be the heir to the throne, but New England traded him to San Francisco during the 2017 season. Behind Brady now are journeyman backup Brian Hoyer and rookie Jarrett Stidham, not exactly world-beaters. Brady's play has barely taken a dip. After his 2017 MVP campaign, the Patriots QB got off to a slow start but finished with 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns, 11 picks and, most importantly, one Lombardi trophy. However, there's no telling when a quarterback, even one as limber as Brady, will see a dropoff in ability. Peyton Manning's skill memorably fell off a cliff during Denver's 2015 Super Bowl season before the Broncos QB announced his retirement. The difference: Manning had myriad injury issues, while Brady has stayed relatively healthy since he tore his ACL in 2008. Most important in Brady's extension might be the flexibility. The sides' reported willingness to revisit Brady's contract after every season allows for the two to tinker with his salary and bonuses, as they see fit. Through thick and thin, Brady and New England have demonstrated a strong and unique working relationship. The historic success this century of both the quarterback and franchise are inextricably linked. Sunday's news confirmed that will remain the case until at least 2021. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001...n-with-patriots

When the article says through thick and thin, I'm not exactly sure what the "thick" is. They haven't really experienced any adversity so nah. If I didn't know any better, Brady has a position at the massage parlor Kraft likes to go to.

Minor correction to that article: Brian Hoyer plays for the Colts. It's actually Jarrett Stidham and Cody Kessler backing up Brady.
